It says that nextdoor is a social networking site that allows for us to express our opinions and post things for others to know about. I did that. I was told by nextdoor alot of my posts were removed on a public forum posting public articles bc they offended some people. I was told to edit them when I couldn't edit someone else's article, and telling me to edit my opinion on a public forum when it was respectable is a violation of free speech. ****** post articles as well on this site yet I was told I wasn't allowed or had to watch what I was posting bc it offended many when I was seeing it helping others and that they were popular. Thanking me for my posts in email. This is a violation not only of free speech but of freedom of the press. Freedom of speech exists bc someone will always be offended and the freedom allows me the right to express my opinion. When I told them I wanted all articles removed from nextdoor besides mine from here and previous they got nasty and said I'm going to say this slow. Which is condescending. I want the reviewer removed and I want a public acknowledgement or something.Business Response

The platform has banned me from it due to violating the terms. However the platform maintains my account as open and active. The platform will not allow me to log into my account to change my notifications to delete or anything it simply says this account has been deactivated which is not true because I continue to receive 20 to 30 email notifications from the platform to my connected email. I have requested they stop sending me notifications and to delete my account as I am not able to delete my account because they have locked me out of it. My profile picture my personal information is all on there and it is still available for the public to view via the platform however I'm not able to access it to adjust it delete it or make it private this is a violation of my privacy please help me take corrective action against this platform thank youBusiness Response

I created a business account for Happy Home Concierge LLC connected to my personal account - ********************* - about 2.5 months ago. About 3 weeks ago, I sent Nextdoor a message requesting feedback but received no response. I have not been able to access my business account, and it is no longer connected to my personal account. I want the account reconnect to my personal account or I would like it deleted.I have received no feedback on the ads from Nextdoor and should not have been charged for 2nd installment of $62 when I cannot even access the account and suspect it may have been hijacked and someone is using my ad money.Business Response

In June of this year, I went on Nextdoors website, to look for a someone to install a Ring Doorbell Pro. (Nextdoor website provides names of people, businesses that due handymen, etc, for the community). I see that many people on their site do not provide their real name which is against Nextdoor policy. For example, there is one woman she goes by the name of ***** which is fake name. However, for security reasons, I go by the name of ******************** However, *** complained about this but Nextdoor does not remove her and she continues to let use her fake name. So now in June I desperately was looking for recommendations to have a Ring doorbell installed. I found a company called AK Mechanical and 4 Seasons Home Improvement on ************* (Both the same company) run by two men. They both scammed me of $150.00. They refused me to return my money. They installed the doorbell improperly, wires are exposed outside the doorbell and other mistakes as well. So the bottom line is the doorbell is not working and inoperable. These two men are scammers and do not want to return my money. So now I have to find another installer. *** repeatedly informed Nextdoor of this and asked them to PLEASE reactivate my account. They are making it very difficult for me to reactivate my account so I could find someone else. However, Nextdoor lets *** C use her fake name and pick on me. I need to get back on the site to have this doorbell installed ASAP. I have already paid over $200 for the doorbelll plus $150 for Installation. Pls inform Nextdoor.com this is an emergency. I was banned by next door for correcting a random mental health patient that his made up fantasy world was not reality and stated FACTS. I was reported for being rude permanently suspended for refusing to coddle this mentally ill individual. I will not apologize for facts and I will not coddle idiocy. I will not let some delusional person make things up. It is not against the law to speak truth and I will not apologize for doing so. Hello, nextdoor has created an account on my behalf without my consent. They linked my account with my home address and my full name and somehow also acquired my email address and tied it to the account. I was never contacted by nextdoor, nor have I ever visited their website. I did not give them permission to do this nor did I give them the information they're using. I only know this account exists because of the email updates I've been receiving from them. This could be a potentially dangerous practice for certain individuals who do not wish their information to be posted everywhere without their consent, especially considering this is telling everyone where you live with your full address.Business Response

There is no account under the neighbor's email address. If they received an invitation to join and want their email address removed from future invitations, they should reach out to Nextdoor Support.

I am rejecting this response because:I already reached out to nextdoor and they did delete my account. However, this was not an invitation to join, but was an actual account created on my behalf without my permission. They had sent me emails for months with updates to invites to various events that people were sending me through their website. This means not only did they lie about it being an "invitation to join" but I was not given the option to opt out of this account creation. I had to contact their customer support which was not an easy method to figure out how to do and then they deleted the account. Even clicking the "unsubscribe" button on the emails wouldn't stop the emails nor did it reject the supposed "invitation". This is extremely unprofessional behavior on their behalf and should be against multiple different laws.

I have received 2 emails from nextdoor.com stating they knew my email address and my physical address but I NEVER consented to any of my information to be used by them or their app. I stay anonymous on the internet for the safety of my child, I was once in an abusive domestic relationship and now they will be able to find where we live again. Why? Because "someone in (your) neighborhood invited you," I didn't even know that street existed so how can they expect me to believe this person had my name, my address, and an email address my husband doesn't even know? My family is taking this as a threat and currently having to decide to either buy a gun for our protection or move as far away as we can afford. This is a serious breach of privacy and one that shouldn't be taken lightly.Business Response
