**Horrible Experience - Avoid This Hospital at All Costs**My experience at this hospital was a nightmare. My autistic son split his head open at school, and urgent care directed us to this children's hospital for specialist care and sedation, given his condition. Upon arrival, the doctor was rude and dismissive, telling me they do not sedate children. When I requested a child life specialist, I was told they didnt have one. They applied numbing cream to my sons head, then left us waiting for nearly two hours. When they finally returned, they informed me they didnt have the staff to hold my son down, so I had to restrain him myself. After the staples were put in, they left us in the room for another hour, promising to bring pain medication. My son, confused and in pain, became physically violent because he couldnt understand why I was restraining him. To make matters worse, they gave him a popsicle without consulting me, which contained an allergen. This traumatic experience didnt end at the hospital. My son now requires additional therapy to address the behavioral issues caused by this treatment. **** also had to pay for several visits where no work could be performed due to his overwhelming fear. When it was time to have the staples removed, I returned, assuming the billing would be bundled. I spoke with a floor supervisor about our previous experience, it seems any complaints made on the floor are ignored. Despite my grievances, I received six separate bills from the hospital, urgent care, and physicians. Later, I learned I needed to open a case with risk management, which proved just as frustrating.Risk managements investigation was a joke. They claimed they dont offer sedation due to risks and apologized for not offering a child life specialist, ignoring the fact that they gave my son something he was allergic to. After months of trying to resolve this, the hospital sent my bills to collections. This was the worst medical experience of my life.
