My name is *************************** and I live in ********* . Recently restoration specialists fix a mold issue. Only 45 square of drywall and insulation had to removed and replaced. From contacting insurance company on October 27 our repairs didn't get finalized until May 28 when carpet got installed. When they did estimated work comment was made they weren't going to make enough money. This is company our insurance uses. We were told to find a company for carpet and installation because they didn't have a bonded installer. Which we did. In January I called and was told our order was cancelled. We didn't nor did our agent. No apologies at all. We had to be put back in rotation. We adjusted our schedules to be here and at least 3 times got pushed back. One day they didn't even call. My husband called them.We went to their lecanto office about 3 weeks ago to sign the check. But we had questions about the breakdown. One charge was $220 for content manipulation. They never moved anything. ********************* was our contact. He told us to stop nickel and dining the bill cause insurance company was paying. Really? I think people like him are part of insurance issues. He also said we volatile. I never raised my voice or swore. I was disappointed and disgusted. He also commented again on not wanting to do the job.I refused to sign the check until they checked into the bill, told him I was calling agent and left. He didn't want me too. Bill was adjusted slightly. *** also told us if we refused they would put a lien on the house. ***'s attitude was abhorrent and there's no excuse. I didn't deserve any of the things he said. There should have been an apology a long time ago.The subcontractors were very good when they did finally got here.Word of mouth can be more effective than advertising. I would never recommend them. We unfortunately had to pay the bill to avoid a lien. *** needs to learn people skills and how to apologize when he's wrong

After 17 years of not missing an insurance payment I have some damage to my house from the last hurricane. *** says they'll fix it and we signed a contract. For some reason they send me a check for about $12,000 and then a year later they tell me I'm on my own. They understand I'm crippled and mentally unstable because of head and body injuries. But you know they don't care. I wouldn't trust them to do anything. I gave them my $2,100 deductible and they took it from there and didn't do it **** thing---except lie to me. Next step is to complain to the BBB send a letter to ***** the Attorney General for Florida, along with many letters to other Florida officials.

I had a tree fall on my roof on 4/15/23. I contacted Restoration Specialists in Lecanto and they scheduled an estimate on 5/28. I had to recontact them on 5/3 and ask for the estimate. I received it the nest day and submitted to my insurance. I received final approval from insurance on 5/19 and called and advised them the repairs were a go. It is now August 1 and still no repair only loads of excuses. I have never had an experience like this in my lifetime. Last contact I was told that they couldn't do the job within the insurance companies approval amount which was within a few hundred dollars of their estimate, and this was 3 months after the fact. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company, the other reviews are all true. There is a lot more to the story but they don't deserve the time for me to write it all. If I could leave 0 stars it would be more fitting.

As the insured stated toward the end of his complaint, “there is a lot more to the story” than the one side that is presented there. The insured did indeed contact us to provide an estimate for repairs as stated in the complaint. We provided the estimate in a timely manner acceptable to all Insurance Carriers Service Level Agreement Timeframes. Reviewing claims with adjusters is not a timely process. It took several days to go through the review process with the insurance carrier and get them to approve the claim. Once the claim was approved, the insurance carrier had reduced the amount that they would pay out for the insureds claim by several hundred dollars. After the insured called to inform us that they had received the approval and the amount that they approved, he proceeded to negotiate an even lower price with us to complete his repairs. To sum up all communications thereafter, I had to go back to my Project Manager and ask is we could complete this job with the new, reduced budget from the insured. It took several days for the Project Manager to reply as he was out of the office due to health reasons. All of which was communicated to the insured to explain the delay. The insured was understanding. Upon the return of the Project Manager to the office, he reviewed the insureds new budget and informed me that we could not complete the job for the new, reduced amount. The Project Manager did offer me alternative plan to offer the insured to help complete the repairs outside of our company. Once I contacted the insured, I explained to him that our company could not complete the job and then offered another solution for the repairs at his residence. It was at this point that the insured became upset and would not consider us for hire. Knowing for the last two weeks that our company would not make one cent from the time and efforts already put into providing all the information needed for the insured’s estimate and repairs, our staff continued to work with the insured to provide solutions to repair his residence. It was when the insured could not get us to complete the job within his budget that he became unwilling to work with us anymore. Our office believes that we went above and beyond for the insured and are happy to provide any additional information if needed. Thank you for your time.

Restoration Specialists with held $1,234.64 from our share of the insurance check. We agreed on the final amount of refund for our flooring before signing the insurance check over. They told us we would have our check in a few days. They sent their guy over telling us they weren't giving us the full amount after 1 month of us asking for our check. Reasons were from things that were never discussed with us at all - one was from mitigation (this was already paid for in a previous insurance check) and the other reason was for 3rd party charges. There is nothing on our change orders that refers to any of this,

In reviewing the file the change order dated 08-02-21 the customer had to pay her deductible(2000.00) for a check for 6621.56 to us on the change order signed 9-9-21. The deductible was not collected and refund check was for 5,386.92. Paul our estimator put a note in the file on his last week that worked for us. We also removed flooring at insureds request that was not invoiced for that would be part of the estimate of the flooring replacement that we did not do.

