We have major water damage in our home. Restoration Specialists is supposed to do the repairs. There sub contractor did a lousy job laying tile in our home. Pieces are raised and one is chipped. Tile needs to be replaced. Also they keep pulling the sub contractors from our home so they cannot complete the repairs. We have been in a hotel for 6 weeks. We are financially drained. We are senior citizens and are being taken advantage of. Also I asked for a copy of there license and insurance because we live in a Retirement Community and our condo office requires it and they won't submit a copy to them. I'm not sure they are a legit company.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/06/30) */ We obtained a signed a work order on 6-2-22, we found out that the funds from the carrier We reached an agreed price with the TPA on 6-3-22 however on 6-14-22 we found out that the funds were not enough from the carrier. We rewrote our estimate to a lower amount and made financial arrangements with them with a draw schedule. We received our deposit to start work n 6-14-22. We are about 90% complete and have not received our second draw payment at this time. We are working to have all items completed over the next couple of days. Our home would have been completed but Restoration Specialist accidentally punctured a pipe in our home which caused another leak and has delayed us getting back into our home. They are taking responsibility and fixing the problem, however it has cost us more out of pocket expense for hotel for another week. We would like to get reimbursed for our hotel expense from Restoration Specialist. We are aware that they lowered there price for our repairs originally and we do appreciate it. We have completed the work except we agreed that we would change three more tiles to 100% completion. There is a gap in drywall that needs to be fixed in master bathroom and correct racks to be installed under kitchen sink and toilet paper holder in master bathroom mounted on wall keeps coming loose when taking holder out to put roll of toilet paper on it and it needs to be fixed Business Response /* (4000, 20, 2022/08/15) */ we will contact the customer this week and schedule a worker to complete the punch list Consumer Response /* (4200, 22, 2022/08/16) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) We are waiting on Restoration Specialist to complete the work on our home. They said they would try to get the work complete this Thursday or Friday. We are waiting for them to contact us and let us know which day they are coming to our home to finish the work. Business Response /* (4000, 26, 2022/08/30) */ We met with the customer Friday last week and completed a punch list obtained a completion certificate. The customer then contacted ******* on the weekend and had a couple more items she wanted done. We are going to schedule another day with a service crew to take of care of these items for the customer. Consumer Response /* (4200, 28, 2022/09/01) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) ******** was supposed to be at our house Monday morning at 9 and did not come to our house. I called him and he said not today. Then I spoke to him Wedbesday at 10 am and he said he would be at our house in 1 hour and didn't come but had John call us in the afternoon to tell us he was stopping by but John called our home phone number which we no longer have. So we gave up 2 days staying home waiting on them. There is a failure of communication on there part. Business Response /* (4000, 34, 2022/09/20) */ Our staff met with the customer and took care of all of her concerns and on September 16 she signed a certificate of satisfaction. Restoration Specialist finally finished all the repairs on the punch list and they guarantee there work fir 3 years. As long as they abide by there contract we are ok with everything.
