I bought a 2017 Buick Enclave for $8,428 on 11/09/23. The car had hail damage on it but all the lights where clearly undamaged and in the vehicle at the time of purchase. I received the vehicle 11/15/23 and it was missing the passenger tail light. The price of a used tail light is between $160 and $250, and I asked them to meet me in the middle at $205. I was told since it was pick up at the yard with out the tail light they could not compensate me any money.

Even the claim that the vehicle STARTS is NOT true and this is misleading and false which I would not have bid on the vehicle the same amount that I put, this vehicle not starting vs. starting have different monetary value. If SCA Auction was honest and clearly stated that the vehicle stationary and does not start I would have not paid almost 14K for a non working vehicle.

      Hello,

As i mentioned before the site do show that the vehicle *************** as shown in the attached examples from SCA bidding site, please see attached pictures.

SCA claimed in their response that the vehicle RUN howvever the vehicle would not not run nor it drive, and fixing these type of issue requires alot of money which as i mentioned i did not account for this extra cost.

As for the storage charges, no where on the documents i received shows that i have 3 days to pick up the vehicle.

I received the email at night that i was awarded the vehicle as I did not win the bidding immediately which SCA gave me less then 24 hours to pay for the vehicle and pick it up.

      Dear *************************,

We're sorry to hear that you had not a positive experience using our website and service.

When you place a pre-bid, you lock in your maximum bid. During the live auction for the vehicle, our automated system bids on your behalf in small increments to outbid other members. If no one outbids you before your maximum bid is reached, the bidding stops. That's what happened to your bids

.As for the"Buy It Now" option, it is not available on the day of the auction date.

The status 'If bid' means that the reserve price wasn't met and the seller has time to make the final decision. The seller can accept/decline the bid or send a counter offer where the bidder can raise the bid. If the bid is declined, the vehicle can be placed again on the auction or removed.

According to our terms and conditions, 2.7. Cancellation of Membership: You may cancel your Membership at any time by contacting **. No fees paid by you shall be refunded, for any reason whatsoever, in the event you elect to cancel your Account. Member Terms & Conditions - SCA

I bought it on a Wednesday and they expected it to be paid immediately and picked up by Friday when I live in ********. The motorhome cost me *************************************** another 900 in fees (most of which are hidden) which came to *******. In addition to all those fees, they started charging storage fees of 45 a day. I was told to expect to wait 30 DAYS for the Title. So my **** motorhome became a **** motorhome with no title. No title = no Temp tag, no temp tag motorhome cannot be removed from the lot. So if you cannot remove the item from the lot, it accrues storage fees. As long as you owe storage fees, they will not give you the title. If you don't have a title, you cannot remove the item from the lot. This is win-win for them The second motorhome I bought in ******* **********. Same deal, I bout it on Wednesday, had to be paid immediately and picked up by Friday. It was a **** motorhome plus 935 dollars of Auction fees. I paid and got in immediately, even though there is no title for me because they have to send it to ***** and then ***** sends it to me. So, no title= no Temp Tag, or driving permit. The ******* People send the Title to ***** almost right away and ***** said they didn't get it.... I bid on an item solely because it was extremely cheap. I had the high bid all the auction end time, but the auction didn't end like it was supposed to. I sent an email about it to where I was told the item was removed. I replied it was Still on the site. They then said someone used buy now at $24,000 whe the bid was 75. I then asked why someone would do that and why it is still listed as ongoing. They replied because the auction is not finished. I asked how it isn't finished if someone clicked buy now and no response. I have screen shots of the item and verifying what I said and have the emails as well.

Taking into account the case, please pay attention that the Seller can remove the item from the auction without any explanation. According to our terms and conditions:

3.2.  Bids: We are unable to guarantee that the Seller may accept your bid, and the Seller may reject a Members bid for any reason in IAAs sole and exclusive discretion. You agree that we shall have no liability in the event that a bid you place is rejected.
Some vehicles have a "Buy It Now" option, where the seller is willing to sell the vehicle immediately at the price listed. The item was back to the auction with Buy It Now price of $24,000. Someone purchased the vehicle according to the price listed thus causing the items removing from another auction.

