The incident happened on 4/5/25 around 10:27PM, my vehicle a ****** Tacoma and my girlfriends vehicle a ****** Sentra were towed from a side street in Santa ***, **. We were parked next to a dispensary with no signs prohibiting parking anywhere around the dispensary building. I have video and picture evidence of said building while the rest of the street and its businesses has clear no parking displayed. There is also not enough available parking to accommodate customers. We were told our spot parking spot was ok by another security employee. We were patrons at bar with bands playing at the front of the street off E ******** and S Halladay St. I was told about my car being towed from a security guard of the bar. I believe this man was a spotter. How would he know that out of ******* people that that was my truck being towed. He went straight to me! This was predatory towing, this is entrapment. I ran outside to get to my vehicles but they had just barely drove away. All that was left was a paper with sharpie written on it as to where the two vehicles were taken. We got to Santa *** Club who are located on ****************. They would not let us in. I could see employees through the window, they could see me and they refused to service us. My two vehicles had just been towed and they had no information about my vehicles being towed. They were disrespectful towards my mother and myself. They charged me $516.88 for EACH vehicle and they did not even spend an hour in their lot. Their listing price is also way lower than their charging price. $115 dollars for a gate fee! The dispensary was not even open at that time, no signage anywhere on the business, and they must work closely with the businesses in the area doing some illegal activity. There are hundreds of reviews and many claims already through your sight against Santa *** Club, this company is scamming people left and right and they need to go out of business. My girlfriend and I were both targeted by predatory towingInitial Complaint

02/2025 I parked in the parking lot assigned to the apartment complex I have lived in since 2018. I have parked in the parking lot since the end of December with my parking permit either taped to my windshield or on the dashboard. On this night I went out to get something out of my car and it was gone. Sure enough it had been towed. I called the tow company and they told me it was towed because it was not parked in a parking stall. First I have parked in the same spot for several months and there are no parking stalls and no parking markers. Just an open parking lot. They also said that my car was being towed as we were speaking on the phone. I went immediately and got my car out. When I got into my car the parking permit was laying there on the drivers seat as it had more than likely fallen there from the dashboard to the drivers seat during it being towed. When I called them about 2 days later they told me that I needed to call the security company since they were the ones that had it towed in the first place. I called the security company and they said they would check further into why it was towed. Their resolution at this time was to tell me that the owner of the security company would get back to me on the following day and that as a courtesy they would place me on their no towing list since I had lived there for several years. This alone is an admission that they should not have towed it in the first place. Well, I never received a call back. So I called again. Same out come they said someone would get back to me but no one ever did. So I called again and I was more assertive this time. This time they told me that someone from the apartments I live in called the tow truck to have it towed because I had no parking permit present. First no one from where I lived called. I live in a senior building and everyone is fast asleep at 12 am. I am at the word limit allowed for this message so alls I know is that they took my car illegally. This is the second time.Initial Complaint

I am writing to formally complain about the towing of my vehicle on August 29, 2024, from my assigned parking space at ***********************************************************, **. My vehicle, 2012 ****** Camry SE, 8BIA173 was towed under the false claim that it did not have a parking permit. As a long-term resident of this location, I consistently adhered to all parking regulations and always parked my vehicle to my assigned parking space.I was forced to pay $507.00 to retrieve my vehicle, which I believe is an unfair charge for a situation that should not have occurred. I also notified the property manager about this unjust towing, but they showed no concern and took no action to resolve the issue.Additionally, I have significant concerns that the apartment property management and Santa ************************** may be colluding to benefit financially from the unjustly towing of residents' vehicles. This situation raises important ethical questions regarding the integrity of both parties and their treatment of tenants.I request a thorough investigation into this incident and a full refund of the towing fees, I have attached a copy of my bank transaction. Thank you for your immediate attention to this issue.Initial Complaint

On Thursday, June 6th, my car was towed by Santa *** ******************* at an apartment complex where I had been visiting a friend. The next morning, on Friday, June 7th, I went to the company's location to retrieve my car. I spoke with a female employee, whose name I do not know, and requested the documentation proving my car was parked illegally. I understand that the law requires evidence of the illegal parking and a signed request from the property owner or their representative (such as a security guard or manager) for a tow to be legal. However, the employee responded with an attitude, saying, "No, I'm not obligated to give you that. You were on private property with no permit." I explained that I understood but wanted the documentation. I then mentioned that this was against the law, to which she reiterated her refusal. During this exchange, I was on the phone with my brother. The employee began yelling at him through the phone, despite him not engaging in any conversation with her. I asked again for proof of the parking situation, but she became angrier and refused to provide anything.I then asked about the fee to retrieve my car, and she stated it was $335. I handed her $340, but when I did, she rudely said, "Give me this ****." She then told me I would have to wait an hour for my change. Later, when she went to retrieve my change, she threw it onto the counter. After presumably stepping out of camera view, she gave me the middle finger. I asked her, "Did you give me the middle finger?" She responded, "If you don't like it, I can give you two middle fingers." During this time, she was also cursing at me, but since English is my second language, I did not understand all of her words.I believe that this disrespect and harassment is because I am a visibly Muslim woman who observes hijab. I say this because there was a white man in front of me who was asking the same questions and she answered him in a calm and respectful manner in a low tone.Initial Complaint

