Dear BBB,Hello!I bought a 2023 Civic Sedan from Honda Serramonte on July 9, 2023. At that time, I also bought two services, FIDELITY CAREFREE and HONDA SENTINEL. However, I went to Honda Serramonte in person on February 13, 2024 to cancel the above two services. At that time, Honda staff told me that the bank would issue a statement within 30 days. Honda staff did not give me any receipt or email me. As of July 20, 2024, I have not received a total of $3,845 refund.I have consulted my loan bank Chase, but confirmed that I have not received any refund from Honda to my loan account. In view of this situation, I now ask Honda to immediately cancel the two services of FIDELITY CAREFREE and HONDA SENTINEL, and return the $3,845 refund to my loan account as soon as possible. Please handle this matter as soon as possible and give me a clear response. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.Sincerely *************************** [Contact] ********************** [Purchase information: 2023 Civic Sedan][Purchase date: July 9, 2023][Cancellation date: February 13, 2024]

Our Acura MDX is affected by a campaign for excess oil consumption due to a known engine manufacturing defect. Honda is refusing to repair the engine according to the steps outlined in the ***** TSB. In addition, the dealer service department who has maintained this vehicle from the day we purchased it new from their dealership failed to inform us that this was a widespread and known manufacturing defect even after we told them we were experiencing excess oil consumption. We have shared our experience on **************************** and the BBB and will continue to get the word out to as many people as we can about Honda's terrible manufacturing and unscrupulous business practices. Honda has made the choice to save themselves a few dollars now and lose us and everyone else we can convince to look elsewhere as customers. If you make and sell a defective product, FIX IT!!! We will NEVER stop telling as many people as we can about our experience. The picture attached is three empty quart bottles of oil we used to fill our engine between oil changes.

My complaint is regarding my 2016 Acura MDX. It has paint peeling off between the moonroof and the windshield. Acura has a service bulletin in place ******, which identifies my year, my model and even my exact color code NH 603P ( white diamond ******* Please see the pictures shown in bulletin ****** and you will see my identical problem. Here is the problem. Acura says it is VIN specific and my VIN is ineligible! I say BS!- If you ****** "2016 Acura MDX" you will see how common this problem is. Acura HQ wont return my calls. I am requesting that Acura offer a FULL RECALL not just based on VINS. If this is a problem with all 2016 MDX color codes of 603P, why should it based on a VIN? It should be apply to ALL of these vehicles. Can you at least make Acura contact me at ************ and try to help me? This is a common and well known problem based on the fact a service bulletin is in place. It should be based on a VIN. Thank you. I have just now reached out to a local TV station and asked for consumer assistance.

Full transmission replacement reimbursement of a 2016 Pilot EX-L, with ****** miles on it.On the morning of Friday, March 22nd, I was driving when my car started bucking while driving almost as if it was getting stuck in a gear and really taking some effort to switch, as well as it was slow to accelerate. I called my preferred mechanic and told them of the problem and that I would be bringing my car over to be looked at. However, before I could get the car to my mechanic, the cars pick up deteriorated, I couldnt accelerate and there was a very evident smell. A warring message of Transmission Fluid Hot appeared on my screen. At that point, I felt that it was unsafe to continue to drive the car. I pulled over to a parking lot, called my mechanic and then had my car towed to his shop.Initialy there was a eplacement of the Solenoid Pack, transmission fluid flush, and oil change. These repairs did not fix the issue, leading to the determination that the Transmission Control Module caused the transmission damage.I did call Parkay Honda 3 times ( and still wating from them to callback!). As a busy mom, I had the repairs done elsewhere. I spent $8,702.36 to have a full transmission replacement. I did file a claim with ***** on April 22nd 2024 (claim # ********) and I have haven't heard anything back from them.

My 2022 Honda ridgeline, under warranty, AC compressor leaks, no AC for almost two months and we are over 100 degree now. Honda says they do not have the compressor, but they have vehicles sitting in the lot can not be sold due to an active recall. They would not take a compressor out of these vehicles and give it to me. The case manager stopped responding to my messages. I have bought 5 brand new Honda vehicles in the last 20 years. This is how they treat one of their best and loyal customers.

OnMay 8th, 2024, I visited the ******** Honda dealership at ****************************************************** with a complaint of a power steering fluid leak coming from the passenger front underside of my 2003 Honda Accord (VIN *****************). The service advisor recommended a replacement of the (1) Rack and Pinion, (2) power steering return line, and (3) an alignment. I agreed to these repairs and returned on May 16th.OnMay 16th, 2024, I dropped off my vehicle for the repairs. However, later that day, the service advisor contacted me, stating that the repair will be delayed to the next day. On May 17th, 2024, I received a call that the vehicle was ready for pickup. (See attached invoice). After one month, I began noticing that there was dripping below my vehicle, this time, on the driver front underside. I took my vehicle to Canadian Tire Auto Service ******************************************************************************************** onJune 14th, 2024where they diagnosed the issue as being a leak of power steering fluid from the newly installed power steering rack and pinion. (See attached invoice)When I contacted ******** Honda in ******, ** by phone with this concern, they responded that I must bring my vehicle to their dealership for them to diagnose and repair the issue. Unfortunately, I have since moved from ******, ** to *****, **, making this trip to their dealership and the associated delay in repair impossible for me. They have stated that this would be the only way I can have this issue remedied.I would like to emphasize that I chose to have this repair done at a Honda dealership specifically because of the assurances that visiting a dealer would give me. I also made the assumption that the labor would be sound and that no other issues would arise. I am unable to ignore the issue due to the fact that the loss of power steering fluid while driving will lead to a loss of steering control and damage to my power steering equipment.

Honda has an extended warranty on ac condensers that are faulty due to manufacture defects which include my 2020 Honda civic . My car ac stopped working completely! How is this possible on car thats only 4 years old. Took it to Honda service in Frisco tx.. they clearly fixed a valve/shaft seal that was covered. However , they claim the ac condenser is damaged and leaking but not covered by the extended warranty. How can that be? How can my ac not work and we know the condenser is bad but Honda is trying to say its damage and not covered.. how can they tell its damaged when clearly this particular part is was DEFECTIVE to begin with! Honda was really shady in not putting this as a recall but as an extended warranty , guess it saves them money . However this is a defective and needs to be replaced at Hondas expense. Ive leased at minimum 4 hondas and an Acura.. how can they do this to a loyal customer! Shameful Ive lost trust in Honda. Honda needs to repair this defect.