I purchased a vehicle through SCA, a broker who works with IAA, back in early January 2022.A couple months went by and didn't receive the title. Pursuant to ******** consumer law, titles must be delivered within 30 days. I called about 3 months down the road, and they admitted to losing the title, and they could not obtain another one. We agreed on a "buyback" deal, and refunding me my money. SCA sent me a legal document to sign, which was a "do not sue" ********** Then mother 4 months went by and I finally called them to figure out where my refund was and why they didn't pick up the car. A girl named ************ contacted me saying they don't ever buy back vehicles. I have over 5 months storage I have been paying on a non running vehicle with no title. They won't reimburse me on that either. STAY AWAY FROM SCA AT ALL COSTS!! Hopefully this finds the owner of SCA well. It seems they have a bad track record of shady deals.Contacted an attorney and it looks like an easy civil case for me. An easy fix, now turning into an ordeal.

I bought a 2020 Tesla Model Y from SCA Auction in June 2022. The total purchase price was $49,010. The car was sold at auction and came with a **************** Certificate. The issue is when I tried to register the car, the salvage certificate is not registered with ******** or listed in the National Title Database. The vehicle only has its original ********** license listed in the national title database. This means that no state will register and/or title this car since the sale document provided is not valid. I've reached out to SCA to try and resolve this and have been told it's not their problem since they provided the salvage certificate. I've pointed out and even provided communication from the *** that states the certificate they provided is invalid. SCA has refused to take action. So have a car I paid $49K for in June and have not been able to register it and cannot do anything with the car until this issue is resolved. I believe this is a fraudulent sale and would like SCA to take the vehicle back and return my money.

Hello, we understand your concerns regarding your title and the auction is working on fixing this issue. SCA is not able to resolve this, only the auction from which this vehicle was purchased is able to work with the seller to update the ** records. We have notified the auction and they are actively working to resolve the issue with the title. Once the process is completed, ** records will recognize that the title was successfully transferred, and you will be able to proceed with registering the vehicle.

I am rejecting this response because: It is almost 4 months since the vehicle was purchased. At which point will SCA cancel the sale and take the vehicle back? I purchased the car to drive, I am not a dealer, I have $50k tied to a car I cannot use. Additionally, the customer service response and lack of update even though I've sent multiple emails to ********************* is beyond acceptable. I am being financially harmed by this transaction since I've had to rent a car whenever my wife needs our other car and since I cannot dispose of this car to get a new one. Simple saying they are working on it is not an answer. I need a timeframe for resolution and alternative actions if resolution cannot be reached in that timeframe.

When I tried to register the car, the local *** conducted a title search through the national title database and found that there was no record of the title being transferred to **, and only the original ********** title was listed in the database. I went back to SCA to help resolve this since the car cannot be registered in any state with the document they provided. SCA basically told me to go pound dirt - that they completed their end of the sale as described by providing a ** salvage certificate, even if that certificate is invalid. This is even after providing SCA the response from the *** that stated the salvage certificate was not valid. I paid $48K for a car that I cannot use and SCA refuses to help. I am in the process of filing a complaint with the Florida state attorney's office and recommend that BBB list this company as fraudulent.

August 1st. I went on SCA Auctions to bid on a car. I had to send them a copy of my drivers license and register to bid. After I registered they told me in order to join a live auction i had to up my membership. I did so and paid the $200. Then i tried to go to the live auction to bid on the car and they wouldn't allow me to telling me i had to deposit money to bid. i knew i had been scammed at this point. i called the number from my cell phone lady answered spoke broken english and hung up on me when i told her what happened. I tried back nobody answered. I called again on my work phone the same lady answered and hung up on me again. i can not see a live auction or bid as i was told i could if i paid the $200 membership
