I had an extremely disappointing experience with the Italian American Citizenship Assistance Program (ITAMCAP). Communication was consistently an issue I often had to send multiple emails or call them directly just to get a response. It sometimes took repeated follow-ups before someone would finally address my questions or ************ instance stands out where they improperly ordered a record, causing further delays as we had to reorder it. During phone calls, the staff generally sounded disinterested and seemed almost annoyed by my calls, as other reviewers have also mentioned.Although they initially mentioned they would try to help me secure an appointment (see attached screenshot), this assistance never materialized. I ended up finally securing an appointment on my own. While I did receive my completed application packet, ITAMCAPs services were bare minimum at best. Every time I interacted with a new team member, it became apparent that they were unfamiliar with key details of my file that I had already reviewed with other staff members. This lack of internal communication was frustrating and wasted my ******* make matters worse, my appointment was over a year ago, and not once did ITAMCAP follow up to check on how it went or to discuss any next steps, such as obtaining a passport.For anyone considering their services, I highly recommend instead joining the Dual U.S.-Italian Citizenship ******** group, which now has over ****** members offering far more helpful insights and guidance than ITAMCAP ever did. Numerous group members have also shared similar experiences with ITAMCAP, so I know Im not alone in my ****************** the end, I was extremely displeased with ITAMCAP. Their service quality did not match the cost at all. For many people, a DIY approach with community support would be a better, less frustrating option. Previously I would have given this business a better rating but I received my packet of information a month ago. At that time I realized that about 10 pages that had not been translated, be translated. I am traveling to ***** to complete my dual citizenship and I dont want to have any surprises when I get there and that is the reason for my request. I have had to email ********* at ITAMCAP several times and all I get is lip service. My last 2 emails to ********* remain unanswered. I also messaged the principal of the company, ******* *******, 2 days ago and have not received a response back. I guess the attitude of the employees comes straight from the top. I would not recommend this company. Their work ethic seems substandard.

I tried to apply for my passport on my own and after leaving the Italian Consulate empty handed I decided to go through a company. I reached out to Itamcap via email and very promptly all the information I requested was answered. There were no hidden costs and I submitted all the paperwork that was required. After a few months I received my appointment date with the Consulate (this process was extremely arduous when I did it on my own) and instructions what was required for the appointment. Upon arriving at the consulate I was received by the passport administrator and within a couple of minutes my Italian passport was in hand. The entire process from beginning to end with ITAMCAP was handled professionally and I am very happy with the outcome. I give this Company 5 stars. Silvana G.

I had a very complicated case. I called this company and it was worth every single *****. They hold my hand and took me through the whole process in a very professional way. They always responded very promptly to all my questions. They were kind and helpful. They know the Italian laws inside and out. They gave me hope from day 1. I been trying to get my Italian passport for more than 20 years, once I contacted this company, 6 month later, I had my passport.

In January of 2022 I learned of the Italian law regarding Jure Sanguinis. When I heard about this, I knew I must become Italian. You know, not just Italian-American, but actually Italian, and recognized as such. I explored the options for consultants to conduct the genealogy and gather the required documents. My first interactions with ITAMCAP were with Giorgio N******, the founder of the organization. I later emailed with Veronica and Sara, and later worked directly with Mattia. The process of Jure Sanguinis is intense. You will see documents that report on the lives of people about whom you have heard and perhaps never met. You will learn that details you relied upon from siblings, parents, and aunties are not quite accurate. These people come to life in ways you never imagined. Your ancestors will become real for you, and the many small details of your heritage will come into focus. Veronica performed the document search for me in only four short months. I was so happy! As I began the wait for an appointment at the Italian Embassy in Miami, my documents were translated and certified very quickly. But, when everything was ready to go, the wait for an appointment had grown from eighteen months to four years. Everyone wants to be Italian! And so, with the assurance from Veronica and Sara that I would have their support, I decided to come to Italy earlier than planned and make my application here. This is when Mattia C*********** got involved. Mattia attended my application meeting at the comune with me, and walked me through the process of the necessary step of gaining residency. Mattia is amazing! His English is perfect. His understanding of Jure Sanguinis is thorough, and he has a unique empathy for what the applicant is experiencing and how to make the process as easy on them. Mattia’s help has been invaluable! I highly recommend ITAMCAP for your Jure Sanguinis application. The team is hardworking and capable, and in the end, you will be Italian!

******* and his staff did an amazing job for **** started the process in late 2019 and within a couple months of that start, COVID hit. In spite of that event, the timeline for my citizenship was not greatly impacted. I was told upfront that the process can take two years or more (without the impact of a pandemic).In fact, it took longer, certainly because of the pandemic and it's considerable effect on *****. However, I was informed and aware of the status and issues throughout the process until I received my citizenship.I would highly recommend ******* and ITAMCAP to anyone seeking to become an Italian citizen. They are thoroughly knowledgeable about the process and pitfalls.I am so grateful for everything they did for me.

Started with Giorgio close to three years ago and he is awesome!! Giorgio, Augustina & Sara did a great job helping me get my citizenship. There were very many details that had to be researched due to my family history and it was not easy so it took patience. But they got it done!! I now have Dual Citizenship! They were all so very helpful and friendly along the way and explained everything clearly. Communication was great via telephone, email, and text. Do it!! I would definitely recommend ITAMCAP to anyone looking to acquire citizenship.

I would give them ten stars if I could. They are so professional and knowledgeable, and took me step by step in this process. There is a lot of paperwork involved and I cannot imagine doing this by myself. They always made themselves available to speak with me and answer my many questions. I would not hesitate to recommend them to everyone.
