      I have been unable to go online and make any money with UberEATS s for 4 days now, thanks to an issue with Checkr and my background check taking much longer than it should. I've lost income due to this and am unable to pay bills.Tell me why, water Checkr completed a background check not two months ago is another one being run? And why am in being denied access to the platform now because it is taking so long. I've had it with this company costing me money

      You only provided Uber with half the information required for a complete background check.  See also the full background check you did for grubhub this month.  It isn't COVID related court delays, causing the hold up, it's your company's negligence

      Your Motor Vehicle Report for Uber Eats was completed on 5/19, however your extended background check that was ordered by Uber Eats is still currently pending. 

      Although some reports do take longer than average to complete, we know that this can be concerning. We understand your frustration and sincerely apologize that the report has not been able to complete within the average time expectations.

      We have verified that your background check is proceeding normally. Due to court delays and closures, we are still experiencing some delays in receiving records, and unfortunately, we will not have an update on your report until these records are provided to us directly by the courts. There continue to be delays as clerks and representatives make their way through extensive backlogs and other requests.

      Please note that based on the request of the company you have applied to work with, we *** search counties where you currently live or that *** be associated with your address history, and those counties *** or *** not keep electronic records. As a ************************** there are procedures we are required to follow in order to collect information and complete background checks. As a result, we are unable to expedite our search or take additional steps to speed up the process.

      I applied to drive with Uber and various other companies. Checkr is the company they use to run background checks. Checkr completed several of my reports but reported to Uber they were on hold and incomplete. I have recordings of conversations with checkr confirming the reports complete and explaining how to retrieve them. As such i have copies of all the completed reports. Uber has yet to approve me to drive with them fully because of Checkrs negligence. I called checkr and they swear the reports are complete and ready for review and Uber has the access to see them. Today Checkr reversed all of my reports, will not answer the phone, and will not return any inquiries i put in about them. Instead like cowards they just close them as resolved when they are not. There is a hint of fraud going on with them and this is my plea in trying to bring it to light. Because if they think they can get away with treating consumers this way they are sadly mistaken.

      While engaging in work using the ****************** **** app on June 14, I was stopped in the midst of this due to a discrepancy. The before mentioned discrepancy came as a result of a faulty background report conducted by Checkr, Inc. Checkr, a company that touts itself as an AI powered efficient HCM partner is anything but. At approximately 11:16 pm CST on June 14, I was notified that my background check reported that my Motor Vehicle Report (driver's license) was invalid/expired. My driver's license expired on March 31, 2022, and I uploaded my current (valid) driver's license to Uber approximately February 12, 2022. I found it peculiar to receive background check notifications at the time mentioned earlier in this message; moreover, if a thorough MVR report was conducted, my current license would have been easily discovered. Subsequent and due to this event, my background report has been in limbo. It has been over 24 hours since I've contacted Checkr, Inc. updating them with my current license information, and there has yet to be a change made to my status. I have not received any response message from Checkr pertaining to any revisions to my background check. Although I fully understand that Uber Technologies conducts routine background checks, the result of inaccurate reporting causes hardships for driver-partners. Ultimately, I'm in a precarious position until Checkr, Inc. releases an accurate/complete MVR and background report. I also feel that an error or inefficiency of Checkr's doing should not go unchecked or continue to cause hiccups in my employment status.

      INCOMPETENCE!!!! The company FAILED to provide me with an accurate time line as to when my background check would be complete. The completion date was MAY 31st 2022, as of June 16th, 2022 it is no where near complete and several attempts to contact them have all FAILED!!! As far as I can tell this isn't even a real business, and I can't start working until they finish which doesn't seem at all likely anytime this year!!!

Please note that even though these entities are in various stages of reopening, there continue to be delays as clerks and representatives get back to work and make their way through extensive backlogs and other requests.

      I have an accepted offer of an employment, but unable to lift the background check contingencies to start. My start date is being extended and am losing thousands of dollars per week due to Checkrs delay. I do not have the ability to speak with a customer support representative nor an genuine response from their automated ticketing system.       I have been trying to apply for jobs with both Uber Eats and Grubhub. Unfortunately, the background check via Checkr has ended up suspended on both occasions, preventing me from gaining employment with either company. I have tried calling Checkr via their listed phone number, but it leads to an automated answering machine that hangs up regardless of selection made. I have emailed Checkr about the problem, but have been told that the applicant company (e.g. Uber Eats) is at fault and I must contact them. This has led to hours on the phone with Uber where their representatives are insistent that the fault lies with Checkr, therefore leaving me in an endless loop.I have had background checks run recently by other companies recently, which all came back clean and quickly. Yet after nearly a month of effort, I have been unable to either ascertain the reason for, or fix the "Suspended" status of my background checks.

      Checkr can't complete BGC due to SSN matches with number on "Master Death List." I've been driving w/ Uber 6 yrs and had no issues till last yr. I've provided docs from Social Security Admin proving SSN belongs to me but Checkr refuses to correct it. I've been trying to resolve this issue since Nov. 2021. All they do is send me same messages.

      I am a driver with ************ Both companies requested Checkr to conduct my annual background check on April 9th and 11th, 2022. As of June 13, 2022, Checkr states my background check is delayed due to backlogs at the ********************* ***** (this is the agency responsible for background checks where I reside and where Checkr has made their request) I am currently suspended from working due to Checkr's failure to retrieve my background report in a timely manner. I have contacted ********************* and they state their department has no backlog and there are no pending background checks matching my name, DOB or SS#. ********************* also states all background checks are currently taking no longer than 3 business days. I have made numerous attempts to contact Checkr via email and only get scripted replies mentioning "delays and backlogs" Phone calls to Checkr are placed on hold and then hung up. Reading Checkr's past BBB complaints, complaints on other forums and speaking with staff at ************ Checkr has an ongoing pattern of delays nationwide. I am asking for an immediate investigation and resolution as to why Checkr is failing to complete these background checks. Furthermore, having read other responses to BBB complaints from Checkr, I will not accept one of their scripted replies to have this complaint closed.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

      It should be noted that I only received cooperation from Checkr after filing a complaint with the BBB and mentioning a class action lawsuit. This matter has been resolved for me, but Checkr still needs to drastically improve their background check process and provide better customer service.

      So the company checkr got me deactivated for food delivery with Uber eats over a case that was clearly dismissed in 2016. This is the same company that cleared me to work for favor,gopuff, Amazon flex, shipt,& even Lyft let me work. How you deny someone for something that was dismissed. It don't make sense and the company needs to be investigated. Then my ** Id is not even active anymore since I have a driver license, and this is my first driver license ever and when u look at the upload from Uber it says previous license when that was a ***** id not license.

      Checkr has incorrectly provided Uber an incorrect MVR regarding my driving status. I have tried numerous times to resolve but their untimely and inaccurate responses has costed me thousands in lost revenue.
