1 starAM Autoparts. they contacted me by phone stating they had a transmission for my vehicle with only 47,000 miles on it. With a price of $1,100 and free shipping I thought that was a pretty good deal so I purchased it from them. Little did I know the scam. let me explain the scam to you. Here goes they send you out a junk car part then they tell you you can return it for a 25% restocking fee and a $400 shipping fee. And here's the thing they don't even have the auto parts. they're purchasing him from junk yards around the country and having them sent to you they don't care about the miles they don't care about the condition they just have it shipped to you. it could be junk it could be a core it don't matter to them it's all about them getting the money from your credit card or your debit card and once you sign that contract they think it's airtight. But I think if all of us here can prove that they did not fulfill their contract we could have a class action lawsuit against them if we all gather together. Well here is the story I ordered a transmission from them they had one shipped to me from a junkyard in the United States this one in particular Kansas City they said that they tested the part which is a lie they did not test the part I mean a.m. auto parts that is they said they inspected it which they did not they told me it had 47,000 miles on it which it does not it has 148,000 Mi on it which it says on the tag that the junkyard put on it. There's also no VIN number on it so AM Autoparts is reselling without VIN numbers might be highly illegal. Now let's see if these scumbags reply to this that's exactly how this company functions they do not care about the customer it is all about getting your money and leaving you with a non-function mean part. And that's your scam boys explain this one away.Review fromBlessed K

1 starThis company is a scam. They sent me a broken transmission. But because the part wasnt installed within 30 days they are saying I cant have a refund! How was a broken part supposed to be installed. I wasted $2100 paying these people and the shop for them to scam me out of my money.Review fromSteven S

1 starYes, my name is ***** *****.This company stole eight thousand dollars of my money. They sent me documentation stating that my motor had twenty nine thousand miles on it, and then yeah, the other motor had fifty seven thousand. When the motors arrived at my business here in north carolina, there was a vehicle identification tax, stating that the motor had a hundred and fifty eighty one thousand miles on one motor and the other had a hundred and fifty one thousand people miles. Absolutely, nobody cares the federal protection agency. The Better Business Bureau doesn't care. Or the police department, all it is is one big scam.Nobody gives a **** about anybody. They let this company continue working. And ripping off hardworking americans. My phone number is I'm hiring an attorney to go after these clowns, please contact me if you want to get on the bandwagon. Against this company that has stolled thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands. And yet nobody cares, they let them continue operating, we've taken advantage of hard work and Americans, and they could give less than a **** about your feelings. Your family situation, your financial issu. And come, i'm retired and have very little money. What this company is doing is a felony, but if you were to do something like that, you would be put in jail, but yes, they don't care for me. All they care about is letting these companies operate so they can get some type of kick back.Review fromTommy C

1 starAbsolutely the worst company I've ever dealt with. You sent me the wrong transmission—twice. First, a 4-wheel drive when it wasn’t even close to what I needed. Then you sent a rear-wheel drive that STILL didn’t match my steering column linkage. Neither transmission worked, and both were misrepresented. Instead of owning your mistake, you sent me a YouTube video like I was an idiot. I’ve got Master Techs working on this—not some backyard job. Then you had the nerve to ask for my VIN after everything was installed—news flash: it was on top of the transmission the whole time. I told you I’m 650 miles away and even drove all the way to Orlando to try to get this resolved. And only then did you suddenly decide, “Now we can help you.” What kind of garbage customer service is that? Now I’m stuck with a broken vehicle, months of wasted time, and no resolution. Your screw-up has cost me money, time, and the use of my vehicle. And because of you, I’m selling it—because I can’t trust anything you sold me. Your sales reps and managers are completely useless. I've made over 20 calls trying to fix YOUR mistake, and got nothing but attitude and runarounds. Your company sucks. I’m leaving this review everywhere until people know to stay far away.Review fromWilliam G