The company continues to illegally steal people's cars and violate California laws and federal laws over and over. What they are doing is randomly towing people or predatory towing in certain parking lots and shopping centers, forging written authorization forms, forging property manager names, and violating California vehicular code *****. If the vehicle owner is present and sees the tow truck hooking up, they often take off very quickly and take side streets to escape. If the police are called, they do nothing or inform the poor vehicle owner that this is a civil matter and force them to pay hundreds of dollars illegally. Ownerer and manager, *****************, fails to instruct his tow truck drivers and employees of the laws which are required to be a legally compliant towing company in the *******************. They are also violating CALIFORNIA VEHICLE CODE ********, CALIFORNIA ********************** CODE *******, as well as CALIFORNIA PENAL CODE 518 PC, 470 PC, and 182 PC.Santa *** Club should be required to mail postcards to every person towed within the last 2 years informing them of their potential entitlement to relief for wrongful tows. They should pay $1,000 for every wrongful claim made against them, pursuant to an expedited claims process. I have been towed illegally 6 times in 2 years and am out $4,000. One of my vehicles is still in the towyard now for no reason. It was in an accident, inoperable, and on my own parking spot which I pay for. These bozos still took it anyway.Initial Complaint

I'm writing to express my concerns about my recent experience with Santa *** ***********, which occurred on 10/27. On that night, my vehicle was towed from the downtown plaza near ********** where I was a legitimate customer. Here's what happened:I arrived at the ********* on around 1:00 a.m., fully aware of the establishment's closing time at 2 a.m. As a paying customer, I decided to enjoy my meal in my friend's car. Shockingly, my vehicle was towed at 1:28 a.m., only 28 minutes later.I was parked well within the two-hour limit typically enforced in the plaza, which should have protected me from towing. Santa *** *********** did not have the legal grounds to tow my car.Upon my visit to the towing center, I was met with unprofessional and disrespectful behavior from your employees. They kept customers, including myself, behind a gate on a cold night, treating us animals. To make matters worse, when women arrived, they were attended to without waiting in line, sparking a discriminatory situation. ( As the workers and women are from one country). One employee insulted me by questioning my country of origin, when I complained about their behavior,My attempts to address the situation with your customer service were equally unsatisfactory. After calling the provided number five times, I was met with rudeness and a refusal to listen to my concerns, culminating in the call being abruptly ended.I urge your company to take immediate action to rectify the wrongful towing, address unprofessional conduct among your employees, and eliminate discriminatory practices. It's crucial to investigate these matters to prevent similar occurrences in the future.I anticipate a prompt response acknowledging the steps you'll take to resolve these issues. Failure to address this matter may lead me to involve relevant authorities or consumer protection agencies.I hope for a swift and satisfactory resolution, ensuring respectful and lawful services for all customers. Your attention to these concerns is greatly appreciated.Initial Complaint

On October 28th of 2023 at 10pm I was walking to where I had parked my car and I saw 4 tow trucks and my car was no longer there, as advised by my church I parked there as I was told as long as i did not leave my car over night it would not get towed away, I arrived at 8:20pm the church and on the paper they gave me it states the car was first seen at 8:00 pm but that couldnt of been possible because I drove from Norco to Santa *** and arrived 8:20 due to traffic and sister was parked next to me and went to pick up my nephew as returned at 9:50 and the car was still there but again on the paper it states it was taken at 9:40 the tow guy told me it would be $155 to get the vehculo back but when I arrived they charged my debit card $455 and the area where I parked had no signs indicating no parking. Damages were also made my to the vehicle when they towed it away and I had two baby kittens there the roof top of the car was completely open but they towed the car the cage moved and dropped the kittens and one of them died.Initial Complaint

I left my car parked in the visitors parking for about 2 minutes to unload my luggage to my partners car and when I came back my car was towed by this company. When it came to paying they charged me $450 dollars the same night. At the moment I had no choice but to pay because I was leaving town that same hour and had no idea that this company has had so many complaints about the over charge. For my car to have even entered their gate I was charged a gate fee of $100.Initial Complaint

My daughter who is severely autistic and disabled had to use the bathroom. We stopped at Jack in the box on Main/Santa *** Blvd. We arrived at 7:15p. My daughter took awhile in the restroom as she had an upset stomach and being autistic, it is not easy to use unfamiliar bathroom especially when your not feeling well. After she finished, we ordered food and ate from there. The time was 8:01p. We walked out to find my car gone! I realized my car got towed and I called to ask details. They claimed I was parked illegally and that **** in the box management called to report me. When I asked the workers they said no they did not complain. I had to Uber us to pick up my car and explained and showed my receipt to the man at the front desk. He refused to accept it and wouldnt let my car go unless I paid $455. I was outraged and my daughter was having a meltdown (shes 15 and its so hard to explain to her what is happening as she doesnt understand). My daughter is clearly disabled and I had period with my receipt but they refused to listen or accept it. The $455 included a $100 storage fee. My car was there for less than one hour. This is a predatory business and should be held accountable for preying on decent people who have no intentions of illegally parking or sabotaging businesses. Shame on them for their malicious actions and shame on you for not shutting them down.
