After 1 year of no claims getting approved by this company I called to cancel my policy. After holding for 20 minutes I had to provide all this information and what my issues were. Only to be told the reason wasn't good enough. I am used to businesses canceling your policy when the term is up. They put me back on hold for another 30 minutes. BUYER BEWARE if you are looking for reputable, credible home warranty business DO NOT use American Residential Warranty!!They just want your money

We apologize for your experience. Your claim was denied because the issue reported was preexisting, which is not covered per the terms of the plan. All of our calls are recorded, and the longest hold time you experienced was five minutes. Our customer service agent needed the reason for your cancellation request to see if we could improve your experience. Your account was canceled as per your request.

    Thank you for your feedback.

THESE THIEVES DO NOT DESERVE ONE STAR!!I have been with this company since 2019. I have been the biggest fool because I kept paying my hard-earned money to a company that is nothing but a ****. Run far away from this company if you don't like throwing money down the drain. They always find a way to not pay for your item. They love telling you something is not covered. I paid the fee for a service provider to come out on my microwave about 5 times, and the sucker still isn't fixed. I could have bought a new microwave with that money. This last and final time I decided I was not going to give away any more of my money and they left me with an open and unsettled claim on said microwave. Do not be a fool like I was and make this company rich because they do not care about you. After I cancelled my policy, they tried to pull money from my account several times per day for about a month. I called them every day asking them to stop. Each *** that I spoke with guaranteed me that it would not happen again. Sure enough, later that date an attempt was made on my account. I forgot to tell y'all that I had previously spoken with my bank and stopped payment from these thieves. I am glad that it was only my microwave that they chose not to proceed and honor the warranty. I am ****** because I willing paid on this stupid worthless warranty. Trust me...do not get fooled like I did. RUN!!

******, we appreciate the time you spent with us since 2020 and regret that our services did not meet your expectations.

During your time with ARW, we paid out $1750.34 in claims for your microwave, refrigerator, plumbing, and water heater. We strive to provide clear documentation about what is covered and what is not, as every warranty has exclusions. We understand that you would like to have everything covered, but these exclusions are part of the plan you signed up for.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the repeated attempts to withdraw money from your account. These attempts occurred because your payment was late, and your account had not yet been canceled at the time.

We are sorry to see you go but understand that our plan may not be suitable for everyone. If you have any further concerns or need assistance, please feel free to reach out to us.

My wife and I are in our mid/late 70's and we had an absolute terrible experience with ARW and KEEPE.For 3 summer months in 2024, we went with NO Air Conditioning.74 days after my claim was opened and after numerous lies by both ARW and KEEPE, we were notified that ARW was going to buyout our claim. After our claim was opened, it took 17 days to schedule a Tech who diagnosed the problem and said he could not proceed without ARW's *********** took another 12 days to receive the ********* took another 20 days to get the Tech to return to conduct a Leak Test.ARW contracted "KEEPE" to locate local repair services.KEEPE failed to keep scheduled appointments with us and lied to me about the name of the repair company they said had been scheduled. (No such company was confirmed).Despite my objections to ARW to continue to work with KEEPE, ARW continued to work with KEEPE on my claim. On multiple occasions I was told KEEPE would have their completed report submitted to ARW by the end of the day. These promises were not kept. They continually lied and I made this known to ARW. ARW and KEEPE both showed NO compassion that Senior Citizens were without AC during the summer months. If there was any compassion, it would not have taken 74 ******* one point I was told my "Out of Pocket" to repair my Air Conditioning would be $390.I suggested that it would be a positive gesture for ARW to absorb this out of pocket due to the headaches *********** suggestion was declined.Once my claim was closed, I twice wrote to ARW and asked if there was any type of compensation they could provide us for the unacceptable length of time for Seniors not having AC during the summer months and for a truly negative experience with them. Both letters were unanswered.I do NOT recommend both ARW and KEEPE.

*******, thank you for sharing your experience with us. We sincerely apologize for the delays and inconvenience you faced during the summer of 2024. We understand how challenging it must have been to be without air conditioning for such an extended period, especially given your circumstances.

While we deeply regret the delays and communication issues you encountered, we want to highlight that during your time with ARW, you paid $1,600, and we paid out over $4,500 for your AC claim. This payout is ******% of the amount you paid, significantly exceeding your contributions. We hope this demonstrates our commitment to supporting our customers.

We appreciate your feedback and are continuously working to improve our processes to ensure better experiences for our customers in the future.

    Thank you for your understanding.

Wasted an entire day dealing with a terrible appliance company, Need appliance, and had to take the day off from work to deal with this. DON'T GO WITH THIS HOME WARRANTY COMPANY!

    *****,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We want to clarify that we send work orders to service providers, who may accept or reject them based on their ability to take the job. This process is not uncommon, and your claims were opened just a few days ago.

We are actively working on getting your claims resolved as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

    Best regards,

Poor customer service. I filed a claim and after 2 weeks I finally got hold of them and told me I have to wait 30 days. Break down of appliances happened anytime. They can't processed my claim since it is not 30 days yet. But they waited to charged me for my second month payment so I can't refund the payment, even if they have 30 day guarantee.I cancelled my account but I want my money back but they refused to do so. What a scam?!

