I requested a distribution of my 401k from Human Interest over 3 months ago. When I contacted them they said I had not left my company but I called my former company and Human Interest did get conformation that my relationship with my former employer had indeed ended early May. At the end of June ibsaw on my Human Interest dashboard that the distribution was in progress. I called a week later and was asked to submit a distribution/ rollover request. I did that. To date I have called Human Interest God knows how many times only to be on call waiting for over an hour and then to be told to "wait on compliance testing." I mean like what da ****** hell? It is August 28; three whole freaking months. How much more testing can be done on ***** and what da ****** are you testing??? Just give people their ****** money. There are pages of complaints about Himan Interest and the BBB or someone, needs to intervene. This seems like a scheme and a ****** scam. I have NEVER experienced this in my career. Someone is always giving some lame excuses or they do not respond to any customer sevice emails for more than a month. They place you on hold after you are verified for an eternity only to come back with some lame excuse about compliance testing. These times and days are not times to mess with people money. Stop the shannigams and just give people their distributions already. We are losing valuable time that could be used to gaining much needed money for our families" future. Absolutely horrible company & terrible customer service. First time I called I was on hold over an ************ get any information from them! I requested a 401k distribution on 7/5/23 after my last shift with my employer on 7/1/23. Their website states the money will be in your account 30 days from the distribution request. I am STILL waiting on my ************ have every excuse in the book as to why I cant get it. First it was just that it takes time, second was that my previous company took a long time telling them how many hrs I worked to make sure I could get my full pay out/employer match, then it was that it was a compliance waiting ************ its that their system is showing me as an active employee & until Im terminated again they cant release it. Its been almost 2 months, give me my money! **** NEVER recommend to anyone to use Human Interest for investing.Business Response

My company initiated cancellation of this 401k plan in February. We where advised to patiently wait up to 2 months to allow human interest to close out the account on their end so that we could either transfer our funds to another account or have them redistributed back to us.On 8/2/23 I contacted human interest via phone to initiate the process of returning my funds. I was given a form to fill out and told that it would take up to 30 days to finalize. After 3 weeks I called back to verify that the form was received and is being processed. I was advised at that time that my form was blocked because the account has yet to be closed on their end. I then requested to speak with a manager as it is totally unprofessional to ask a customer to submit a form and wait a waiting period just to block the request without providing any notification of doing so. I was put on hold for 30 minutes then told a manager would reach out to me later that day. To this day no on has contacted me and I am still waiting to for an update regarding my account.Business Response

I have been trying to complete a roll over from Human Interest which started online on 6/1/23 after my employer unexpectedly laid off most employees on 1/23/23. After multiple emails and calls I was told on 7/11/23 that my check was cut and mailed. Still no check and after many more emails and phone calls I was told the check was mailed on 7/21/23 and now needed to wait 30 days before any other action would be taken. No check and no action even with multiple emails and calls including to the Customer Advocate. Multiple employees from the same company are having the same issues of not getting response or our money.The market has greatly increased since 6/1/23 and I have not been able to get the increase in the value of my account. ********************** is holding the money and keeping any growth plus not returning my 401k funds.Business Response

This complaint is about a distribution from my 401k I put in a withdrawal to get my 401k disturbed to myself after leaving my last employer. Human Interests never sent my original distribution when I would call to check k on it they would tell me to keep waiting the full 30 days till it arrives. On day 35 I called them and it turns out they never processed my distribution. So now its 50 days after requesting a distribution and Im still left empty handed. When I call them to get a split they just pass me around till I give up. No one at human interest would own this problem. No one from human interest would help me get a solution to my problem. This company is not who you should trust with your retirement saving.Business Response

I have been trying unsuccessfully to transfer my 401k funds from Human Interest to my rollover *** at New york Life. When I check the balance to transfer online, I can not see my balance at all. I have called and emailed countless times most of which do not receive a response from human interest. There is no customer service. All "tickets" submitted go unanswered, all calls go unanswered. They hold your money in a 401K account, but you cannot get anybody to answer questions or address needs.Business Response

I opened an account with ********************** (HI) early 2023. They are my previous employers 401k manager. By surprise April 29 I stopped working with that employer. I attempted to access my HI account but could not due to it being tied to an email I no longer had access. I called them multiple times early May and was forced to wait over an hour in some instances to only be unceremoniously hung up on, never speaking to a CSR. I gave up. Finally my previous employer pushed me off their 401k. HI sent over docs, didnt provide copies, and requested bank information. I sent over my retirement account bank information to HI. To this day, HI has not paid back my 401k monies. I have tried to call and got the same treatment described above. I emailed and responses have stopped.Business Response

In May 2023 I terminated my account with ********************** that held my 401K plan with my last employer. All documents and everything that was required was turned in to them to cash out the balance and forward it to me. They said it would take up to 30 days to process. That time when by hadnt heard anything from them. Call after holding on for 30 or so minutes finally spoke to someone and they told me they just needed the correct authorization amount from the employer to have the funds released. 30 more days when by made contact again said we finally received the amount to pay out that was 3 weeks ago still as of today I havent received anything from them. They said they would escalate the process but that hasnt happened either. Ive read many reviews where all of the complaints against the company is similar and starting to sound like them company is involved in a Ponzi scam a investigation need to take place to see what going on to help the pro get there money. As long as Ive been dealing with 401K providers I never seen one like this but have heard of one like this That turn out to be a scamming company. Please take a hard look at Human Interest because something is going on.Business Response

I have been trying unsuccessfully to transfer my 401k funds from Human Interest to my rollover *** at Betterment for almost three months. Several months ago I lost my job, where I had around $30k of retirement savings invested with Human Interest. I completed a distribution form and Human Interest withdrew my funds. Months have since gone by and they have still failed to deliver my funds to either myself or my financial Institution. I submitted multiple distribution forms to ensure accuracy, authorized 2-3 checks to be mailed, confirmed the mailing address on many occasions, and have been given written confirmations and timelines of actions that do not take place. I have called and emailed many times. I have no idea where my funds are and Human Interest has taken no proactive action to resolve my situation.Business Response
