I was taking for $900. They sent out a sales guy. He got me to sign something I shouldn't have and they never replaced any parts or fixed the problem.Review from Mychael S

If you want to get price gouged, this is the place to go. I had to pay a service call fee to have a technician come to our house and quote us for installing a reverse osmosis system we had and to fix a leaky toilet. After paying the fee, the technician who came to our house was not interested in helping us with the issues we had paid the fee for. He quoted us an astronomical price for the ** system ($2000 for the install) and $400 to replace the ball in the toilet tank. HOWEVER...if we wanted to buy one of his whole house ** systems for $8000, he would replace the ball in the toilet, and three stop valves under our sink for free. The whole "service" call was not about service. In fact, it appeared his only goal was to upsell us on their ** system!After he left, I replaced the valves (which he wanted to charge $750 for), for $30 in parts and 45 min of my time. I also was able to install the ** system in about 2 hrs. The price they wanted to charge for the amount of work was ludicrous. If the technicians sole focus was on upselling us to one of their systems, I don't want to be paying a $49 service fee for them to try and sell me.Very disappointed, and certainly won't be recommending them to anyone!

Mychael,We offer world class 5-star service and employee the top techs in the state to insure we live up to our name as A Better Plumber. There are alot of cost on the back end such as insurance, gas, workers comp, office staff, uniforms and the list goes on and on. Unfortunately, in the last couple of years cost have gone up for us all and I am sure everyone feels the pain. We do our best to minimize cost and pass the savings on to our customers while still delivering world-class service our customers' demand. I personally price shop us monthly and find we our 10- 20 percent lower than a lot of companies in town. There are alot of cost on the back end such as insurance, gas, workers comp, office staff, uniforms and the list goes on and on. I contacted "A Better Plumber (Formerly A Better Sewer Inspection)" recently and they provided my with text reminders which facilitated and solidified when they would be coming out to check my sewer 3 inch-4 inch drain from inside my home all the way to where the city 10 inch sewer junction was. This was approximately 95 feet from watching the video sewer inspection. ******************* (******* but goes by KC) arrived on time (perhaps even early) and rang my door ****, introduced himself and was careful of his surroundings within my home. KC, from the time he arrived to the time he left, was courteous, conscientious, knowledgeable, friendly and willing to do whatever it took to understand what the issues were and how to correct them. This young man was detailed in his dissemination of information with regard to the concerns he found whilst scoping my drain from the home to the street explaining each aspect and each finding as he conducted his manual scoping. He not only did not rush the work (he did work efficaciously the entire duration of his visit), he truly enjoyed the work he was providing me the customer with. KC even made some friendly small talk while he was scoping and explaining some of the blockage flow issues with my sewer drain 3-4 inch pipe which kept me at ease and made me feel relaxed during this process. KC contacted the office numerous times to communicate and schedule follow up Hydro Jetting in a few days and was able to get me scheduled in quickly without hassle. My only criticism is that your company could not locate a machine with cloning/replicating capabilities to fabricate more ******************* employees as he was simply the best employee a company can employ with superior work ethic, genuineness, friendliness, sensitive to the customer needs, and present in the moment (he was focused on the work!). Most importantly when I was explaining and going on and on about the issues I was having with pluming, toileting not working right, KC actively LISTENED!Review from Patricia O

They sent technicians that had no clue how to handle an electric hot water heater when they said they specialized in these heaters. They way over charged to replace it; ***** hundred dollars. Never use this company for any work you need done. It's just not worth cost.Review from Taylor P

Great service , Professional and on time! I have had A Better Plumber come out and do several jobs for me and would highly recommend them if you want a good licensed **************** to do the work and warranty the work. I had A Better Plumber come over and fix my sewer line that another company price gouged me on! They did it quickly and fairly way under quoted from the other company! I have worked with this company twice, once for an inspection prior to purchasing my home- and then again when I appeared to have water pressure challenges.Their team was professional, helpful, and exceeded my expectations. No hard selling, or pushing products I didn't need. Instead they spent time to educate me on my plumbing and sewer systems. Our water heater had a leak in the top part of the external plumbing. We called *************************** got out to our home right away . They fixed the problem quickly & cost effectively. ************
