This tow truck company towed my vehicle at my apartment complex after i took my plates off the car saturday, i left to go get my title of my vehicle in my safety deposit box and by the time i got home, this company towed my vehicle. i had not removed my plates less than 24 hours. I had a buyer for said vehicle coming on sunday. This vehicle was registered with apartment complex. they did not send them a letter, they just came in and towed it without any paperwork from the apartment complex. They literally stole my vehicle and trying to charge me a fee.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:You are a predatory tow company, that focuses on ********** families.(look at your reviews) that car was on my apartment lease contract, the apartment complex allows a certain time frame to remove such vehicle since it's literally got changed plates and registration Friday, Saturday morning I took the plates off to sell the car to a company that's was coming on Sunday to give to a family in need.
The apartment complex didn't call you to come get the car, you came in came in because you were looking to make some money, off of people who just went through 2 hurricanes. You can literally see the for sale signs in the car with my number.
So you can put that car right out in your area I will have that guy come pick it up on another tow truck and deliver that car to a family in need, and you can go right ahead and write that tow as a deductible on taxes for charity.
I already know what your going to do with the car, and let me tell you it's going to cost you more than what the cars worth.
Your going to take the car after 30 days and either take it to an car auction and I can go buy it for less than 100 bucks or I can go the junk yard and let em know when a black 04 deville comes in, let me know.
Maybe even the local chop shop.
You literally stole my car,

The company slacks off on its job and only comes in community parking ******* a month. I live in the community. I had a pass on the window and it was ripped off and thrown on the ground. The business is operating illegally, there is not a 6ft tall fence around entire premises, the cameras do not work at all, and the tow truck driver threatened my life. I tried to make a non emergency complaint to lee county sheriffs and told this was a civil matter.I have camera evidence of everything Im saying. This person is saying we are not doing our job!!! Well we must be seeing we removed his car from this community per their by laws. As far as his statement about ripping the pass off, who would ever do this, not us. He made the statement about cameras, everyone has one now a days. We know this and all the drivers know this why would anyone remove anything and throw it on the ground, please show us your evidence and abs will be glad to fire this person and you can then go legal with that driver if you have proof of this matter. However the reason you did not show this proof because you don't have this proof. If you would inform us of your car information and the date the car was towed we will show everyone our pics that we have that shows the true.

They are operating illegally as it is, and if they want proof I will provide. Unfortunately I work 80 hours a week, and me proving my point isnt my top priority. My pass was on the ground and only driver can unlock. The video is poor and doesnt show drivers face or the driver crumbling and But the driver was the only one in the vehicle. You are the only 1 star company in LEE county with a D rating. Look at the other tow companies, your unreliable, dishonest, and rude. ****** not employees show any type of professionalism and should be shut down for multiple violations of ******* status 715. Such as fencing, arriving in 1 hour of telephone reciept and lack of security. And again I have full video of the tow, but he was the only one in the vehicle besides me. The profanity and threatening words verbally from the driver and the lack to have someone there within an hour was violated. Want to keep going?they try to bribe multiple people to pay in cash for a discount. Im almost certain a majority of cash transactions remain hidden. Im definitely no longer looking for a refund but Im definitely making it my life mission to stop predatory practices on such. Oh wait theres more, they only do business outside, and made me wait till 8 am even tho I called at 6. They say they have camera check what time I got there, way over a hour by statue, and thats just to talk to someone. Im done arguing, keep the money, but Im writing the news.

Ok not sure why this requires a second respons, seeing in his first complaint he stated he has video showing our driver doing somthing wrong, now he is saying he does not have video showing the drivers face or the driver crumbliing his so called pass up. As far as operating illegally we have a occupational business license not sure what he is referring to. He also state he called in at 6 to pick up his car and must have been informed that we can meet him at 8. Well the law is clear we have go to answer are calls like we did obviously, seeing he stated he called at 6 and picked up is vehicle at 8. However if are driver is on a call meaning towing for someone and we are unable to get back to the yard we will schedule a time frame for that person to pick up their vehicle. So it sounds like that is what obviously took place. As far as doing business outside that is what we do right out side at a table under the cameras. We publicize this as well. By the way this is not against the law. We are out there doing busiiness with them, they are not out there alone. We are a repo company and a tow yard there is no happy people that come to our doors. With that being said we are a family owned business and we have small kids that does not need to see people trying to hit us. So yes we do business out side. Once more we have ask this person to give us the vehicle information so we can show all of our pics when we need to. But as of date we still don't know what this persons vehicle was, nor do we really need to know now. Thanks ARA

my son car was towed from the apt complex we live in... there was suppose to be a 24 to 48 hr. notice before towing vehicles. the vehicle had a flat tire. they marked it as improper parking but it was only a flat tire. there were damages done to the vehicle when they towed it. the 1999 *********** bug sits low to the ground and should had be put on a flat bed or not towed at all because we didn't get a notice. they ruined the front bumper the rim of the tire (they hulled it on a flat and drove it.) there are pictures i have in my possession. the staff was rude used fowl language and had their children present probably under the age of 5. I've never went to any place of business that treated people the way they did o me and my son. they completely ruined my son car. like i stated the car should had never been towed their were several vehicles towed that nightBusiness response

