My name is *************************** and I live in ********* . Recently restoration specialists fix a mold issue. Only 45 square of drywall and insulation had to removed and replaced. From contacting insurance company on October 27 our repairs didn't get finalized until May 28 when carpet got installed. When they did estimated work comment was made they weren't going to make enough money. This is company our insurance uses. We were told to find a company for carpet and installation because they didn't have a bonded installer. Which we did. In January I called and was told our order was cancelled. We didn't nor did our agent. No apologies at all. We had to be put back in rotation. We adjusted our schedules to be here and at least 3 times got pushed back. One day they didn't even call. My husband called them.We went to their lecanto office about 3 weeks ago to sign the check. But we had questions about the breakdown. One charge was $220 for content manipulation. They never moved anything. ********************* was our contact. He told us to stop nickel and dining the bill cause insurance company was paying. Really? I think people like him are part of insurance issues. He also said we volatile. I never raised my voice or swore. I was disappointed and disgusted. He also commented again on not wanting to do the job.I refused to sign the check until they checked into the bill, told him I was calling agent and left. He didn't want me too. Bill was adjusted slightly. *** also told us if we refused they would put a lien on the house. ***'s attitude was abhorrent and there's no excuse. I didn't deserve any of the things he said. There should have been an apology a long time ago.The subcontractors were very good when they did finally got here.Word of mouth can be more effective than advertising. I would never recommend them. We unfortunately had to pay the bill to avoid a lien. *** needs to learn people skills and how to apologize when he's wrong

After 17 years of not missing an insurance payment I have some damage to my house from the last hurricane. *** says they'll fix it and we signed a contract. For some reason they send me a check for about $12,000 and then a year later they tell me I'm on my own. They understand I'm crippled and mentally unstable because of head and body injuries. But you know they don't care. I wouldn't trust them to do anything. I gave them my $2,100 deductible and they took it from there and didn't do it **** thing---except lie to me. Next step is to complain to the BBB send a letter to ***** the Attorney General for Florida, along with many letters to other Florida officials.

I had a tree fall on my roof on 4/15/23. I contacted Restoration Specialists in Lecanto and they scheduled an estimate on 5/28. I had to recontact them on 5/3 and ask for the estimate. I received it the nest day and submitted to my insurance. I received final approval from insurance on 5/19 and called and advised them the repairs were a go. It is now August 1 and still no repair only loads of excuses. I have never had an experience like this in my lifetime. Last contact I was told that they couldn't do the job within the insurance companies approval amount which was within a few hundred dollars of their estimate, and this was 3 months after the fact. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company, the other reviews are all true. There is a lot more to the story but they don't deserve the time for me to write it all. If I could leave 0 stars it would be more fitting.

As the insured stated toward the end of his complaint, “there is a lot more to the story” than the one side that is presented there. The insured did indeed contact us to provide an estimate for repairs as stated in the complaint. We provided the estimate in a timely manner acceptable to all Insurance Carriers Service Level Agreement Timeframes. Reviewing claims with adjusters is not a timely process. It took several days to go through the review process with the insurance carrier and get them to approve the claim. Once the claim was approved, the insurance carrier had reduced the amount that they would pay out for the insureds claim by several hundred dollars. After the insured called to inform us that they had received the approval and the amount that they approved, he proceeded to negotiate an even lower price with us to complete his repairs. To sum up all communications thereafter, I had to go back to my Project Manager and ask is we could complete this job with the new, reduced budget from the insured. It took several days for the Project Manager to reply as he was out of the office due to health reasons. All of which was communicated to the insured to explain the delay. The insured was understanding. Upon the return of the Project Manager to the office, he reviewed the insureds new budget and informed me that we could not complete the job for the new, reduced amount. The Project Manager did offer me alternative plan to offer the insured to help complete the repairs outside of our company. Once I contacted the insured, I explained to him that our company could not complete the job and then offered another solution for the repairs at his residence. It was at this point that the insured became upset and would not consider us for hire. Knowing for the last two weeks that our company would not make one cent from the time and efforts already put into providing all the information needed for the insured’s estimate and repairs, our staff continued to work with the insured to provide solutions to repair his residence. It was when the insured could not get us to complete the job within his budget that he became unwilling to work with us anymore. Our office believes that we went above and beyond for the insured and are happy to provide any additional information if needed. Thank you for your time.

This customer was paid by their insurance carrier for our services and we had to take them to court to get our payment.
