I signed up and paid for a real estate broker course. I obtained a head injury and was hospitalized resulting in me not being able to finish the course on time. I contacted the company and they refused to extend the time so I could finish my course or give me a refund.Business response

The CE Shop is committed to providing students with an engaging and productive education experience within the boundaries of state regulations. The ************************************* requires that this course be completed within 6 months of purchase.
We understand and empathize with our students that situations in life can happen and come up unexpectedly. This is why we provide students the option to re enroll and start the course over and offer a generous 50% discount off the new course as long as it is ordered within 30 days of the original course expiring.
In order to qualify for a refund the request must be made within 30 days of purchase. This is disclosed at time of purchase under our terms and conditions.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:I had reached out to the business in regards to my course and they only offered 10% off a new course. I had reached out the following week it had expired. My head injury had taken months to recover from. I am aware it was a 6 month time frame however again, it was a major head injury and I was unable to finish. If it was not finished due to putting time of deliberately, I wouldnt complain but I had been hospitalized.

The course was ordered on 1/3/2021 and the ************************************* requires that this course be completed within 6 months of purchase.
There was no contact with our company until 10/7/2021.The course expired 7/2/2021. If the course was re-ordered by 8/2/2021 it is automatically discounted to the 50% off rate which is listed in our terms for all students to take advantage of.

The CE Shop has not been helpful in resolving my issue. I am unable to complete an exam due to IT issues on their end and the 3rd party company they use PSI. I've had multiple IT issues that have caused me to waste nearly a month. I've given them ample opportunity to get it right and I continue to have the same issue. They are not helpful at all, I requested a call from a supervisor and have yet to receive one. I've asked them to please escalate the issue since they have caused me to waste a lot time and that has not happened either.Business response

I had purchased a 14 Hours CE from my ***** of ******** from them, today I singed in to start my CE to renew my license and there is a button that says that I need to repurchase them. I had contacted the customer support and they are refusing to re activate my course or even refund the money for it, this is not right for them to be stealing money like this without a resolution at all, I never accessed my course until now and it should not be expired if I didn't need to use it before. The person in the chat said the supervisor will say the same thing to me when i requested to talk to one to see if my purchase could be reactivated. This is affecting my availability to complete my CE, this can cause me to lose thousands of dollars and affect my career significantly!! I dont need a 25% discount for my CE I need to complete the course as I purchased it before.Business response

The CE Shop, Inc. is committed to providing students with a satisfactory experience while maintaining the boundaries outlined within the terms and conditions. When enrolling, your course was available for a year from the date of purchase. This is indicated prior to signing up, in our terms and conditions, and in the account to the right of the course name at all times. The courses were ordered 4/20/20 and expired 4/20/21. Please check out the terms agreed upon order below. If you wish to reorder the ******* CE package with the 25% discount offered, the cost of the package would be $14.25.
CONTINUING EDUCATION AND POST-LICENSING EDUCATION
Except as modified for **************, ********, Washington, D.C., and **** as provided below, ******************** and Post-Licensing course(s) must be completed within 12 months from the time of purchase.
