This company is horrible ! I had someone using my email and I have been trying to contact customer service to help me get this removed. They take forever to reply and don't help with the problem. How did someone manage to get my email address and use it on this site ? Secondly this is against their "guidelines" ! Beware of scam from this company !

I enjoyed nextdoor until finding out that the app supports one sided views, especially political views. Also I've been wrongly accused of violating guidelines by being disrespectful while the comments can just talk hate towards my views and opinions. The only reason I'm giving it a 2 star is because they have the mercy period where you can request a second look. But odds are I'm going to have to switch it to 1 star because I doubt it will fall through. People reported me, and the app was quick to give in.

Message to Nextdoor directly and this is the reason whyTLDR, terrible app with a terrible culture:I am having issues with my account and this platform seems to condone hostile and toxic behavior towards local small business owners. Should you truly allow small businesses to ask questions within their community and build inclusive relationships within your community, you wouldnt allow Karens and bitter judgmental people to continue to run freely on your app versus the ones that are genuinely trying to grow and build a community. You not only have a culture issue on this platform, but you have a perception issue.I found my posts to be somewhat successful but once they get traction and support, it pops up for popularity and is seen as spam to others when my content is being surfaced when people log onthis is outside my control and also, spreading misinformation about my business and brand. This also seems to be an algorithm issue on your platform that promotes a king of the hill type of mentality, where the more you eyes you get as a content contributor, the more you get criticized and scrutinized by your community. Do better Nextdoor, you are feeding toxicity and breeding entitled Karens and I have never seen such a community that allows this, and prevents content owners from moderating their own content. Your platform allows misinformation to spread and it is not right. Attached is a screenshot of your own community guidelines, in which I have adhered to. Truly a disappointing social media platform.

Very far-left liberal platform with snowflake moderators. They think you "discriminate" if you don't like illegal immigration.

The suspension process has no due process. They show you what some ** reported but they don't show the context surrounding the convo. I have only had this one 2 week suspension but I won't be back. I have financially helped so many people on there. I have hired people and left good reviews. I can find other places to do good. The whole platform is horrible

I go on Nextdoor to posted educational formun about what is happening in the world and how these things affected us and I do not want to be involved in politics(and no politics are involved) Tariffs for example, customers are to be aware of how we are paying the prices, not the foreign countries and to show how this affected our lives.Posts about education, health care, budget bills(no politics) and people reported my posts, potential for bias can contribute to a perception of toxicity and frustrating moderation experiences.because I speak the truth and people do not want to hear the truth, only what fitted their beliefs. This app need to be censored and reported and clean out because they have so much toxic subjects on there sites and never taken down.

NEXTDOOR IS THE WORST APP ON THE PLANET. They practice every ism there is. Biadism, Classism, Nepotism, Racism, and Politicalism. Just a downright overly moderated site that seems moderated by lil Hitlers and Stahlins. We all should ban together and boycott their headquarters.

Worst site to be on. Not allowed to state your opinion. They are very bossy and controlling. I deactivated my account. Then they went after my wife complaining.

I was a member of the Next-door app for a few years with no issues until today 7/9/2025. I asked a question to my neighbors and I got a decent amount of responses. Mostly good ones advertising their business's. But one comment was a little rude. So I decided to report them for being disrespectful. Almost an hour later my account was deactivated indefinitely. I received a notification that I was hiding my full name and they stated that the app is for honest comments. I was not hiding my name or details. I had simply changed it to a shortened version. I had ran an add for some handyman work a few weeks earlier and I was consistently getting ads from other companies instead of neighbors needing work. I may have been mislead into believing that the app was for neighbors seeking advice and helping other neighbors. I was bombarded by ads, companies and hateful comments instead of genuine people trying to help other neighbors. My first mistake was believing in the general public and thinking they would be helpful. My second mistake was asking for advice. My third mistake was reporting disrespectful behavior. I feel like I was treated poorly and I do not believe that the applications administrators should not go without recourse.
