      The company told me they would help resolve a tax issue. They took $ ******* in divided payments and did nothing. They reached out to me initially . They sent dozens of questionnairesfor me to complete . One can not reach anyone in the company. They never send anything in the mail. They are frauds. I could have used this money to resolve my own issue . They are a despicable company that preys on peoples bad luck . They should be stopped from hurting more people. I take care of a very ill brother that has cancer and had a pulmonary embolus and then a stroke. In my professional life I have always tried to help patients. They should be stopped from practicing .

      I was lured into a predatory scam where I was asked to spend more and more money with no actual accounting work ever being performed. Federal Tax Law Group was running an advertisement on ******** in March of this year offering tax relief under the **** Fresh Start Initiative Forgiveness Program". I clicked on the ad, and input information regarding what I owed. The company contacted me via ******** Messenger and stated that they could reduce my tax obligation to $3,000 if I could pay it immediately. I was communicating with someone named *****, who told me that I was "a great candidate for the *** Fresh Strategy Session". He said he would be calling me via this number: **************. I rejoined the conversation in July, at which point I began speaking with an agent named ***** at the company. She asked a series of pointed questions about my finances, consulted with her team, and said that I was a good candidate for the program. At that point, she asked me to pay $650.00 to start the process of initiating my tax relief. Two weeks later, I received another call from the agent stating the company would need $7200 upfront to start the process of reducing my tax obligation. They were unable to provide any evidence of work they had done on my behalf, they misstated how much I owed for taxes (they were off by $4,000), and they had no information about specific relief programs that I qualified for. When I started questioning the agent about this process, I was immediately transferred back to the intake agent. This company is clearly not a reputable tax law organization and was simply trying to get as much money from me as possible without performing any services.

      I contacted this company to assist with past tax filings and debt obligations and to help resolve these issues. I paid a deposit of $325 on a credit card then research this company which I shouldve done before hand to discover there were other complaints about how this company conducts their business. At that time, I decided to cancel the contract that was within the three day time limit and requested a refund or partial refund of that payment to this day. I have been unable to contact them and they have not returned any portion of my money or returned any of my calls and emails. Federal Tax Law Group appears to be a SCAM. If this was a reputable company, they would have made some attempt to contact me and or or return whatever portion of my initial payment was to me.

      I am a deeply dissatisfied customer of **********************, requesting a full refund of $5,000 for inadequately delivered services.A recent Yahoo Finance article quoted Founder/CEO *********************, stating the company aims to "take the stress out of tax compliance" and "help clients obtain a resolution quickly." My experience was the opposite. I hired them to handle my Oregon State taxes, expecting prompt and accurate service.Instead, it took six months to receive a draft from them, which was incorrect and incomplete. The same article quotes him saying, "Our clients come to us at very difficult times in their lives, when it can feel like no one is in their corner."Regrettably, they made my situation extremely difficult. Despite knowing the ***************** of ******* was pressuring me and I needed urgent assistance, your team failed to prioritize my case as promised.Key points of my complaint:-Despite being promised priority treatment, I received no substantial help. My state forms were completed only after I requested a refund and contacted the Better Business Bureau.-The forms sent by *****, my assigned tax preparer, were incorrect. The math was wrong, the business ID number was incorrect, and crucial numbers were missing.-During the six months of delays, the ********** of ******* levied $8,425.71 from my account and fined me an additional $700, causing significant financial strain.-Your team ignored my emails, texts, and phone calls. I only spoke with ********, my case worker, who could never provide substantial updates or let me speak directly with *****. My voicemails to ***** and manager ****** were never returned.The continued lack of communication and repeated failures to deliver on promises have caused me undue stress and financial loss.Process my refund and consider reimbursing the fines levied by the ************ of ******* due to your teams inaction. I signed Form 2884 ***** of ******** and Declaration of Representative. 05/01 I called and the receptionist took down my information and said, "I will give this message to your representative." No one called me and its been three business . I decided to call the *** and asked if there was a PAO on file for me SSN. *** replied, "No Sir." *** took a look at my file and asked if I would like to file an installment agreement. I did and entered into an installment agreement. I called and requested refund of $650.00. I would Like to warn All UNITED STATES VETERANS steer clear of this company.

