I contacted Vet comp and pen to help me file a VA claim in August 2020. I noticed immediately that they were no help after a few days. I stopped speaking with them and continued to file my own paperwork, get my own records and prepare for the medical evaluations with no help or correspondence with them at all. My award letter clearly states I was represented by a VA accredited agency that does NOT charge a fee and works in the VA Clinic. I continued to go through the process for over a year and was eventually awarded benefits through the VA. Today I received an electronic bill from vet comp and pen saying I owe for 5 months of consultation $9,000. I’ve emailed and called asking for proof of services rendered and no one will reply or call me back. This company is a scam. Please help. Thank you so much.Business Response

Upon suggestions from a former shipmate, I contacted Vet comp and pen to help me file a VA claim in early 2022. After not receiving any real communication or guidance from their firm and coming to the conclusion that they were of no help, I ceased attemps to contact them and proceeded to file my own paperwork, submit my own records and prepare for the medical evaluations with no help or correspondence with them at all. I continued to go through the process on my own for several months. Eventually, working along with a local Veterans Service Officer, I was awarded benefits through the VA. Once that occurred, that's when I started receiving bills and constant harassing calls and emails. I received an electronic bill from vet comp and pen saying I owe consultation fees of nearly $800. Vet, Comp & Pen (now Trajector Medical) never assisted or submitted any medical evidence on my behalf that resulted in the VA's decisions of my claims. I did all the work myself and with the help of the local Veterans Service Officer. I have since sent them an email to this effect, stating that they had no hand in assisting with my claims nor had I received any help from them and requested they close my account and clear my information from their system. I have yet to receive any emails to confirm that they are doing this. This company is a scam. Please help. Thank you so much. Sincerely. ***.Business Response

I had problems for years getting my VA claim done. Someone recommended VA Claim Pros, now Trajector. I went online, filled out all the medical stuff, then received a phone call from. They explained the pay, they take 5 Months of increase in pay. I asked them, what if my retirement pay decreases the amount that my VA claim increases, then I won't be making any extra money, and I was already struggling to pay my bills. I am a single father, and cannot work due to my disability. They GUARANTEED me that would not happen, that I would receive concurrent pay, and that they had never seen military retirement pay decrease. I told them that my retirement pay had decreased the first time I filed a claim, but again, they stated that that never happens with them. Well, I got my decision letter, and sure enough, my retirement pay decreased the same amount my VA increased. I told them what happened, but they kept stating I owe them $5000. They've been harassing me for over a year now, and today a representative called to tell me again that I owe them. I kept trying to explain what they had done, but the woman wouldn't let me finish a sentence, started to threaten action, then hung up on me. I've reported them as scammed, but decides to list them here as well so other vets don't fall for them. A few.minutes ago, the same woman called, said hello, then hung up on me again. I can't take any more of the harassment or threats. They did NOTHING to help me, and now want money I don't have and will never have, as I can never work again.Business Response

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] I have received ONE email from the company, which I immediately replied to. The fake email they used in this reply is just an attempt for them to get good standing with the BBB. They used fraud to get my business, did not assist in scheduling appointments, and now want over $5000, because they sent me a filled out form, which I had to redo because of all the grammar and spelling errors. They've been harassing me me for over a year, always from different phone numbers, and a different person every time. This company scams disabled vets like myself, then demand money that I don't have, and never will have. I barely make ends meet, and don't have $5 to my name, let alone 5000. All vets should be warned.

We develop medical evidence in support of disability compensation claims that a Veteran chooses to make and for which they are medically, legally, and ethically qualified. We only charge a fee when that medical evidence results in an increase in disability pay for a client. Trajector did not meet it's side of the agreement, so I terminated the agreement prior to my VA claim being closed/complete. However, they refused to acknowledge/respond with anything other than generic/form emails asking for more information. Below is the last email I sent them. Attached is the text of the arguments for why they did not meet their end of the agreement. I have two basic questions at this point: 1. How do you know my current status with the VA? You would need this to determine my bill, and I have sent you nothing. 2. What evidence do you have that you provided any support for a medical evidence packet? Unless you can provide evidence otherwise, you have not met your part of the agreement, so there is no reason for me to pay you anything. I sent an email on 15 July 2022 outlining my basic arguments why you did not meet your requirements as part of the agreement in my case. I will paste below my signature the arguments from that email. Note - I never received a response to that email contradicting anything I said, just acknowledgement it was received. Maybe you have helped other veterans, but not in my case. Based on your lack of response to my concerns, tomorrow afternoon, I will submit my concerns to the BBB, social media reviews, FTC, the VA IG, and any other appropriate organization I can find. If you can provide evidence you met your end of the agreement, that will change my outlook. Otherwise, you appear to be a company preying on veterans. **** ******Business Response

