My parents purchased a gift certificate from GiftRocket for me as a Christmas gift. GiftRocket will not let me claim the gift certificate. My parents and I have contacted their customer service several times and they are rude, not helpful, and will not honor the gift certificate. I am rejecting this response because:1. The information in this letter is NOT consistent with the customer service communications that I have received. **** from GiftRocket customer service claims "As per our terms and conditions at the time of purchase, gifts expire three years from the date of purchase if purchased before 1/1/23. Our terms and conditions have recently changed so please note that all gifts purchased after 1/1/23 will now expire 5 years from the date of purchase." The response to my BBB complaint claims "3 years after date of purchase". They changed their policies AFTER the gift certificate was purchased.
2. The policies and terms of purchase were NOT STATED at the time of purchase. My mother purchased the gift certificate as a gift for me and she WAS NOT informed of any expiration date.
3. My mother complained about our terrible experience with this business and they offered to escalate it to management, but failed to do so.

2. This purchase was protected under the ********** Gift Card Law (gift cards/certificates cannot have expiration dates)
3. All we are asking for at this point is a refund. The business has been extremely combative and uncooperative about refunding what is owed to us ($200)

I purchased a gift rocket gift certificate for my husband for a Christmas gift on December 27. I was told it would be valid at the restaurant I selected. He was given the gift card, it was not valid at the restaurant. I looked up the charge on my credit card, and realized they had charged me twice, $54.50, once on December 27 and once on December 28, both posted on December 28. I filed a dispute with my credit card, but it was deemed a valid charge and I was charged for this gift card twice. I have contacted gift rocket and they said that this was a valid charge, they do not intend to reimburse me, and I have no way of using this gift card and was charged twice for it. I have emailed them probably 15 times and they keep coming back saying that they will not reimburse me. I have given them copy of my credit card, showing both charges, copy of my credit card, saying that the charge was deemed valid and was not reversed. They will not refund my money.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:Giftrocket is denying that theyve charged my credit card twice when there are clearly two charges on my credit card. Ive sent you evidence of this. I have sent them evidence of this multiple times. Shirt.They are saying I can use their gift code to redeem it on Amazon and there is no record that there was any $50 credit that went to my Amazon account. I cannot find any evidence that I was credited $50 for one of the charges.The second charge was not followed by any type of code at all, they just charged my card $54.50, and I got no gift receipt for that as well as no acknowledgment from them that they very clearly charged my card twice.She offered to give me a $50 gift card. Apologies for the frustrating experience with GiftRocket. Because of the way GiftRocket is regulated, were unable to share specific details about why a gift is canceled. The support team at GiftRocket does not have visibility into why gifts are canceled and is separate from the team that is responsible for gift cancellation.
Canceled gifts are automatically refunded upon cancellation. The funds should be returned to your original method of payment within seven to ten business days of cancellation.

I am rejecting this response because:the way logic works is that one can read and one cannot seem to follow their own instructions, so its clear which one to me is competent and which is not. According to my policy, unless you explain how something works and how I didnt follow the instructions close enough or that its my fault. My policy also requires that when someone takes payment for such request of transfer of goods and or servicing their customers, it is expected that both parties follow through with their agreement and they have boti stated very clearly that I expected them to follow through with their terms and they havent or explained sufficient reasons that they didnt, hence they failed and are responsible for their own actions and decisions as a life and contracts

I received a $75 gift that was purchased from giftrocket which has a 12 digit gift code. The restaurant stated they do not honor any gift cards other that their own. When I got home I also realized the gift had to be redeemed on line. When entering the code on the giftrocket site I receive an error stating the code should be 9 characters and not the 12 characters on the print out.Business Response

My coworker got me a gift card for my birthday with a suggested use at a local donut shop. The local shop didnt accept GiftRocket gift cards, so i chose the deposit option for the gift card. I entered in all my bank account information and submitted so that the funds could be deposited into my account. About 3 hours later i get an email saying that the individual who gave me the gift card canceled it. I reached out to GiftRocket and they told me that their security team had "accidentally" canceled the card. So the individual who gave me the gift card was never refunded and Gift Rocket stole my banking information. I have since reached out to them multiple times with no response.Business Response