Hello, First lets start out with this person called our company upset that the property management team called to have this towed from their property. Once we towed this unit these people called our office calling our staff members every name in the book and stating we are paying for all the damages to this car. It is nice they took the pics to send your company. Our drivers take pics inplace before we tow any car. We have photos showing the damage to the lower rocker panel area as well as the front fender area that he has in his pics he sent you. We have no problem going to court to show our photos of this unit that we took before remove this unit from the spot it was in. We are not going to pay for damage we did not do and have proof of this. Good try, but not going to happen. We will see you in court with all of our photos showing the damage was already on this unit before we hooked this unit. Also why does anyone state we are going to pay for all the damages on there car over the phone with out even look at your car at our lot. Also why would someone every leave our lot with out calling the police to report this so called claim. I will tell you if some tow company towed my car and their was damage done to it I would not leave with out reporting this to the police or causing a scene on their lot for sure. These people never stated anything to our company they signed their tow ticket and paid the fees. The only thing they stated was the car should have not been towed, we informed them if the community request a tow we tow them. We also informed this person to take this matter up with the community. So to end this we are not willing to pay for anything seeing we did not do anything and we have all the proof to go to court with meaning the photos are drive to with this unit in place before we hooked this unit.Initial Complaint

This business is shifty, bordering on downright criminal. All I've been doing is trying to get a bike out on behalf of a customer and they want to act like children. Every time I call they tell me something new I need to get the bike out, which changes the next time I call. All in an effort to wrack up the exorbitant storage fees. Talking with these "people" is genuinely unpleasant in every way, with their newest thing being outright refusing to talk to us because I guess we called one too many times for details (9 times total over the course of 10 days). I'm dumbfounded they're allowed to exist.Business response

This company towed a vehicle parked in a handicap spot with visible permits, showing a disregard for the needs of disabled individuals and senior citizens. I also will be filing a lawsuit with small claims court. At this point its not about the money its the principal of the matter.Business response

11/22/2023 ************ repossessed my Vehicle along with personal belongings, including/ IDs/Credit Cards and Cash valued at $ ******* *********** had the Vehicle for less than 8 hours. I retrieved my items; all my personal belongings had already been removed from the car and placed in a trash bag, and a purse that included the cash was locked ** in a safe on ABS premises. I verified the cash and only had ****** in the purse One or more Employees at the ************ establishment have stolen my family's hard-working funds to pay my late rent payment. Today's experience at this ************ establishment was unprofessional; its employees are very rude; the employee there has no customer ********************** ethics. My family received no empathy from ************ for losing ******** dollars while my property was in their possession. The actions employees displayed today show dishonesty to my funds being removed from my purse.Business response

First I would like to start out with this, this person on the phone stated before they even came that I'm sure we are missing our money. Then when this person came they arrived in a older car and a guy was telling the girl hay don't forget we are missing money. So when she came to sign for her personal property the girl helping her stated right away we heard what the guy was telling you to say. This is when abs girl then stated don't even try that, meaning we heard the guy and we don't take peoples money. Then she went there. Saying I have money missing. At this point she did not even have her purse to know if anything was missing. We informed her she was getting back what ever was in her purse and that is what she got. It is just odd that a person makes that statement over the phone before they came and also the guy telling her to make sure you tell them money is missing when she was walking to our door area. Also their statment that they had their hardworking money for the late rent payment. Is this not odd to everyone looking at this statement from them. ABS staff did not take anything from this persons purse. Why would we not just take it all. This person is looking for us to pay her past due rent it sounds like and we already know that she is behind on her car payments or she would not be at our place of business. Please keep in mind when this person called and stated she needs her purse out of her car, we informed her that we don't do same day appointments and that she would have to sent up a appointment on line to pick up her items that had been inside of her car when we repoed it. She set the appointment up and then called and asked if there was anyway to come in right away. The young lady at ABS stated she will force her appointment for today and that we are closing at 12:00 for the hoilday, but if she can get in by that time we will help her. She stated she can and then she called about 11:59 stated she is running a few mins behind ***** in our office told her we are leaving at 12:30 so if you are not at our office by then you will have to come on Monday. She stated she would be at our office before then. We just wanted to let everyone know we had been nothing but nice to this person and was trying to help this person so that she had her ID and her purse over the weekend. My car was taken from community parking lot a few days ago. I was told by police department when I reported my license plate stolen that tow company would hold fees due to the license plate being stolen and it getting towed through no fault of my own. Well the car company is charging me $343.33 I cant afford that right now and they say it will be higher tomorrow. The most I can give is $200. I need my vehicle backBusiness response

