      I signed up for a free service from Yelp to promote my small business. They put my card on hold but assured me there would be no charges. After realizing the service wasn't free, I requested to cancel my subscription. However, I was charged $133.56 at the end of November and now face a $566 fee despite not using the service. I want a refund and to stop any future charges from Yelp.

      We set up an account with ********************** for our business and we had nothing but problems with this company. They stated we would have numerous leads for our company which we had no leads whatsoever and they started taking random amounts of money out of my account that I was unaware of and did not authorize. We closed the account and money was still being taken out of our account unauthorized. Every time we tried talking to someone about getting the money out back into our account and we just get excuses and the run around. They just take money out of peoples accounts without authorization and with out any knowledge of how much or when money will be taken out. This company is a scam and will take you for your money!

      Concerns Regarding Yelp's Practices and Impact on My Business Reputation I am the owner of a cleaning company and am writing to express serious concerns about Yelp's practices and their impact on my business. Yelps automated system frequently flags positive reviews as "not recommended" while prominently displaying negative ones.When I discovered that Yelp charged me for fake leads, I canceled my subscription. The same day, I received a suspicious one-star review, and several five-star reviews were removed. After blocking Yelp's phone numbers due to repeated harassment, a few five-star reviews were temporarily reinstatedonly to be removed again, seemingly as retaliation for not answering their calls.I have not solicited or incentivized reviews and have always conducted business professionally. Yelps actions appear punitive and undermine my credibility, leaving me to pay for a service that damages my ************* is my formal request that Yelp remove my business profile entirely.       Small business is EXTREMELY difficult. Especially now days. As a small business owner, a level playing field is important. Playing in a rigged game can be detrimental to the business. As I learn more about how platforms work, the more I am starting to realize how many unscrupulous actions have been pushed out against my business, by the very companies that are supposed to be helping me. Not only is Yelp suppressing 5 star reviews that could be VERY helpful to my business, but they also refuse to remove reviews that I knowingly know don't belong on my page that match their own guidelines. I even offered proof of these situations and they still refused to help. This is NOT what I expected from this company and I am highly disapointed with them. Who knows what else I may or may not know about Yelp at this point.

      Approximately in April 2024 I received notice of a yelp ad stating to update my listing with them for free. I established an account, and for 1 free ad they would promote my business with so much free dollars toward advertisement but the catch was I had to add my credit card in case I wanted further ads. No where did they promote that after a trial period, my card would be charged over ****** per month for a specific period of time. I noticed on my card that an unauthorized charge was placed. I then canceled any account with them I had and refused to pay for charges that were not authorized. I am now receiving threatening letters from them. I did not authorized any charges on my account, what I read when signing up did not mention any type of contract short of a few free dollars for towards advertising and updating my business profile with yelp. I am now being harassed and threatened by yelp thru my business email.

      We are submitting this complaint to address unresolved concerns regarding our advertising experience with Yelp, particularly the "Request a Quote" (RAQ) feature and how our business was represented. While we appreciate Yelp's response and the partial refund offered, the core issues remain unresolved and reflect significant misalignment between what was promised and what was delivered.First, we were not informed that our business phone number would be hidden from potential clients. This lack of visibility created a barrier to direct communication, impacting our ability to connect with prospective customers.Second, we were led to believe that customers using RAQ were contacting us directly. In reality, inquiries were distributed to multiple businesses simultaneously, diluting the quality of leads and misrepresenting the exclusivity of customer interest.The lack of transparency regarding these practices prevented us from making informed decisions about advertising with Yelp. If we had known these details upfront, we would have approached our advertising strategy differently or chosen a platform better aligned with our needs.Additionally, Yelp inaccurately stated that we declined the partial refund. This is untrue; we simply believe we are entitled to a full refund due to the lack of clarity and misrepresentation of services.We understand that no advertising platform can guarantee results, but businesses deserve full disclosure of how their services will be marketed.       I created a Yelp business account around 2020 during the pandemic while trying to attract clients for my new health coaching business. I was misled into paying for business services that I didn't realize I had committed to. After some time, I decided I no longer wanted to use Yelp for my business and stopped using the platform, as it did not generate the client flow I anticipated.Recently, I stumbled upon my Yelp page and attempted to close my business account. However, when I emailed Yelp for assistance, I was informed that I couldn't close my account due to an outstanding balance, which was surprising to me since I had never noticed any transactions with them. I reached out for clarification but have not received a response.I've heard similar complaints from others regarding this issue. Since I no longer have the business, I want to close my account, but I'm unable to do so because of this alleged outstanding balance, which I believe I shouldn't have to pay given the circumstances. I feel I shouldn't be held responsible for any services related to my account, especially as I did not request them.       I run a small enterprise known as ILLUSIONZ MOBILE AUTO SPA, where I utilize platforms like Yelp and ****** to showcase customer reviews. My ********************** business profile has been active for over a decade, and the platform provides various services, including advertising options aimed at increasing visibility for businesses. Recently, on November 6, 2024, I was contacted by a Yelp account executive named **** ******, who attempted to persuade me to invest in advertising. I clearly communicated my disinterest, explaining that I would consider reaching out in March 2025 when my business typically sees an uptick in activity, and that I currently lack the financial resources to commit to advertising.Despite my explicit request to refrain from further contact, Yana continued to reach out, calling my business on multiple occasionsspecifically on November 6th, 8th, November 19, and November 21, 2024and sending numerous emails urging me to reconsider. This persistent communication feels aggressive and harassing, especially since I have already indicated my position. Additionally, I have documented evidence, including screenshots and saved voicemails, to support my claims. I am also concerned about Yelp's practice of review extortion, where they appear to remove positive customer reviews if I do not engage in their advertising services. I have expressed my intention to report this harassment to the Better Business Bureau (BBB), and I am wary that Yelp may retaliate by attempting to delete my business profile. I want to ensure that this situation is properly documented should they take such actions.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      I had contacted yelp  on the 21st of November 2024 requested to speak to a manager, and one of the representatives would not forward me to the manager to bring up this complaint. Therefore I was unable to reach a manager or a supervisor. This is not about a billing issue or profile issue.  It's about the fact that they have continued to harrass me with aggressive tactics trying to force me into a advertising contract when I have informed them of my disinterest.