A $650 payment was agreed.1/18/24 Credit Card charged for $200, thus initiating Contract for Services.2/15/24 at 1:57pm, I received the following email notification:a 3% fee will be added to all credit card transactions, and a 1% fee will be applied to payments made via ACH (Automated Clearing House). However, we are pleased to inform you that there will be no fee for transactions completed using debit cards. 2/15/24 at 2:27pm Replied as follows:I am not authoring a change to our existing payment contract.********************* ****** received same message. All future text messages ignored.2/20/24 Credit Card charged for $231.75, with an unauthorized 3% transaction fee. 3/7/24 Text ****** regarding added 3% fee. Final payment scheduled for mid March did not process.2/27/24, Received ongoing weekly advertising in my email. Received no notification of account closure, only advertising 5/24/24 Contacted Billing regarding my account, and told it was closed. The person I spoke to initially could not find my account. He contacted ****** for a $225 balance due. Requested the unauthorized fee be credited, with no additional fee for final payment. Told no and contact ******. No offer to return collected funds. Requested account closure emails be resent, emails have not been delivered. No account statements received.       I am rejecting this response because:

      Business unfairly cancelled contract without notification, and has offered to refund $425, but not the 3% Credit Card Fee, thus making the refund incomplete. In addition, the business requires that all negative comments be removed or negated. I am not in control of what the BBB chooses to do with complaints and resolutions, therefore I can only advise that BBB follow their processes and procedures regarding this complaint. I have not posted the situation on any ************* and will refrain from doing so while negotiations continue. It is not the minimal amount that was taken without consent, but the principal of the matter. We agreed to a contract, and the business added an unauthorized additional fee to pad their profits.

      These are the email Subject lines Federal Tax Law Group has sent for all email since closing my account in February. Please note all Communications are advertising for their services, with exception to their requested Settlement, and not a single one addresses closing the account, requesting a final payment or communication regarding resolution. This means that Federal Tax Law Group is and has not been honest to the BBB regarding their efforts to communicate and resolve this issue directly. I will be happy to forward all of their propaganda at your request for your review. If there is no resolution, I will have no choice but to utilize any and all means necessary to persuade the Federal Tax Law Group to return all funds taken. I will also engage in legal proceedings at their expense where Legal representation is not allowed. All I am requesting is the additional 3% credit card fee charged on the second payment without authorization, but it appears that $6.31 is too big an expense for  Federal Tax Law Group to bear.

      I am writing as I hired Federal Tax Law in 2021 and ******* expressed that his company could assist with the tax debt, we incurred for years 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2023. He stated they would help, and he sent me forms to sign. Then someone called and presented more information to me and gave me prices based on what result I would receive from the **** I paid them $5000 and here we are in 2024 and nothing has been done. A year in a half after signing the documents I received an email to finally upload financial documents. Nothing else happened after that except for I changed case managers at least 3 times. In 2023, ************** and I finally talked about my case, and she was rude and condescending on the only 3 occasions we spoke. I began to receive threatening letters from the *** in February 2024 and so I sent them for the 2nd time to ************ and her case coordinator ***** wrote me asking that I complete another POA as soon as possible. When I called the ***, they stated they had not heard from the Federal Tax Law group since august/September of 2023. They did absolutely nothing on my case since having it in 2021 now I am in an absolute rush to get something done before we are to go in financial ruins. I had to hire another company to help us and pay double the amount. I want my money refunded and an apology for taking advantage of peoples demise. Just sickening that a company can portray they are able and willing to assist you to only know they have no good intentions. Recently, I still owe one last payment and the billing department is sending threatening emails that they will suspend my account if I do not pay that small amount. Well, I feel the same way about Federal Tas Law Group when I am requesting them to refund my total amount. I hope you do the right thing so I will not have to resort to legal action to get money back where you all did not provide any services or products that we paid for.

      While there were initial delays in receiving documentation from you last year, your assigned tax attorney promptly discussed next steps after receiving those items in late November. Our team then prioritized finalizing your 2023 tax filing, a prerequisite for resolving your case, with your attorney's most recent *** call occurring on February 27th. However, your payments to our firm ceased around that time, resulting in a severely overdue balance that has hindered our ability to bring this matter to full resolution.
      We kindly request you get current on your account balance as soon as possible. Resolving the outstanding balance is crucial for us to effectively negotiate the best possible resolution with the *** on your behalf. Once the balance is addressed, we can refocus entirely on finalizing this case.

