I am writing to file a formal complaint against Vacation Village regarding the timeshare that my late husband and I purchased. The sales presentation, which was supposed to last one hour, extended to over three hours. During this time, we were subjected to high-pressure tactics such as this is now or never, at this price, you cant go wrong, and the Finance Manager is retiring in June and is offering these exclusive deals.The presentation was very misleading. We were not informed about regular fee increases or the rescission period. We were falsely assured that the timeshare could be sold at any time for a profit and that we would always have availability for travel, which proved to be untrue as we constantly faced issues.Despite our attempts to negotiate, Vacation Village refused to accommodate our changing circumstances, harshly demanding payment and stating that the rescission period had expired. We had been making payments for over a year before our circumstances changed.During the pandemic, I was unable to work due to arthritis, and my husband lost his job due to a serious long-term illness. Sadly, my husband passed away last year. I am now solely responsible for managing the household expenses, and the ongoing stress from this timeshare has been overwhelming, especially since my account has been forwarded to Aspen.I am requesting your assistance in obtaining a release from Vacation Village. Given my current circumstances, I can no longer maintain or utilize this timeshare. I ask that Vacation Village review my case and ***** me relief from this obligation through a complete release.Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your response.

Our experience with Vacation Village, a timeshare company, has been long and arduous! Throughout this journey, we've encountered numerous undisclosed fees and unexpected challenges, leaving us frustrated with our arrangement with Vacation Village. We have already paid off several contracts to the company. Now my wife and I are in our 90s and traveling is no longer an option.We have experienced declining health since 2018 and we are both thankful to God that we survived the ******19 pandemic. We currently live in a Senior Assisted Living facility, on a fixed income, with only Social Security benefits and small pensions. The endless increase in costs is impacting our quality of life negatively. As you can see, traveling is out of the question. We request a release from any future financial obligations. We pray that they will ***** our request. If they dont, we will be left with reaching out to resources that protect the elderly as well consumer advocates. Please do not risk your long-term financial stability by falling for this companys promises of a lifetime of adventure. The truth is adventures generally dont last a lifetime, but this expensive, predatory contract will. Protect yourselves and loved ones.

We have reviewed the Consumers communication via the Better Business Bureauplatform and the allegations contained therein.
We have also reviewed the communication history and ownership information that we have on file regarding the vacation ownership at issue. Consumer entered in to two (2) separate agreements to purchase two (2) separate vacation ownerships on or about April 21, 2007, and October 14, 2014. We are sorry to hear of Consumer's current circumstances. At this time, Consumer no longer has any financial obligation to the respective Developers. If Consumer would like to further discuss their desire to relinquish their vacation ownership, they must direct their communication directly to the Associations for which they have an ongoing obligation for maintenance fees and property taxes.
