      Ferris had installed a new wooden deck at my house On November 2023. after 4 months I discovered the wood in splitting and a lot of the deck material is low quality. when I complained and asked for a team to come and fix the issues I was told there is no warranty on the material ?!! This was not mention in any form by the sales person when he came over to offer the options for a new deck. if had mentioned that I would have chosen other materials that have a warranty on them and will not wear out like that! lousy customer service that never reached back to fix the sliding doors to the deck that was malfunctioning. this is the 2nd time I provided business to Ferris, and since that is the 2nd time they treat me like that, never again!

      Mr. ****** - Thank you for reaching out and expressing your concerns. Wood splitting and expansion and contraction are normal for pressure treated wood. The chemical process that makes the product durable can also cause it to twist, warp and crack as it dries out. This is why we do not give material or manufacturer's warranties on pressure treated wood. This is also why there is no warranty listed on your contracts or paperwork. We have reviewed the pictures you sent and everything seems to be what we expect from wood as it dries out. Had this been composite like the last deck you purchased it would have a very strong warranty on the materials. As a courtesy, ****** will be reaching out to come take another look in person. He will be prepared to make any changes he can as a courtesy to help with the deck as well as advice for best practices of care. Your slider has a workmanship and material warranty. One of our coordinators will be reaching out tomorrow to schedule a tech to inspect the issue you're experiencing. We do have a warrant on file that seems to have been resolved on 12/6, but we have no other issues on record. Thank you for your patience.
