1 starthought I was making a reservation with the Hotel directly. When I got the email confirmation, I discovered the reservation was through this company instead and the cost ballooned somehow. There was also a separate $19.99 charge on my credit card. Then when I cancelled, they told me it would take at least 7 days to get the refund. Note, the charge was immediate though. This company should be put out of business for their shady practices.Review fromRebecca L

1 starI think Reservations.com is running a dishonest, misleading possibly illegal operation.
I made a reservation for the ***** hotel in Duluth, Minnesota. I went directly to their website but somehow, according to the staff at *****, Reservations.com has a pop up on the ***** website that leads customers to their site, right off the main ***** reservation page.
I made a reservation, thinking I was working directly with *****, but the reservation was rerouted to Reservations.com. The confirmation they sent me looks like it is from ***** - I have screen shots of this. However, it wasn't actually from ***** and Reservations.com charged me over $100 more on a line titled "Tax Recovery and fees". Again, because it appeared I was on the ***** website, I thought it was Duluth tourism taxes.
The staff at ***** said they do not know how Reservations.com is "hijacking" their site, but it is costly to customers.

1 starDisguised as hotel I was attempting to make direct reservations. Left a day early due to weather. They said would send for a review. Review completed 1 month later resulted in no refund. If we would have known we would have stayed the day since had to pay anyway. Stood near hotel clerk as representative called to confirm we were leaving. Clerk shared that if booked directly through hotel we would have been issued a refund. Company disguises themselves as the actual hotel on the internet. Do not recommend this company to anyone.Review fromKathryn M

1 starNot shocking to see all the other reviews saying the same thing that happened to me. I also thought I was booking directly with the hotel only to get there and find out it was through reservations.com - shame on me for not noticing BUT I was DIRECTLY ON the hotels website when I booked so I have no idea how it happened. THEN reservations.com didn't send out payment information so I had to pay for the hotel again in person AND now they are saying that they paid the hotel and the hotel charges are just a hold... they are not, they have cleared...I have a receipt showing full payment AGAIN. When I told the person on the phone that they hung up on me.Review fromHarry B

1 starI attempted to make a reservation at harass Laughlin through harass web site. When I clicked on the web site it switched me to reservations. Com. It said that price would be $65. After I put in my credit card number it charged me $107. I tried to cancel the reservation and was informed the the $20 booking fee was not refundable. After much research I talked directly to Harahs and was told that I would have to deal with reservations. Com.Review fromRichard W

1 starWe frequently travel to Fairfax, VA to visit our son and stay at the********** Inn by ******** Fairfax Merrifield. On May 16, 2022 I made a reservation on what I thought was the ******** web site for lengthy stay in July, 2022. Shortly thereafter I received a text from my credit card company (****) notifying me of the full charge for this reservation. In checking my email I saw the confirmation and realized I had made the reservation on Reservations.Com site. This was the first I became aware of the policy that the payment would be made in full at time of the reservation and that "the hotel's cancelation policy which is: This reservation is non-refundable." I immediately called the Reservations.Com Customer Support call center to request the reservation be cancelled. Representative said she would cancel but could not guarantee a refund of the $3300 deposit. She explained that the non-refund policy was that of the hotel and that I should contact the hotel to get the OK to refund. She said to send to the Reservations.Com call center the name and contact information of the hotel employee who OK's the refund. On May 17, I contacted the********** Inn Ops Manager who immediately agreed to cancel the reservation and to authorize a full refund. He then emailed me a screen shot of the cancellation and written confirmation..I continued to receive apparently computer-generated emails from either Customer Service or the Billing party that said they were working on the request but did not acknowledge ever receiving the Hotel's OK to refund. I called them on May 25th and they said they had no record of my email which contained the hotel's OK. I resubmitted it. At one point they said they had contacted the hotel which would not honor the refund. This was not true. At this point I realize they will not refund and I will try to succeed with a disputed charge with ****************.Review fromApril B

1 starI thought I was on the property website for******** inn and did not realize I landed on reservations.com, which is a TOTAL scam. I ended up paying 159.42 for a room that they were advertising for 107.00. Nowhere did I notice I was paying for a nonrefundable room and I certainly didn't notice that they were charging me an additional 19.99 "reservation fee". I called them right after it was booked when I saw the total and they refused to give me a refund. Literally, they would not budge even after I asked for a supervisor. Worst company, if you can call them that, that I have ever worked with in my 48 years of life. This is NOTHING more than a scam!Review fromBlaine K.

1 starOne star is way too high for this company! Absolutely terrible customer service!!! Booked what was supposed to be a wheelchair accessible room, understanding the reservation was non refundable. The reservation details didn't reflect the room to be wheelchair accessible, so I called reservations.com and the assured me it was wheelchair accessible. Because it is imperative I have this type of room, I contacted the hotel directly and confirmed the room was not wheelchair accessible. I brought this to reservations.com's attention and their only reply was that it was non-refundable. I filed a dispute with them and, after review, they are still refusing a refund. Charges have now been disputed through my credit card company. In attempting to resolve this issue I was disconnected 3 times and dealt with people who struggled speaking English. A completely frustrating experience driven by reservations.com's overriding concern of putting profit ahead of fairness and customer service.Review fromCathy T

1 starI am an 83 yer old grandmother who booked a room in August for my granddaughters wedding. I went to the hotel site- Hilton Garden Inn in Maple Grove, MN , saw the reservation desk site and booked it. I printed out the receipt and saw additional charges of $145 which I had no knowledge of until i paid for the room. I quickly-within 5 min- cancelled the reservation only to learn that there would be no refund and of course no room booking since I cancelled it. I have tried calling them with no luck. I want to register a complaint with the BBB. since I had no reservation now, I went to the wedding site which is where I should have looked first and booked a room. $284 instead of $396. So now I have a reservation but am still out the $396.56 from reservations.com Whaat can I do???
