1 starCannot cancel my subscription. They lost my email address so I can't login even if I try to reset the username or password on their login screen. Their phone number gives you ads for a FALL ALERT and their support email responses just say they can't cancel the service unless they have the correct email address. I am meticulous with my email address and password so for them to say they can't find it shows me it's a scam. There's no chat service available. They delivered one week's worth but I can't get them to cancel the rest. Why won't they cancel the subscription?!?

1 starThis is the worst company that I ever dealt with. Starting in November of 2024, orders were not constant, and some orders not delivered at all. They don't miss their payment when they take out the money every week, but where is the product. Isn't this a fraud case.? Not getting service or product that you paid for! How can a company stay in business with these practices! The first time I have called in November 2024, I was told that we don't give refunds. Something needs to be done soon!!Review fromLaurie Z

After trying to resolve this matter with this company which has predatory practices, I want to warn others of my experiences with this company. I began with a membership to Bistro MD. I tried a variety of their food over the course of a couple of weeks and it upset my stomach. I reached out to a few of their dietitians, Morgan and Jessica to discuss. I made the decision to switch to their sister company, Balance. I tried their food for a week and it was too spicy for my stomach. In reviewing my emails, it appears that they push through the next order prior to the previous order being delivered so cancellation or a hold is impossible according to their terms and conditions . These back to back emails on the same day appear as if they are referring to the same order. Today, a box of food that the company automatically ordered for me was delivered. Normally, the company sends emails daily regarding order status. I received none of their usual notifications. I think that they try and push through as many orders as possible before the customer is able to do anything about it . I reached out to supervisor, Chris, regarding this matter. He refused my request for a return shipping label ( for proof that the food was not consumed) and he refused to issue any type of refund on my credit card. I have read the other negative reviews which are similar to my situation. It is my hope that if everyone comes forward, this business will remedy their ways.

We are sorry to hear that you did not have the experience that you anticipated. After reviewing your account I have found that we have cancelled the balance subscription going forward.
When you ordered your Balance meals, you did have to choose whether you wanted a weekly or bi-weekly shipment. We did email you a confirmation of the order at 12:11 AM on 7/5/24. Had you notified us between 7/6/24 and 7/8/24 we could have stopped the shipment as the order did not ship until Tuesday 7/9/24.
You did have the ability to log into your account to view your upcoming orders to choose different meals, skip or cancel anything further.
We are not able to issue a refund or accept return of the package as the order did process and ship as normal and agreed upon when your order was placed.Review fromKika R

1 starAfter numerous tries at attempting to skip weeks then cancel a subscription, I was still charged $194 for foods that their computer picked for me. Foods that I will never eat because I do not eat beef, pork or fish. I'm beyond frustrated with how customer service supervior "********" in ******* dismissed my request to at least change the delivery address or the foods that were shipped out. This company is a disgrace, *****, and money hungry. It seeks to rip off customers with disabilities who followed rules to not receive shipments every week and when we cancel are told it's 'a day too late'. 4 starsI've used Bistro MD since October 2022. A perfect record and great food. They had a good website which they tried to improve in November. It was a total disaster installation with NO backup plan in sight. They should have reinstalled the old system. So far I have not seen at least 10 weekly missed deliveries since. They reimburse you immediately which is great but I am trying to diet and doing well, without these interruptions I would be doing so much better, Just last week my wife did not get her order which was confirmed. One thing they have on their side is the quality of food, once this goes away I am done with Bistro MD. Bistro MD you are on notice. Also *** can offer you solutions instead of losing more business hire people that are qualified and have backup programming.Review fromSavannah J

1 starThis company feels like a literal scam. I was charged multiple times for orders that didn't show, and there is NO apparent customer service. No one ever answers the phone or emails, and the website won't allow me to cancel edit or skip orders. 1 starInitially, for about three weeks, things were great. The food is good, well prepared, healthy... as advertised. Recently i tried to change some of the meals on the website as some items were not to my liking. I had been able to do this with previous orders. The website was failing and wouldn't let me make the changes. I sent an email to customer service explaining this and stating the 3 meals I didn't want and what to replace it with. They canceled my order for the week without any explanation. Then, last week I went to the website to skip these next two weeks as I will not be home for the holidays. The website failed again and i couldn't make these changes online. I tried three times to call customer service, and no one responds... nor do they return messages. I also tried to email support, and no one responds. I received a confirmation for delivery for meals this week which I won't be home to receive. I went so far as to try to cancel my subscription and the website would not allow me to do that. I have become so enraged at the lack of competence that I am disputing the charge with AMEX and have asked them to not pay this merchant again in the future. I would not recommend them.Review fromMM

2 starsAfter 2 weeks delivery of their food I decided I didnt like the food enough to justify the price. The problem is when I try to cancel my subscription while logged into my account it wont let me cancel. It says I cannot cancel because I have a pending charge. After several attempts to call them I finally got through and the customer service rep assured me she would cancel my subscription and email me that confirmation. I never got an email so I had to call back again. I happen to reach the same customer service rep on the phone who assured me once again it was canceled and I will get an email and my account will say inactive when I log in. I received the email but the account is still active. I skipped delivery weeks so they dont keep charging me. I messaged them again because the phone line says they are not taking calls. No response so far. I feel this is a fraudulent business because they do not process the cancellation as promised and they make it difficult to reach them for help.Review fromLeticia S

2 starsI have been getting food delivery with this company for almost a year now with no issues..but they have changed to a new computer system and everything is screwed up now!:( I didn't receive my meals this past Saturday (after they've already taken the money from my credit card) and it puts me in a bind because I only had enough food to last until Saturday( when I was due to get my meals). Calling customer service is a foolish effort as calls are never answered, and neither are my emails. This is disgusting! I want my refund back immediately and I'm never using them again! 1 starI have received three shipments. The first one was correct regarding what I ordered and the food was good. I thought that they were a great solution for me. The second shipment was ALL foods that I had not ordered. I don't eat beef or pork, and there were several dishes containing them. The third shipment arrived yesterday. I had logged in previously and picked all of my meals. Only 4 of the 15 were correct. Again this time, beef, port, tofu? When I have tried to log into my account it denies me access. I have sent two emails to customer service with no reply. I have tried to call the customer service phone number but it states that they are only taking customer questions via email. I feel like I have been scammed! I have blocked further charges from them on my credit card. Terrible customer service and I am stuck with expensive food that I did not order.
