I have been a member since Jan., 2018 and joined at a middle *** plan since half of my office was enrolled and very happy. I decided to raise my *** a few years ago to the max $12,000 since I rarely went to a doctor and when I did, I was able to pay a greatly reduced monthly rate thru Medi Share. I essentially had this coverage in case of an emergency. This past summer in 2024, I developed blot clots in my leg that ended up going to my lungs and had to be hospitalized for 4 days and put on blood thinners. Two weeks later I was back in the ** with a GI bleed and spent 5 more days in the hospital with several procedures including a blood plasma transfusion. I am ever so thankful for the guidance I received from the MediShare "nurses" in handling my processing and payment of the enormous amount of bills I racked up and for the Medi-Share community who shared my expenses. The staff also called to check in on me several times over the next few months and made sure I was healing and if I had any questions. They also informed me that Medi-Share would cover 6 months of my ******* which was $600/mo. Since my year was ending soon, I was able to find a local pharmacist who was willing to fill my prescription for the 6 months and I was reimbursed for it. I am ever so grateful for the kindness of the staff and ease of handling the bills later and would, and have to many people, recommend Medi-Share for those who need medical coverage.Christian Care Ministry, Inc.

We've been a Medi-Share member for just about a year now. I've ever had a more helpful group of people work with me. We did have a medical emergency occur in May and they worked with us to get everything collected and submitted. Once submitted, we were reimbursed within a week. Every conversation ends the same way, asking if there is anything they could pray for, and we end the call in a prayer. Thank you for your commitment to others!Christian Care Ministry, Inc.

I joined Christian Care Medishare in 2022 and have not needed to file a medical need until now. Now that I need to use this service I am unable to reach anyone on the phone or via email. I have called five times over the past week and left three e-mail messages and keep getting automated messages. No one has replied. As a result *** had to cancel my scheduled outpatient surgery. They cannot be reached for any kind of pre-approval or confirmation of any kind.Christian Care Ministry, Inc.

I have been a member for 10 years. We've had 2 major medical events. The best thing about Medi-Share is that the ************ account you open up is in YOUR name. The first event was a motorcycle accident. Medi Share has a limit for these types of accidents. The Hospital Bill was more than double that, so I asked for a self-pay rate. The new bill was below that limit... and Medi Share shared it! The fact that the check the hospital cashed was from us, and not from an insurance company was what saved us. The 2nd time we needed Medi-Share, my husband had cancer and learned about Proton Therapy at **************************. We asked the hospital for the self-pay rate and signed a contract with the hospital that they would not bill Medi Share. We could not delay and paid out of pocket and asked Medi-Share for reimbursement. (I realize that may not be reasonable for some, but there are payment plans). After we paid, I "escalated" the bill to case management and a nurse at Medi-Share handled our claim and saw it through. They reimbursed us everything, minus our household portion. Sometimes you can't take the normal path with bills, but the fact that it is a co-op Christian sharing plan is what sets them apart. They are genuinely there to help you through your medical situation, and they are sincere to adhering to their guidelines that members vote for. It is a blessing to report my husband's cancer is gone, with no side effects...and no bills! The bill was paid before we finished the treatment, and there is NO 80/20 to worry ******** both instances... dealing with hospitals, the self-pay route was the way to go because when they receive the payment and then try to come back with a higher rate, (which they did each time), you can request a copy of the check they cashed and it's not from an insurance company...it's really from you, so they have to honor it. It is not insurance...it has been better than insurance for us, and I would never want regular health insurance again.Christian Care Ministry, Inc.

I have been in the Medi-Share family since 2016 and can not express how grateful I am for them. I had never really ever been sick but maybe a cold or sinus infection until 2019 when I found out I had stage III cancer. They have prayed with me and encouraged that I get a second opinion and the Vice President of Medi-Share even called to let me know they had my back. I am now cancer free and living my life! I chose Medi-share of Christian Care Ministry because they are set up and run almost identical to an insurance company, unlike some other Christian medical co-share ministries. I greatly appreciate their attentive responsiveness to my inquiries and prayers at the end of each call.I had to have hip surgery in January and eye surgery in May. A "concierge" nurse was assigned to me to essentially hold my virtual hand and pray with me as well as connect me with other departments and providers.I have questions about how they figure out portions of bills to apply to the family portion {deductable} and what they pay after. But the bill is always reduced from what I would have to pay as self pay.Christian Care Ministry, Inc.

Thank you, *******, for your thoughtful comments. Once a member's Annual Household Portion (or ***, similar to a deductible) is met, then Medi-Share members share in eligible bills. Any in-network discounts are applied to a bill first, and, until the *** is met, the remaining balance is the member's responsibility. Once the *** is met, then sharing begins. I have been a Medi-Share member for about four months now. I had heard good things about them but was a bit skeptical given the non standard business model but moved ahead on faith. I cannot say enough good things about my experience thus far on multiple levels. The responsivness of the staff is fantastic. The communications and sytems are simple to utilize. Perhaps the greatest thing beyond the better than expected financial impact is the spiritual support. Each time I call we conclude wtih a prayer that focuses on my needs or the needs of those I care the most about. It is so uplifting and creates hope and joy in my day. *** my family, Medi-Share is the best thing ever happened in our lifetime after God. All the negative reviews just might be for political reasons as we are to be persecuted. They have rules to follow, but there is the willingness to help and that's the key. You can't go wrong with the true godly people. I plan to stay with Medi-Share even as a supplement after retirement.Christian Care Ministry, Inc.