    Date: 03/10/2025

Thank you for your feedback. We have reviewed your account and the recorded calls.

During the sales call, you were informed about the 30-day waiting period for service, which is also detailed in your plan's paperwork. You were also advised of the 30-day money-back guarantee. You called to place a claim and provided a failure date of two weeks prior to the plan being effective, which is why your claim was denied as preexisting. Additionally, you are past the 30-day money-back guarantee period.

We have followed the terms and conditions of the plan, and you were advised of these during the call. Therefore, no refund is due, and your account has been canceled as per your request.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us.

My husband and I signed up for American Residential Warranty after a bad experience with another warranty company that never responded to our claim for a broken microwave. Hoping to find a better option, we came across this company. During the sign-up process, we asked as many questions as possible and decided to purchase the Total Package with add-ons, as we have a septic system, well, in-ground pool, etc. At the time, the cost was around $109 per ********** forward to today, and our monthly payment has increased to over $165. While that alone was manageable, the real issue came when we actually needed to use the warranty. When our water heater needed repairs, we filed a claimonly to find out that our type of water heater wasnt covered. That prompted me to thoroughly read the contract, and I quickly realized that most of my homes systems and appliances arent covered either, likely due to the age of my home.I take responsibility for not reading the contract in full before signing ******** learned. However, I strongly urge anyone considering this company to read through the contract carefully before committing. If the coverage fits your needs, great. If not, cancel immediately, because you only receive the contract after signing up and making your purchase.Hope this helps others avoid the frustration we experienced!

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We appreciate your feedback and are sorry to hear about the issues you encountered.

While your specific type of water heater may not be covered under your plan, we want to clarify that our plans do not exclude items based on their age. We understand the importance of thoroughly reviewing the contract to ensure it meets your needs, and we encourage all customers to do so.

We value your input and are committed to improving our services. If you have any further questions or need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

This company is the worst! I Been with them for about 17 years and each time that I file a claim, which is not very often it never goes smoothly. They never Have anyone available to come out to service your item and the cash out they offer you is pathetic and it takes Almost A month to receive the cash out from my previous experience and Im still awaiting my cash out from this experience and its been going on two weeks. This company is not recommended. This is my last go around with the company. I will be looking for another company today!

Thank you for being a customer for 7 1/2 years. We understand your frustration and apologize for any inconvenience you have experienced.

We acknowledge that there was a delay in receiving your buyout check. However, according to the call recording, the delay was outside of our control. During your conversation with our team, you mentioned that you refunded ****** by accident, and you were advised that the payment would be reprocessed, which it was.

If there is anything else you need assistance with, please don't hesitate to give us a call.

I escalated the ongoing delay in receiving assistance for my claim filed on January 26th. Despite multiple follow-ups and requests for escalation, the issue remains unresolved, causing considerable inconvenience. The claim was assigned on January 28th and was confirmed for approval on January 29th. However, I have been without heat or a functioning furnace for three weeks, and there has been no follow-up as we await the necessary part. As of today, three weeks later, I have not received a clear update regarding the status of my claim. I previously contacted ARW representatives on Thursday, February 13th; Wednesday, February 12th; Friday, February 7th; and Monday, February 3rd. I was assured that the matter was being addressed and escalated each time. However, I have not received a satisfactory response regarding the delay. Although there is a winter storm, the temperature is within the low 20s.

Ms. ******, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you've experienced. As previously advised, we are currently waiting for the necessary parts to arrive in order to complete the repairs. Unfortunately, the part is on backorder, which is beyond our control, but please rest assured that we are working diligently to resolve the matter as quickly as possible. We understand the urgency of your situation, especially with the winter storm and low temperatures, and we appreciate your patience. We will provide you with updates as soon as we have more information.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Thank you for your feedback.

When you called to open your claim, our representative explained that the issue you reported was considered a maintenance issue and not covered under your policy. This transparency was intended to save you the cost of the trade service fee. It's important to note that during your short period of enrollment, you did have two successful claim outcomes.

We strive to provide clear and helpful information to our customers.

If you have any further questions or need assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out.

When I bought this warranty, I asked the representative if the drop and spill protection covered my Xboxes. Because my kids carry them back and forth between rooms, they assured me it was covered. When I tried to file a claim 10 months later, they said it wasn't covered. I escalated the call to management, and management listened to my original call. They said yes, I was informed that they would be covered but it was up to me to read the terms and conditions and cancel within thirty days if it wasn't up to my standards. So, basically, they told me, yes, they knew their representative lied to me, but I wasn't getting my money back. I tried to read the terms and conditions on their website, but I couldn't; it lets you log in, and when you look under coverage, it just lists items that are covered, not the coverage for the items. This company is scamming people out of money. Had I known they were lying to me, I would have used the money I spent on the warranty and just bought a new Xbox. I will never buy another warranty like this again, and I don't suggest anyone else does either. I was scammed out of my money!