Hello, We need more info then this persons car was towed. Like what was the vehicle, and law enforcement would only tell them to call the tow company and they will inform you of your fees. They would never give any info to a towed person.Customer response

I do not know why you would think anyone could speak on behalf of this company other than myself . I as the owner of this company did not agree to hold fees , and as a officer of the law they should not be speaking out of context on behalf of my company . Law enforcement can not " hold fees " or speak on behalf or above a communities bylaws . Simply handled if you would have advised property management of your situation they could have sent a email requesting your vehicle not to be towed like thousands of other residents have to do when they require " special exceptions ." Taking matters into your own hands against the bylaws you agreed to got you towed . We will no longer continue to respond to these ***** alligation because you "feel" like you are above bylaws etc . If you dont like the rules where you reside do not live in a HOA, condo , or apt where these rules are governed . Please proceed in any fashion you find appropriate .Initial Complaint

ABS ************** illegally towed my truck from business that was parked in same spot every day for weeks and they towed in middle of day. On March 27th, 2022 my car was illegally towed by ABS Towing & Recovery Location: **** Enterprise Pkwy, Fort Myers, FL ***** I left my apartment complex Sunday morning and returned a few hours later to my vehicle missing. When I got in contact with the towing company (3/28) they lied saying they received a complaint about my vehicle from the housing complex of my vehicle being parked without a tag. I checked with management as well as security (3/30) to confirm non of this was indeed true, furthermore they initially refused to allow me to retrieve my personal items and went as far as to threatened myself and my fiancé and kick us off their property with our one year old daughter present and locking the door. They also called the police and further fabricated the untruthful story of why they illegally towed my vehicle and the preceding events before the police arrived. I repeatedly asked for verification of the complaint that was allegedly filed to have my car towed they avoided and out right refused my request and willingly stood on their illegal justification of towing my vehicle on basis of a contract with the complex and they received a complaint both of which are not true. I have emails from management as well as security to validate my claims, they have had my car since they illegally towed my vehicle. I loss my job shortly after having to leave work early the day they called the police when I was attempting to recover my property.Business response

HOWEVER THIS PERSON DID COME WITH A BABY AND THE OWNER OF THE CAR AND WALKED IN TO OUR OFFICE CALLING US EVERY NAME YOU CAN THINK OF AND THEN STARTED TO SWING AT OUR OLDER LADY IN OUR OFFICE. THAT IS WHEN THE POLICE DID GET CALLED, WE ASKED THEM TO LEAVE OUR OFFICE SEVERAL TIMES AND THEY DID NOT LEAVE TILL THEY DID SEE THAT WE CALLED THE LOCAL LAW. WHILE ON THE PHONE WITH LOCAL LAW, THE LADY WAS HITTING THE WINDOW AND TAKING A VIDEO OF HERSELF OUT SIDE OF OUR OFFICE DOOR SAYING ALL CRAZY STUFF AS SHE WAS DOING THAT ONE OF THE GIRLS IN THE OFFICE WAS HITTING THE WINDOW INSIDE TELLING HER TO CATCH HER BABY, SHE WAS NOT WATCHING HER KID AND THE STROLLER WAS ROLLING OFF THE SIDE WALK. THIS WAS RECORD BY LOCAL LAW SEEING WE HAD BEEN ON THE PHONE WITH THEM AT THAT POINT. WITH ALL THAT BEING SAID WE HAVE NO PROBLEM LETTING PEOPLE REMOVE THEIR PERSONAL ITEMS FROM THEIR TOWED CAR, HOWEVER WE DO HAVE A PROBLEM WHEN THEY START SWINGING ON PEOPLE. wE DO HAVE CAMERAS IN OUR OFFICE AND 2 OFFICE STAFF MEMBERS THAT HAD BEEN IN THE OFFICE AT THE TIME OF THIS MATTER. WE DID INFORM THEM THEY HAVE A SECURITY COMPANY AT THIS PROPERTY AND THE TOW WAS REQUESTED BY THE PROPERTY BY LAWS. WE DID INFORM THEM OF THEIR CURRENT TOW FEE AS WELL AT THAT POINT.