      I am rejecting this response because: After paying 23/24 payments my last payment of ****** which is now $137.50 is due. You are not going to place your shortcomings on one last payment when you all received 23 full payments with none being late. I want you to handle your responsibility and your side of the contract which you failed to do in a timely manner which placed us in collections with the **** Had your company for 3 year who had this case done what you were supposed we would not be having this discussion, and I would not have had to make this complaint. 

      I have since hired another company as so many of us have had to do working with your company to get assistance. They have been able to work a solution in a short amount of time (since February 2024) and you all still have my case for 3 years with NO care taken to help the client, just our money. Although, I have had to hire and pay double for a new company for their assistance it has been a much better experience. I would suggest number 1, you provide a refund of my $5000.00 - $137.50, and apologize for dragging your feet when you had all that was needed before the 2023 tax returns were due. Hence, making changes within your organization to not take one's money and do NOTHING. I have read so many reviews and the stories are so very similar, you all did nothing for years, but took my husband and my money with NO results - NONE. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY, DO NOT PUT THE ***** ON THE CLIENT. Bad business to do such a thing when we have explained our concerns.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      I have never missed a missed a payment. The first year and half out of the 48 payments they were on time. Not until the first of 2024 did they stretch two weeks out. This last ****** that was due in February is the longest you all have not received a payment - well you've received partial. 

      I understand the payment you all continue to harp on but talk details on the negotiations you've done - nothing. I have had one conversation with ***** about them looking at a $900 plus payment, but you all had my account since 2/2021 with nothing, nothing but interest gaining on our end. 

      You all did not do anything of value to assist me on my case. In 3 years, I have talked with one tax attorney. What has happened aside from me speaking with her possibly 3 times. This is unacceptable and you all know it. I will not stop until I am compensated back our $5000 that you all were paid, and only small tasks and very few tasks were done in these 3 years. 

      I am not going to go back and forth with you all talking about payments when you received 47 out of 48 on time or not later than 2 weeks past the due date. The longest delinquent payment has been this last payment from February 2024, and you have received a portion of that. So, now we have established that and at no time would that hinder you all for 3 years from doing work on our case. If you are taking that into account, then once you receive the payment that was on the 25th of the month why wasn't anything done at that time until the next payment was due. Then when that was paid why didn't you all continue to work on the case if I was delayed in paying but you receive the payment the work on the case should have continued because no payment not one was pay 30 days aside from this remaining payment. 

      Your company failed in assisting us, you have nothing to show that you did any negotiating on our behalf in the 3 years except for the initial call to send over the *** and the contact in 8/2023. It is not supposed to take that long, and nothing was relayed to us about anything or statuses because you all did not have anything to report because nothing was done. I received one update and that is when ***** first called me and gave a $900 plus possible payment a month. NOTHING ELSE, NOTHING!

      These are the facts and I have a folder with all correspondence from Federal Tax Group - all correspondence and it was not much at all.

      Please stop blaming and pointing fingers and harping over the 48th payment that you all have not received (partial) and provide valid negotiating tasks that were performed. In February 2024 when I received the certified letter, and I contacted ***** and ***** that is when I called the *** and they provided that history of hearing from Federal Tax Group. We are out of $4812.50 and still where we started but now with no resolution, extreme interest added, and stress added to us.

      I am rejecting this response because: I have been given a different person since my case has been open back in April 2023. I signed POA back in the beginning.  They have showed me nothing since this whole case was started. I have reached out to ******************* to have him contact me and have yet to hear from them. I told them under no circumstances are they to take any more payments off my credit cards and they continued to do so. I'm not happy with the way my case has been handled. Which is nothing. The only thing I received from them is wanting another payment! I want to handle my own taxes myself and I am requesting a refund of my money.

      I am rejecting this response because: I have told them multiple times that all my records were destroyed from my ex. How can I provide anything when I have no access to it. And furthermore I signed all that was needed at the beginning.  This whole matter is going back and forth sounding like a broken record. Just refund my money and I will handle this all myself!!

      I am rejecting this response because:
      Once again I'm very dissatisfied with the services that was taken. Which was just monthly charges. I've asked in every response to refund my money!! Nothing has been done in a year!!! You can request information and once again I've told you all my records have been burned by my ex. She even burned my brother's cross on New Years Eve!! I was told in the beginning from **** that I didn't have those records and he told me not to worry about it. But yet you keep requesting it. Again I want a refund so this case can be closed.
