I have received threatening phone calls from both Steven B*** and Jon R****. Steven has posed as a lawyer with my husband as well as calling my husband the * slur. This is against the law. No debt collector should be posing as a lawyer. They also have contacted my mother in law at work regarding my debt. This has broken HIPPA from both their client that they are collecting for as well as this office. They discussed my health and the nature of this collection. My "debt" which has never been validated nor have they ever sent a formal letter and giving me the 30 days required to respond to this "collection" is inaccurate amongst the practices they have used against me to try to get me to pay for something that isn't accurate. I am requested for a resolution based on using the * slur and posing as a lawyer that this debt collector does not contact me, harass me and remove my debt from my credit.

      Business response

      02/21/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/01/26) */ Total lies. Ms.******* has literally NEVER responded to phone calls or letters from this office attempting to help her resolve a debt owed to ********************** All calls and notes are logged, time-stamped and dated. Ms.*******'s allegations are impossible because she refuses to communicate with our office. The first letter notifying Ms.******* of the debt in question was mailed to her on JANUARY,13 2020 (2 years ago now). She failed to respond & the letter was not returned in the mail & was therefore received by her. To claim she is unaware of the debt is untrue. Attached are documents evidencing the debt she owes. She clearly signed the Statement of Financial Responsibility agreeing that the services rendered are her responsibility to pay for. Ms.******* recently filed a false "dispute" with the credit bureaus claiming specifically "Company will delete". Neither our office nor the creditor's office has indicated the debt on her credit would be voluntarily deleted without payment so this is just another lie, just as the false allegations she has made against our office. Ms.******* - as before - is welcome to call our office at 877-680-6064 to discuss her alleged dispute and have a conversation about how she wishes to resolve the obligation, but again, up to this point she has failed to do so. Making completely false allegations towards our office will not exonerate her from the debt.

I called this collection agency to handle my debt twice. Both times the guy handling my account, I think his name is John? Not 100% sure. He's very rude, insulting and lies on the phone regarding what payment amount is owed as well as he references the contract I signed with the client he is collecting money for, though, when I ask a question regarding said contract, he diverts the conversation and calls me rude names and doesn't allow for me to get an answer to a legal question. Also, he does not state this is an attempt to collect a debt; he just answers the phone, and starts being rude, incompetent, and doesn't allow for the accurate amount to be disclosed, therefore, leaving me without paying it since the amount is different each time. This leaves me very frustrated, and angry since he's happy to attempt to ruin my credit score, and said that on the first call... Very unprofessional organization, and I hope you and your team will thoroughly evaluate their poor business model, team, ethics, and professionalism.

      12/17/2021

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/12/01) */ Mr. ******** has repeatedly refused to pay his debt owed to Tech Talent South. Each time he contacts our office, he is extremely belligerent and aggressive forcing various agents to disconnect the call. Last time he spoke to Jon ****** Mr. ******** called him a "******* *******" and to "Get the **** Off of Your High-Horse". It's interesting that Mr. ******** is attempting to lecture this office on professionalism. Ethan's position is such that he should not have to pay the debt because he apparently became unemployed. This of course does not vacate the singed contract he has with Tech Talent South, nor exonerate him from the debt. Mr. ******** was offered a settlement to resolve this debt, which would save him over $300, but up to this point he has refused a resolution. We are more than happy to help him save money and settle the debt or to pay the full amount on a payment plan that fits his budget.

My complaint is with Melissa ******* She threatened my livelihood and well-being. There has been no mailed correspondence to my home address after she initially contacted me just an email and texts. To which I provided none of this personal information to her. I have yet to receive a mailed physical notice to my home address and she contacted me Oct 15. Then when I requested that she no longer text or email me she continued to text me back. "Debt collectors may not tell you that you will be arrested if you do not pay; that they will seize, garnish, attach, or sell your property or wages unless the collection agency or creditor intends to do so and has a legal right to do so; or that a lawsuit will be filed against you, when they have no legal right to file or do not intend to file such a suit." as stated by the FL attorney general above.

