I was told I only needed to pay $5 for an expert, sadly didn't research enough that JustAnswer charges $40 without you knowing. I asked for a refund and they only will refund the $5 not the $40.Business Response

As I attempted to sign into my ***** ****** membership, I somehow was directed to JustAnswer.com. I, thinking it was part of ***** ******, began to ask my question and was directed to enter my debit info for a $5 charge. Instead, I was immediately charged $64 without any explanation or request for AUTHORIZATION. This company used a deceptive means to extort $64 from me. They have refused to refund my $, so I am filing this complaint to alert others who may also fall into their deceptive practice, as evidenced by my experience.Business Response

On March 31, 2025, I was charged $46 by JustAnswer despite having canceled a $1 trial subscription within the first 24 hours, as per their terms. I have attempted to log into my account multiple times using all of my email addresses, but the system consistently states that I do not have an account. This has prevented me from accessing any services or managing my subscription directly. I have reached out to JustAnswer’s customer support multiple times for assistance with this issue, but I have received no response. Additionally, their advertised "24/7 chat support" appears to be an automated bot that is unable to understand or resolve my concerns, leaving me without any meaningful assistance. I am requesting a full refund of the $46 charged to my account, as I canceled the trial within the allowed timeframe and have been unable to use their services due to the account access issues. I am frustrated by the lack of communication and support from JustAnswer and hope the BBB can assist in resolving this matter. Hello, on 3/31/25 I was trying see if I could get an answer about my pet since the vets around me are currently closed. The chat bot assistant said it would be $5 to chat with a vet, but once I seen what I was charged it’s an additional $35 dollars for a service a membership, I don’t understand why they would offer a membership when they can’t even provide me with the assistance I need in the first place. They keep telling me it will be in one moment but nothing just waiting and waiting and nobody can help me. The vet assigned to my case, who is an agent of the company, provided explicit information that diagnosed my animal with cancer because of the presence of blood in the stool. This resulted in my emotional and financial detriment and caused me to seek emergency vetinarian care and a nearly $700 emergency vet bill. After dropping off my animal for care, I inquired with the same virtual vet if this in any way could be related an infection or virus, only for the vet to then respond affirmatively that it could be an option. The response from the initial supervisor was that it violated their internal rules and from being a dog and cat owner themselves, they could understand my reasonable expression and action. The supervisor (Sam) informed me that there would be an investigation and promised to contact me in 24-48 hours on how things shook out. I expressed concern over customers similarly situated and inquired how they were vetting their vet agents. Sam stated that he would be in contact after the investigation concluded. I received an email the following morning from a different supervisor (Ivy) without any explanation of my experience, the vetting concern, or prayer for relief but rather that the $38 subscription fee would be returned to me.Business Response

The website said it would cost $5 to get a question answered, so I provided my credit card information. I was charged $5 for the question PLUS a $65 monthly membership fee. I did not see anything about a membership fee on the website.Business Response

I asked a question to just answer and o agreed to the 5 fee. I didn’t want a subscription or membership. Immediately after the call they charged me the 5 dollars and an additional 29 I did not authorize. I realized they had signed me up for a member membership and I immediately canceled within 30 mins. When I canceled it will not let me remove my card from their site: I want a refund as I was misled. I tried contacting the about this but can’t get anywhere. On 3/25/25, I posted a legal question on JustAnswer.com and was told that I could speak with a legal professional for a flat fee of $5. I posted my cc number and spoke with this person for approximately 3-5 minutes. I later decided to check my account. Low and behold, I discovered that I had not only been charged the $5 fee but an additional $55. I immediately called and spoke with a representative stating that I only authorized a $5 fee. She apologized. I stated that I want a refund of the $55. She stated that they could not refund my money but could cancel my membership and I would not be charged again. I told her that I never signed up for a membership. She again apologized and said I would not be charged again but she couldn't do a refund. Dear To Whom It May Concern, 3/24/2025 I have been trying to get into my ***** account for some time now. In that endeavor I contacted what I THOUGHT was ***** support NOT ASKTECH. support! I Paid the amount asked which was $1.00 and DID NOT get into my ***** account. I then checked my bank balance and there is a charge for $53.00 NOT the $1`.00 paid.
