The nearest hospital to me is now under Hartford Heath Care. I let my family know if I ever need emergency care that I am to go to any other hospital. On thee occasions I was denied service after scheduling appointments and "thrown out" of the office in frornt of other patients. I was accused of not being honest about an injury. I spoke to a patient advocate who harshly told me I was not treated any differently from other patients. This experience was kicked off when my back was re-injured at work. Dr R. with Hartford who was my primary care admitted i was injured but told me to not file my on the job injury. I did not understand why. I did not expect a backlash for doing so. Untimely I consider myself kind of blacklisted with Hartford health Care as any of their staff will routinely deny me medical service and will turn me away from their offices. On the other hand Yale has been a great experience - i am treated like a human being, not shouted at or accused of any imaginary wrong doing. Lesson 1 NEVER hurt your back at work - no job is worth it Lesson 2 Stay away from Hartford Heath Care

Terrible. On multiple occasions HHC has billed me for the discount applied after my insurance. This has been for several thousands of dollars after surgery and other appointments.

Never - not with the telephone or cable TV company nor with the major airlines - have I had a worse experience simply trying to speak to a real person (anyone) to find out the status of tests. You simply cannot reach people in their ********** ******* if you take the voicemail message to leave your number for a callback, you get a recording saying that the mailbox cannot take messages and to enter another mailbox number (???). If you wait for 30 minutes or more (as I have done eight times this week), you suddenly starting getting a "robo-survey" asking about "your experience today" and whether you received satisfactory attention (hard to answer when you've receive NO attention). I would say it's embarrassing, except that it's so much worse than embarrassing when your or your loved one's health is on the line. They should not be in business that requires communicating with their patients. They should not be in business. PERIOD.

I went to see my doctor, Dr, Fishers 2 weeks ago and I had lost 16 pounds, in 7 months. His immediate reaction was cancer. I didn’t think the same. He made me get blood work done that day, I got a call back from the nurse a few days later and said it all looks good you are just a little dehydrated. He also requested I do a X-ray . I then had pits in my stomach for a week I was sick I was convinced by a week and a half I had cancer. I went in to for the X-ray and everything was just fine. I then asked for a call back from my doctor himself. I have gotten a call back the past 2 night from a. No caller Id. I have called the office and asked for a call back from a legit number so I will answer it. I Believe what I went through was for no reason. All because he told me I might have cancer from losing 16 pounds in 7 months with no other symptoms. It’s sad what’s out there.