1 starI bought a transmission for my truck from this company, $1,499.00, paid my mechanic to remove the old one and install this trans. The truck barely made it back to the shop after a short test drive. I contacted the compant and was given a list of required parts for the installation, which included axle seals for the front axles, which have nothing to do with the transmission. That's the hidden language to get out of honoring the warranty. Also was told that I would have to pay for return shipping. I paid the shop $600.00 to do the swap, now more money to take the defective transmission out, crate it up for shipping. This thing is going to the scrap yard and I will not dump more money into trying to get a refund on the piece of junk they sent me. I only wish I'd checked with BBB before I bought this. This company is NOT to be trusted. I left one star rating only because it wouldn't let me leave no stars.Review fromDavid M

1 starBought a used tranny, paid for shipping, paid mechanic to remove old and put in AM's. Tranny didn't work after install. After several, and I mean several phone calls /emails between AM, my mechanic, and myself, AM advised I had to send it back for a refund!! Furthermore, I paid over $1,000 for tranny plus shipping. Paid my mechanic over 1,800 to remove/install trannies and all parts required by AM ! AM refused to pay for shipping back! Which was a couple hundred! And refused to pay for or help pay for the removal of its defective tranny they sent. Moreover, AM advised me that that had tested the tranny before they sent it and it worked. Which was obviously not true!! I am out over 2800 dollars and still stuck with a tranny that does not work. My mechanic wanted $800 to remove AM tranny and another $300 to ship it which is more than the cost of AM's tranny. There was no point to take it out and send it back. It should also be noted that I had to deal with 2 different reps and it took 3-5 months of headaches with them.AM Used Auto Parts

Good morning,
Thank you for reaching out, and were sorry to hear about your experience.
According to our records, the transmission was purchased and received in May 2024. In September 2024, you contacted us to report an issue with the part. At that time, we spoke directly with your mechanic, gathered all necessary information, and proceeded to file a warranty claim on your behalf. The claim was approved, and return instructions were sent via email to both you and your mechanic. As of today, it has been 10 months since the claim was granted, and we have not received the part back.Review fromRyan W

1 starBiggest crooks I ever dealt with, ordered a 6.7 diesel motor from them that supposedly only had 50,000 miles on it. It showed up and looked like they pulled it from the bottom of a lake, took 3 months of them putting me in hold and it cost me $4000 just to return it and their ‘restocking’ fee for an engine they claimed was inspected and testedReview fromDavid D

1 starI spent $3700 on a 2021 **** 3.5 expedition motor with ***** miles and extra $489 for 5 year labor/parts warranty. Upon receiving the motor it is not what I ordered, build date on the engine is 10/23/19, and front cover leaking oil, valve cover broke, turbo lines cut, water pump line bent, looks to have way more miles. Pretty much told me all I can do is ship it back for a refund.. but that will set me back 3+ weeks for shipping and waiting on refund.. the sales guy sent me a vin number and pictures of motor/ vehicle I was supposed to receive the engine out of.. I should not of got an older/ more mileage engine for the money I spent with these people.. I do not recommend buying from them! You will not receive the parts you think you are purchasing..AM Used Auto Parts

I understand you inspect and it meets my specifications but its not the engine you sold me.. I was suppose to receive a 2021 engine with only ***** miles, this engine is a 2019 and idk the mileage thats on this engine you sent me.. so its not what I paid for.. you told me I have to pay the return shipping. Which I should not be required to pay for because you sent me wrong one..! You sent me the wrong engine that I did not purchase!!!! it will work in my truck yes, but thats not the point.. I wanted a NEWER, LOW mileage engine which I was told I was purchasing! Not an engine I know nothing about miles or vin number of vehicle it came out of!!Review fromEbony W

1 starI wouldn't recommend anyone buying anything from this company. I was sold a transmission that didn't work, although I was told parts are tested before they are shipped. YEAH RIGHT!! I lost money, by paying for transmission install twice and storage fees while claim was being processed. Do yourself a favor and purchase parts from your local auto parts warehouse. NEVER AGAIN!!!
