    A listing for a house to rent was proven to be a scam. I found another listing for the same house for rent through the actual property and they had no individual working under the name of ****** *** ******. I had given them my email and phone number and was sent an actual rental application. Once filled out this person received my social security number and drivers license.

    On approximately January 13th my home which I reside in at **** Telehurst was listed for rent through Zumper.com fraudulently. It appears on their website and Movotto.com for $1100.00 per month. I have not ever had any intent to rent my property and I believe this is being done as a scam to obtain money from hard working folks desperate to find reasonably priced accommodations in our area. I have tried contacting the person they list as *************************** at ************************ and have not been able to speak to this person to have my home removed from their website. We now have people driving by our home checking to see if it is occupied. I was contacted by a realtor we used back in 2018 when we had our house on the market asking if we were renting our home. He had been contacted by a potential renter looking at our house on Zumpers website by which he informed them our house was not for rent after contacting me.

    Found rental home on zumper. Requested showing. On 11/5/22 a ******************************** texted me and wanted to schedule. He stated he is homeowner. Sent application link via text. I filled it out and returned it. ******* wants $50 to complete application. We scheduled to meet at property tomorrow; 11/6/2022. I went back online and found property listed elsewhere through open door, this alerted me to ******* being a scammer. He now has my soc sec number and a copy of my drivers license front and back . I spoke to a rep at open door and she confirmed they NEVER rent their properties. This regards **********************************************************************************, listing #*******, ad was found on zumper. ******* texted me a copy of his ** DL. He texted me from phone number ************.

    We set up an account with Zumper. With the hope that it would be a seemless software solution to help us with managing our tenant for renting my house. It has been a nightmare. The do not have any customer service support. We got an email stating that our account needed finalizing. We have set up all that we could. They placed 2 pending charges on our tenants bank account. We have tried to contact Zumper on this issue. They will only communicate via email. And that has been basically non existent. Weve received 3 emails from them over 4 days. We or our tenant cant get our money back to even go to a different company because they wont respond or even acknowledge our persist attempts to have an open line of communication.

    fake site that scams people. they steal photos from zillow and list a low rental price. they emailed the potential renters and tell them "it's ok to just come in and look around" for a tour. people showed up to my house that is on the market for sale AND CAME INSIDE MY HOUSE WHILE I'M STILL LIVING HERE. My girlfriend was home at the time and it scared the h*** out of her. This could have caused a major legal issue.

Zumper takes scam very seriously, and we have a rigorous verification process to keep this kind of issue from occurring. Even still, some scammers can slip through the cracks. When this does happen, we work quickly to remove that offender from the site and block them from posting or messaging any renters in the future. 

    I looked up your email address in our system and noticed you have not contacted our Support team yet. Please email ********************************** at your soonest convenience so that we can take down the listing and block the scammer who posted it.

    I found a rental on zumper.com on 7/24/2022. I filled out the application and paid their application fee. Once I did that, someone contacted me about the property. They were pressuring me to pay them more money. They said the money was for half the security deposit. They said it would allow for them to get the lease together before meeting to view the property. They asked me to send it by Zelle, Cash App, or Apple Pay. I found the same property on another website for $750 more. I found a second location with the same issue as well.

    I recently took to the web site looking for assistance finding apartment.. I came across this realtor agent name *************************** who said she will assist me w/ my apt search but first you need i need to use a link that was sent to me to check my credit score. which i did . i paid twice n have my receipt. Mind you this a new card i never issue this card information to but this company link.. After a two week later i begin to receive bills from amazon that my card was being use for transaction i never made.. And the only one i gave my personal information to was this company. And the agent name is *************************** . I want to make a complaint w/ this company i believe is deceiving the public using our personal information to gain access to use to commit fruad.

    The receipts attached show that the payments were made directly through Zumper, which means the agent, ***************************, would not have access to the the user's credit card information. I reviewed the agent and did not find any evidence of fraud. 

     

    I attached our Support team's ticket with ********. When our team asked for additional information so that we could research the issue, the user let us know that they simply wanted a refund for their credit check. We processed their request and the refund was delivered. I believe this matter was resolved.
