On August 9th 2024 I was in a motor vehicle accident where a tree fell on my car while I was driving. Travelers insurance insures the property that owns the tree. They sent a letter stating that through their investigation they found me at fault. I attempted to call the representative listed on the letter but he was out of office and did not return my call. I have sent three emails to the same person asking for Policy wording that supports their decision and have not received a response to any of those emails.

I am owed a refund of 3324.00 for over payment (9/4 and 9/9) for my homeowner's policy. I was told by my agent that the refund would be automatic in 7 to 10 days. That time frame has passed. I called the Travelers directly today 9/23 and was told that because of the size of the refund ($3324) my refund will be held an additional 10 days because Travelers was concerned I might dispute the charge with my bank. I have not disputed the charge with the bank because I was told 7 to 10 days by my agent. My direct call to Travelers contact center was met with the worst type of attitude you could encounter. Absolutely no concern for me the customer. Only concern for collecting their premium and enforcing their hidden policy.

I am requesting that an executive from the corporate office at Travelers Insurance contact me as soon as possible. To provide a little background of my issue, I approached my Insurance Agent about my auto insurance policy for the 2024-2025 policy period increasing. She did further research and advised there was a general rate increase in ******* AND I lost several key discounts due to driving infractions found on my driving record. I was completely baffled!!! I have never been in an auto accident or recieved a ticket since I acquired my driver's license. I took immediate action and contacted ***** ***** who discovered these infractions did NOT belong to me and they were removed from my record thru a formal disputes process. My Agent subsequently, contacted Travelers to remove any surcharges and re-apply my driving discounts back to the 2022 policy inception. My Agent had been going back in forth with Travelers to ensure I am getting the correct premium credits. On 8/9/24, my Agent called and spoke with one of your reps named John who advised that my premium credits would cover the balance thru the 2/9/25 renewal AND I would receive a $11.65 refund due to the slight overage. My Agent proactively contacted me weeks later on 9/5 to confirm if I ever received my refund and I had not receive it as promised. My Agent revealed that my credits only covered me thru 10/2024 which contradicts what she was told on 8/9. This is UNACCEPTABLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I want that call pulled from 8/9, I am requesting that my premium credits be re-evaluated, and to ensure all of my good driving/ entitled discounts are re-applied back to the 2022 policy inception. I also want a personal call from the corporate office.

I have an old roof and I thought there was hail damage. They sent a rep out here and they checked and confirmed damage on my downspouts. She marked the places on my roof where there was damage, granular ones at that. I was getting the run around from her. I called a different company (John Beal) to check it out and found more hail damage they missed the first time. They gave me an estimate for what it would cost to repair. I then get a letter from travelers stating they wont be replacing my roof due to their research saying that there was damage caused by hail, but the shingles only had wear and tear, according to them. This, as well as my 1500 dollar deductible. They state while they did find hail damage, they state none of us was on the shingles. What's worth mentioning is that I have water spots on my ceiling and the person from travelers even saw these herself.

On 8/21/24 I contacted Travelers Home Owners insurance because I found out that it was not canceled when I started a policy with another company on 1/4/24. I was told to send in proof of new insurance. I did that on 8/21/24. They cancelled the policy as of 8/23/24 and I received a refund of $390.00 9/3. At least twice a week since 8/21 , I called to see if the back date cancellation refund had been processed, but I kept being told it can take up to 3-5 business days to process. And was asked if I sent in proof. Obviously they received proof if they cancelled the policy on 8/23. I received a refund for $390.00. But I should be receiving more back dated from 1/4/24. Fast forward to 9/16/24. I spoke with a representative and she could not find where my proof of insurance had been received but only that I called about it. She asked me to send the email again but this time she would wait for it. After multiple attempts she did not receive it. She had me to send it directly to her, and then finally she received it. I called 9/16/24 to check the status, I really did not get a clear answer but I did get a guesstimate about what my refund might be. I am getting the run around from this company. I am owed an additional (per the rep) a guesstimate of $1880.00 and they are holding it back.

I was served with a lawsuit wherein Travelers would be defending me on 8/21/24. I notified my claims professional within minutes via email and phone call. Travelers had 20 days to respond to the court. I sent an email 8/30 checking the status and was told I’d be contacted once the legal team has combed through everything. I sent another email on 9/9 concerned that 9/10 was the 20th day. I got no reply. On 9/14 I received certified mail dated 9/12 that no response was received by the court. This means there is a ten day window in which Travelers can respond on my behalf. Otherwise, it’s a default judgment against me. I called and emailed 9/14 then multiple times 9/16 along with contacting the direct supervisor via phone. I left voicemails assuming I’d get an immediate response since this was an urgent issue but I’ve heard nothing.

On Sept. 12, I turned off auto pay on my Travelers insurance account, or at least tried to. On Sept. 13, I found that auto pay was turned back on in the account, not by me. I then turned it off again. I started a chat with a company representative at this time, who confirmed that they could see I attempted to deactivate auto pay twice in the last two days. They also told me auto pay funds were pulled from my account on Sept. 12, even though auto pay was set to bill on Sept. 16. I was billed earlier than I should have been, and when I tried to stop that from happening, Travelers wouldn’t allow me to turn off auto pay. The company needs to honor the requests of its customers instead of secretly billing people before they say they will.

Travelers continues to make an adjustment to my vehicle for prior damages and then does an additional one for condition on their appraisal. They cannot double dip for their own benefit

Travelers acknowledged liability for the accident and covered necessary repairs to my *****. Despite some initial complications with the rental process, adjustments were made to provide a ***** rental, which I appreciate. 2. **Bodily Injury**: Following the accident, I underwent medical treatment for neck and back injuries, submitted my medical bills, and received a $5,000 settlement for the injuries, lost wages, and pain. This part of the claim has been satisfactorily resolved. 3. **Battery Issues**: A significant concern remains regarding my *****'s reduced battery charging capacity after the accident. I provided Travelers with charging logs and *****'s diagnostics, which clearly show a decline in performance following the collision. ***** has indicated that the issue could be related to physical or thermal damage caused by the accident. Despite this evidence, your appraiser has refused to acknowledge any connection between the accident and the battery issue. *****’s Battery Management System (BMS) may have detected damage post-accident, triggering a limitation on battery performance as a safety measure. The evidence provided points to a direct link between the accident and the battery issue, yet Travelers has continued to deny this claim. 4. **Unresolved Dispute**: I have submitted all relevant documentation to substantiate my claim, including communication from ***** mechanics, charging history, and diagnostic reports. Travelers’ refusal to address this issue without a valid explanation is both unreasonable and frustrating.