On our work authorization the insured is to pay the deductible upon signing of the document. Our Finance Manager reviewed the file and noticed that this was never paid and had Paul ****** meet with the customer and go over this. Their deductible is 2000.00 and he only deducted the 1234.64 instead of the 2000.00.

I have a copy of the change order given to us on August 2, 2021. It states we would be refunded $6,622.56. On the paper I wrote was discussed with Paul ****** at that time. Our flooring allowance amount per USAA was $9,362.19. This can be confirmed with USAA and our adjuster. The adjuster said the allowance probably wouldn't come out to the exact amount. Here's the breakdown:

      Flooring allowance $ 9,362.19

      Difference in cost. $. <740.63>
      Per Paul ******

      New Total. $8,621.56
      Less Deductible . <$2,000.00>
      Amount Due. $6,621.56
      Vazoulas'

We were told we would have our refund check in a few days. After following up several times, Paul ****** arrives at my door with a check for $5,386.92 on 9/9/21 and a new change order dated 8/2/2021 which I saw for the first time on 9/9/21 stating they withheld our deductible and that's why they only were returning $5,386.92. I told Paul that was wrong. I was upset. The only way I could get our portion of the refund check was to sign the change order. They completely disregarded we paid our deductible. Then Paul said they came back to take up the rest of our damaged floor. This is true. But when they first came, our floor was declared unsalvageable and they didn't remove the whole floor. Part of mitigation is removing what is going to be replaced. Mitigation expenses were paid by USAA in another check. This doesn't apply to the amount in question. If you need to see the documents or need our adjuster's contact info. We can provide it. Also all this info is part of the permanent records at USAA.

this company unprofessional and price gouging example they charged $2077to put a tarp on a portion of my roof approximately 1/3 of it other roofing companies said it should have costed $300-$750 what a difference they sent a guy named Zach to give me an estimate to fix the roof and damage to bathroom ceiling He said because of mold he had to do a "mold protocol" I told this to my insurance agent and he had never heard of this and asked for pictures.by the way he entered my house no mask The next day Zach developed covid -like symptoms which I found out by his supervisor which necessitated me to get a screening for covid-I am 67 yrs. old and medically unstable so I didn't think this business was using good safe practices regarding covid. I made several calls to Zach and his supervisor with no answers to my calls finally I was able to speak to Zach's supervisor expressed my dissatisfaction about Zach with no avail this is when they finally placed a tarp on my roof, mind you no treatment for the mold in my bathroom which I had another person to remove. The ceiling still needs repair as well as roof. The company says They put a lien on my house for the$2077 for nonpayment-they never sent pictures of roof to my insurance company after repetitive requests by me and my insurance. My insurance closed the claim in September Now they are asking for their check from insurance company from me -it seems they found some pictures of the roof and insurance paid me and now they want their money Were the pictures of my roof? they had never come back to take pictures was this fraud? In any case this is worst company I have ever met

I am Zach's supervisor and took a call from Ms ***** when Zach was out sick asking for emergency tarping to be done.. Zach was out sick at the time and could not return to work until he tested negative for Covid, which he did. We would never send out workers that had any symptoms of covid.

Ms ***** asked me to call her adjuster and see if her roof could be tarped. I contacted the insurance adjuster that was filling in for her adjuster and we were informed that Ms ***** would only have to pay $88.00 and the carrier would pay the balance and please proceed with the emergency tarping. The insurance company uses a data base that is the standard of the industry and they agreed to pay accordingly. We dispatched an emergency crew from another office and dispatched a supervisor to get the work order signed. We tarped her entire roof because of the poor condition of the roof instead of just installing a tarping on the section that we leaking (probably what the other roofers were quoting). The work was done on August 6, 2021 and the carrier has still not paid us and it has been 4 months. We have 90 days to secure a lien (our only insurance that we will get paid with out going to court). We have contacted the carrier many times and they said that they are sending out a check, but still have not received it to date. I am not sure but I believe they have denied the repairs for Ms *****'s damages and mold since it has leaked over period of time and was due to the poor condition and lack maintenance.

Zach's supervisor must be mistaken, the guys they sent me only tarped 1/4 of the roof. Another misinformation in communication Zac supervisor share with me that Zach was in contact with persons that had covid when I called him about Zac not returning my phone calls BTW Zac wore no mask when he was in my house
This company has problems with communication and fraudulent billing certainly not a company to turn for help