We want to verify the accuracy of the invoice that was sent to you. Without your VA Rating Decision Letter, we are unable to determine if the services we provided supported an increase in your overall rating. We ask that when you receive it, that you send us your VA Rating Decision Letter, which you agreed to send us in your signed service agreement. This letter will list the evidence used in the VA's decision of the claim - providing us an opportunity to verify our contribution and move forward in reconciling your invoice. On the 23rd of August 2022 I received an email that included an invoice for over 8K. Trajector Medical was claiming that the recent increase in my VA disability rating was due to there assistance. This is totally false. I had acquired their assistance in 2021 and was satisfied with the help that I received with my claim. I was successfully increased to 90% and paid Trajector Medical in full according to the agreement. My last payment was in March 2022. Trajector Medical had tried to contact me in order to process an appeal to increase my rating to 100% (Scheduler). I never acknowledged or authorized any further action be taken because I was going to file for TDIU (Total Disability Individual Unemployability) and Trajector Medical does not assist in TDIU claims. I filed on my own in June 2022 and fortunately my claim was approved. After I received the invoice I called Trajector Medical and informed them that my increase had nothing to do with any information or advice that they provided. As a show of good faith, I sent them my Decision Letter, List if disabilities and my VA payments (Received) as they requested. The collection Representative told me that once everything is received the issue would be resolved. I recently received an email from the collections Rep stating that my documents have been "Forwarded" for review on a "First come first serve" basis. What? It's the 25th of the month and the first payment of over $1700 on this erroneous invoice is due for withdrawal on the 1st of September. I had no issue with my original payment for services but will not accept a bill when they did nothing. This issue must be resolved immediately without any attempts to collect payments that are not warranted.Business Response

This company absolutely scammed me. I requested they not move forward with my claim after doing research into their extreme costs. They still went through with my claim, and had the audacity to send me a bill for almost $9,000. The company could not be reached over the phone, or via email until my claim was done. I repeatedly requested they leave my claim alone and they blatantly ignored me.Business Response

In 2021 I utilized services from Vet Comp & Pen (now Trajector Medical) and was able to receive an increase from 10% to 20% on my VA disability in February 2022. Shortly after I received a bill for $985 and paid in full on 3/18/2022. In May 2022, I informed them that I would not be using their services for any additional claims and our business was complete. A few weeks after this, I decided to pursue a higher level review appeal on prior claims. Fortunately the VA approved the Higher Level review and increased my disability percentage. Now Trajector Medical is requesting an additional $6,141.05 for medical advice and services. I informed them that my recent increase had nothing to do with any information or advice that they provided. In fact, since the February 2022 increase, I have only received support from them for a claim (PTSD Secondary) which was submitted (Faxed via Atomic Form) in April 2022 and denied by the VA 4 days later in April 2022. I sent them that rating decision letter, and, in a show of good faith, I also sent them my Higher Level Review decision letter to prove that my increase had nothing to do with their services. They will not accept the Higher Level Review decision letter and keep demanding a Rating Decision Letter. After submitting the Higher Level Review decision letter, Trajector Medical submitted a fradulent claim for increase to disabilities (Via Atomic Forms) for the same disabilities I appealed in the Higher Level Review, to the VA without my consent, authorization or knowledge. Now I continue to receive emails and phone calls demanding payment and a copy of my most recent decision letter. I have asked that this be sent to a supervisor multiple times without any change. I had no issue with my original payment for services but will not accept a bill when they did nothing.Initial Complaint

I knew you guys would do this for the past 4 yrs this company has taken advantage of me being a disable veteran. You never had time to work my case I never received updates or follow ups frankly I never knew where I was in my process. and all I did was wait to get information consistently battling my ptsd kept me extremely depressed and I called often for help. Which I never received..My claims continued to be denied and at your suggestion I went with Tracjactor legal which was an awful mistake. I thought you all were a veteran ran company and I trusted you all.. This company completely failed me. This last claim for mental health I paid $1100 to get another evaluation not bc you all thought it was a good idea but bc I insisted that something be done to move my claim forward. After getting that done and I needed to do an appt with the VA for claims I called you guys for an entire week begging for help to prep me for my appt no one ever called me back. I went into the appt alone and blind.. Also I had to file my own ****** trauma claim online bc you guys were always backed up or unaware of my claims and what part of the process I was in..shame of you all this is disgraceful. As soon as you see I received my increase then you have time for me..I will not be taken advantage of by any one. The first increase that I received in earlier yrs I had no problem with paying for the services bc at the time you all were extremely helpful. I even referred shipmates to the company. But over the yrs you all lost site of what was important and that’s helping the veteran get benefits they deserve. And decided to go with quantity over quality.. Battle buddy?? you guys have to be kidding me..?? Now that my rating is increased you all have all the time in the world to reach out and help.. Where was ***** my battle buddy when I needed him the most I called and emailed multiple times for help and he ghosted me.. This company is a disgrace and I’m broken by your actions.Initial Complaint

Invoice dated August 17 2022 for the amount of 6667.70. On June 08 of 2021. I spoke with ***** ****** with Vet Comp and Pen in reference to trying to get an increase on my VA disability. He was informed that I had 2 appeals pending at the Board of Veterans appeals and that I also had an attorney . I agreed to let them work new issues and not to interfere with anything that my attorney was working. I. Was later assigned a battle buddy ******* ******* on 06/16/2021 at 755 am by email. Who I was told can be reached by the following (You can reach me at my direct number at ********** or my email at battlebuddy***********************. I stayed in touch with him for the next 3:5 months. During that time I sent emails to ***** about my appeals this was to ensure that no interference was done. I also emailed ******* my rating decision for the service connected issues that Vet Comp and Pen raised showing no change to my over all rating! At that time I told him that I wanted to wait before we proceeded further and that I wanted to stop my services with Vet Comp and Pen now Trajector Medical. That was on 09/12/21. We also spoke by phone. I did receive several emails and phone calls which is harassment. I did not give them any further permission to access my VA records or to conduct any more work on my behalf.Business Response
