On Sunday, January 28th, tickets were purchased for an upcoming trip on bestticketfare.com Immediately after purchasing tickets, a confirmation email is sent saying that the booking was under progress and that the purchase wasnt completed. A phone call then came from someone asking a bunch of questions about the flights. The person was trying to get the flight dates changed, asking for upgrades to be purchased and would not honor the original purchased flight ********** or price. The person then denied the request to cancel and refund and said Thats not possible. Now, many charges are ran on the credit card used for the original purchase.Initial Complaint

Best Ticket Fare a 391 ticket round trip. I got a call later with someone needing to tell me the restrictions: No exchange, no cancellation, random seating, can't change anything, AND I CAN'T bring checked luggage or carry on. Are you kidding me? Same thing noted by the 12/23/2023 complain: "None of the rules, policies or disclaimers noted that the airline ticket did not include bringing any luggage. The agent called me and said they need to upgrade my ticket to allow luggage" at a higher price. I argued that this was disclosed on the website. I was lectured on "what did I expect for such a low price" AND "lots of people travel without luggage". Rubbish! The website and information shows a confirmation number AND that the booking is processing. Then I get the call that I am stuck in the purchase of the restricted ticket. Yes, "A literal scam and bait and switch. The purchase has been made and then, the consumer finds out all the restrictions!"I was amazed when I came to the BBB and found the 12/23/23 complaint is exactly what happened to me. I can't believe there are not more complaints. Amount I paid will be between 390 and 1000 depending on what I decide to do, either struggle with the restricted ticket or OK an upgrade so I can bring luggage.Initial Complaint

This website seems like a scam. I tried to buy basic economy tickets but they said that I was not allowed to carry on and did not allow me to cancel the charge. There was no indication on the page or on email that states that the charge is final and unable to cancel. Then in order to have a carry on which is allowed on economy and charged me an extra $800. The initial price and email was $996.20 and my card was charged $1082.50. When I tried to speak to a supervisor he said that it was final and confirmed and if I try to dispute I will have the reservation cancelled and would not get a refund. This shows that they were able to cancel but refused to do so. They claimed that they stipulate that but I was only told that on the phone after the charge was made and on that phone call was told that I was not allowed a carry on.Initial Complaint

I purchased an american airlines flight through Best Ticket Fare. I had originally visited cheapflights.com but was redirected to Best Ticket Fare to compare prices. The cost was $288.10 with a $100.84 discount. The final cost for the ticket was $187.26. I booked this flight at 10:40 am. At 3:44pm I was called by a ticket agent from ****** travel (***************, ** phone #************) to explain that the fare is non-refundable and I can't bring luggage. They said they would call back when the flight was confirmed. At 4:58pm I received another call from another agent that again wanted to review the terms, they were unaware I already received that same call. 2 minutes later I was called to be informed that the fare I originally booked is no longer available and that they could book a flight on spirit airlines and I would pay another $130. I told them I wanted my money back and they said they could not do that because it was non refundable. When asked to speak to a supervisor, no one was available. I called back and spoke to another agent who put me on hold to transfer me to a supervisor but instead I was transferred to the person that called to tell me the flight was no longer available. After a while they got a supervisor (*********************) on the phone who said they can only cancel my transaction for a $75 fee even though I still had no flight ticket. At this time I had already locked my credit card because I noticed there were no pending charges. While on the phone with the supervisor, I received a notice that a charge had just been declined. When I got off the phone, I immediately called my credit card company and they told me that it was travel transaction that was declined. The supervisor was trying to charge my card for $283.10 while I was on the phone with him! I don't understand how it's non-refundable if I never even had a booked flight.Initial Complaint

This company is a bait and switch platform. I booked an international flight through this website. The tickets were a few hundred dollars cheaper than other websites, which should have tipped me off to an issue. I read the disclaimers to make sure there was not anything I was missing. After booking, I received an email saying they would confirm when the tickets had been purchased. Odd, didn't I just buy the tickets, or did I just place a right to buy the tickets through a scam website? The next day they called me and left a voicemail to call them back. They informed me that the tickets I bought would not allow for me to check a bag, and if I wanted to check a bag I would need to "upgrade my ticket". I've flown often for 20 years and I've never heard of a ticket like this. I went along with it anyway thinking they'd add $200 per ticket and it would still be comparable with other prices I found. *******, who spoke terrible English, told me it would be $800 extra. This was still comparable to other prices, so I went ahead with it. Then he sent me a confirmation email and it was $800 extra per ticket, which put me $400 higher per ticket than other airfares I was looking up at the exact same moment. When I told him this was wrong, he blamed me for not hearing him correctly. I had to blow up on the guy to get him to cancel the ticket (he had earlier in the conversation told me I could not cancel my ticket when I asked him to with the no checked baggage issue). This feels like a massive scam and it is disappointing that other flight brokers run a pricing search through this website. Avoid bestticketfare.com at all cost.Initial Complaint

We tried to purchase airline tickets through this website. The price of the flight was good and the fine print was read. It turns out that the company calls you to upsell the ticket warning you that you can not cancel the purchase in any event and that it will cost another $250 per ticket to be confirmed a seat in main cabin. If we do not pay the extra amount the ticket for this particular flight will be oversold and we will not have a seat on this plane.Initial Complaint

i made a plane reservation online. they called to up charge me and i said no, i want to cancel. I tried to cancel by phone and in chat within 90 minutes of making the reservation and they refused. they are saying that they cannot cancel the reservation.Initial Complaint

I went online to book a flight and chose the cheapest one they had to offer. Nowhere in the offer does it state that no carry on is included. Received a call from an agent to book me on another flight that included a carry on. Was told there was no way to add a luggage fee on the flight I booked. I feel like this is a bait and switch tactic. I ended up booking the offered flight because I couldn't get my money back, so I would have lost it. It ended up costing $150 more than it would have to book directly with the airline. I feel this is incredibly false and unscrupulous advertising. I am not okay with this. I would like a refund of the additional money I paid for the flight i booked which was $305.00. I am seething right now.Customer response

When I complained about the bait and switch and informed them I had filed a BBB complaint, they cancelled the reservation they had made for me and refunded my money, but in looking at the reviews online, it seems this is a common practice for them. I ended up booking through another site and for less money than they had charged me. But they lied to me several times in our interactions and I think had I not filed a complaint, they would not have refunded my money.Initial Complaint

Bought flight tickets from them on 1/8/24. Couple of hours later got a call saying I couldn't bring even a carry on flight. I complained 184 for flight now needed $90 upgrade Said I wanted to cancel transaction couldn't but reduced to $60 upgrade, suspicious said wouldn't do now. Called Bestticketfare to see was legit put me in contact with same lady I had talked to so I agreed. Now I see my credit card bill credit for original purchase ********* Airlines for $60 upgrade billed to All Season Travel LLC. Can email bill if needed. I made the mistake of booking a flight with Bestticketfare.com on Monday, January 8, ****.I received a phone call from an agent representing the company, ***************************, the next day Tuesday, January 9, ****. Call was to inform me that I wasn't allowed any luggage, only a handbag weighing up to 2#unless I paid an additional $216.00, my original price including taxes and any additional fees was to be $224.00.I refused and cancelled my flight after and demanded that no charges be made to my credit card.They agreed to do so after a lengthy conversation. I also requested an email to verify that I would not be charged. Did receive that email after making another request this morning, speaking with *************************, floor supervisor.I just wanted to add my concern to BBB, after reading reviews on your website. Should have read that first, ****** learned.Thank you, ******************* .