      Business response

      12/16/2021

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2021/11/18) */ An initial demand notice was sent to **** ****** *** - Ms. *****'s address on September 15, 2021. She did not respond to the written communication. The supporting documentation validating the debt was also mailed to this address which Ms. ***** lists as current in this complaint. Ms. ***** was advised that should she refuse to pay a debt she owes to Platinum Fitness - Cape Coral, that the debt may negatively affect her credit score. Furthermore, the creditor (Platinum Fitness), not HF Holdings, reserves the right to file a law suit in small claims court to protect their interests. Should the creditor win in court and be awarded a civil money judgment, that would give them the recourse to attempt actions such as wage garnishments. This is not a threat, it is an explanation of civil procedure which the Gym Ms. ***** is indebted to. Attached is Ms. *****'s signed contract and unpaid invoice - which was previously mailed to her. Our goal is to provide Ms. ***** with an opportunity to resolve the matter amicably and to protect her credit file. HF Holdings will not longer communicate with Ms. *****, per her request. Consumer Response /* (3000, 10, 2021/11/26) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) This agent is in violation of 15 USC 1692g Because they were to notify me of this in writing 5 days prior I was not. Please provide physical evidence of postal service notification. Also when Melissa provided me with "information" there was never a statement of IF but WHEN. As though everything is a definite and not a possible. Please review your records as you state all calls are recorded for purposes as such. I have not received any correspondence from the company in the month of September or October or November. As stated " Thats ok. When you are sued, additional fees will be added and they will garnish wages, seize assets and freeze up and extract from your bank account through enforcement on an involuntary basis" this is her response text to me. There was not a notice of education or explanation as to what will occur. Business Response /* (4000, 12, 2021/11/29) */ The initial demand notice was issued on 09/15/2021 and not responded to. The letter was not returned in the mail either. On October 29, 2021 Ms. ***** offered to pay a very small portion of the debt which Platinum Fitness Cape Coral would not accept as a full settlement of the debt they claim is owed. Given that Platinum Fitness Cape Coral is the current and original creditor, HF can only accept settlement amounts as authorized by the Gym.

My Mother, *************, received a collection notice from HF Holdings for $165.00 dated 8/20/21. They are trying to collect on behalf of **** ********s, LLC of Dalton, OH. (I do have POA for *************). **** was supposed to deliver a carport the first week of May, 2021. The order was verbal on the phone and no mention was made about the deposit not being refunded if the carport was not delivered. They didn't deliver, and stopped answering calls regarding the carport. On May 23, 2021 ******** Card was contacted and the $165.00 deposit placed 4-7-2021 was disputed since no carport was ever received and no contact could be made with ****. ******** refunded the $165.00 and closed it's investigation on 7-18-21. I have tried to contact both **** ********s and HF Holdings and they will not return my calls. This money is not owed and the billing needs to cease.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/09/01) */ We have not purchased the debt. ***** ******** claims Ms.****** owes $165. We have received no phone calls, letters or otherwise from anyone. Why did the claimant not submit a BBB complaint against the creditor, ***** ********s? Our understanding is Ms.****** filed a charge back on the card she used so the money has been refunded to Ms.******. The claimant should reach out to the creditor directly. Our file is CLOSED. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/09/02) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) We did call you. You were supposed to call back but didn't. You sent a bill threatening to possibly go to court for the $165.00. You are correct that we got our money back from the credit card company. If the file is closed that is great. Just don't send any more debt notices to my Mother. We have also contacted ***** and have requested they stop demanding payment as well. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2021/09/10) */ As previously advised, the file was previously closed and our office considers this matter entirely resolved. Kindly direct any additional correspondence to ***** ********s as the issue originated with them. This office is not acting as their agent or otherwise and we can provide no additional information.
