Brex took my money and never returned it. I closed a business account with some funds in it and were supposed to send a check to me equivalent to the funds. The check never came. When I contacted them via support chat to ask them about it, they kept claiming that they had emailed me a form to fill out and get the check from me. The email never came. Support chat refused to stay on the line for this for me and kept saying to wait for the email. Of course, the email never did come. I still would like my money back and am surprised that a US Bank can treat their customers this way. Maybe they're a victim of the SVB fallout, but either way I would still like my very normal business account sum back. Until then, I cannot recommend this company less. Horrible, nasty company! If I could give half a star I would....System is buggy and super invasive. **************** stinks, when you can get a human to respond. This company needs to go bankrupt, we don't need another pseudo bank pushing customers around, find a real bank that still has some customer service VALUES and respects customer autonomy - OH!! also, they are collecting data and threatening the user to be locked out if they refuse - STAY AWAY!!Brex Response

My previous employer gave me a prepaid mastercard via brex as an end of year bonus. It has expired and I need to speak with someone at brex to reissue the card. It is IMPOSSIBLE to speak with anyone without having a business account. I've tried email, and get told I don't have an account. I can get to chat support without having an account. The one phone number does not work as I don't have an account. How is this possible?Brex Response

DO NOT bank with Brex, ever! Run! They have decided to close accounts on thousands of people with very little notice. I banked with them for almost two years and had the rug pulled out from under my business. At first I thought the snarky email was spam because it was so unbelievable, but it is all true..Here are some alternatives I found to be pretty good: Mercury, BlueVine, Relay, Novo.Brex Response

Ive been using Brex for more than a year to build my small business and record and archive my financial transactions. Now, Brex wants to change their terms of service and close the accounts of all their small businesses. I will have to take the time and expense to re-archive all my transactions with a new platform, during my busiest season of the year. How did they inform me of this? By email.Thank goodness it didnt get lost in my spam folder, I have no idea what would have happened theyd simply closed my account without a warning. I now see the new language on their website emphasizing companies aiming for an IPOmeaning their goal is to be listed on the stock market. So they want to go after millionaires and billionaires, and just exploited their small business members to improve their stats until they were ready to ditch them. I never would have affiliated myself with a company if I knew that these were their values. Even if you qualify for their services I wouldnt trust them, they could just change direction again and axe you and all youll get is an email.Brex Response

Use Relay instead, or literally anywhere else. 0-star customer service and due to their total lack of friendliness to startups. Do not trust or use Brexthey gave me short notice they are closing my account with incomplete informationcausing over a dozen hours and approximately 100 tasks (updating credit cards and more) I now need to do on top of running my company. Do not use this s***** "bank" for your startup at all costs. Most importantly, they don't care about you, your company, or providing a good product or customer service.Brex Response

This company misleadingly advertises business credit cards and bank accounts, however nowhere do they state that they only approve accounts for "startup businesses with venture capital", which is what you'll find out only after you apply.They also collect quite a lot of private information during the application process, including all your bank account information, social security number, and even copies of your driver's license. They do NOT however honor requests to delete that information as specified in their privacy policy. Instead they just refer any requests for deletions to their "privacy [at] brex.com" email, which only instantly replies with a link to a form that automatically rejects any requests to delete your information - no matter what options you select in it.It seems like this company is collecting and possibly selling personal information, so be forewarned. If feel your application was taken without clear information as to their requirements (i.e., only approving "startup businesses with venture capital"), and they do not honor your requests to delete your private information, then file complaints with the *** and CFPB too.Brex Response

We opened an account with this company under the synopsis that they will help us with our accounting system we receive zero help customer service was extremely rude also the held on To our money this is a company that is an absolute scam for small business. We much rather deal with a real bank not with amateur kids running a company I encourage all small businesses to stay away from this cancerous business
