My uncle thought he was booking a 2 night stay for my parents directly with Marriott but booked a 2 night reservation through this site instead. I called reservations.com to reschedule the reservation PRIOR to the scheduled stay due to a change in my family member's scheduled surgery. When I called, I was on hold waiting for a representative for almost 25 minutes. The representative who answered the phone was not interested in helping me reschedule and told me my parents would be charged the service fee for reservations.com in addition to the 2 night stay (almost $600 total). When I tried to ask additional questions to figure out if there were other options to change or cancel the reservation (a partial penalty would have been acceptable to me), I was disconnected (and assume he hung up on me as he was clearly annoyed with my request to change the reservation. This is my 1 and only BBB review ever, but I feel strongly about this racket/less than ethical company which is taking advantage of seniors like my Uncle and my parents.

They don't even deserve 1 Star rating. I booked a hotel for 12/10/22 in Temecula, CA @ Holiday Inn. I found out it wasn't such a good deal in the end adding up to $60 more expensive than booking it directly through the Hotel itself after taxes and extra fees they add at the end. When I went to check in at the the Front Desk my booking didn't show up anywhere in there computer system. The man assisting me said he didn't recognize this company I booked through which was concerning. He told me to contact Reservations.com directly. I ended up talking to a man in customer service that told me that my reservation had been made for the day before and that I was charged as a no show. I continued to tell him that wasn't correct that I had booked it for the the 12/10. He told me that because I was the one that had booked it on my end, it would be fault and that there was nothing that could be done. Instead of trying to help me resolve the problem he was more focused on pressing me to confess that I had booked it and that it was my mistake which meant I would be fully charged. He was intense with trying to make me admit that it was my fault instead of trying to help me. I asked to speak to a supervisor which didn't help at all in the end. Instead she told me that there wasn't anything they could do & that it was my fault and I was a no show. I told her that this wasn't right and that I had booked the room for 12/10 and I was now stranded without a hotel in Temecula. She ended up being extremely rude and told me that we were going around in circles and HUNG UP on me. She had the nerve to email me saying it was a pleasure to talk to me and to not hesitate to contact her if I had anymore questions!! The worst Customer service! I really advise not to book through this company. We called my bank to dispute the charge. They are a Scam Company.

I booked a hotel for a weekend in NYC. Thought I was on the hotel's website but in reality was Reservations.com mirroring that hotel's website. They emailed me a few days ago to say that the hotel I booked is closing a wing for repairs. (I confirmed that this is true) They offered another nearby hotel for the same price. I accepted via e-mail as I was asked to do. Never got a confirmation e-mail. I called Reservations.com and asked them to confirm my new reservation. They told me I was booked. Never got a confirmation. Called the new hotel, no reservation. Called reservations.com, repeated all the steps above. They say I'm booked, the hotel says otherwise. (In all my subsequent calls to Reservations.com they claim to have no record of me ever calling beforehand. It's always starting from scratch.) I finally just disputed it with my credit card company and cancelled everything. It's a complete scam of a company.

Would give a zero but apparently cant do that here. They wont refund well in advance, and when looking at their refund policy they wont refund at all once booked. They also have an Instagram page that tried to pretend they would give me a refund but asked for my ****** account. Weird since I paid for the reservation with my credit card. So they basically have a theft policy in place and also try and scam you for more money on their ** page. Run from them. They are totally corrupt and immoral.

What can I add to all these terrible reviews? Thought I was booking online to the motel I wanted and found out it wasn't when it came back they were charging me almost double. Called immediately to be told it was too late to cancel the reservation. Crooks. These people need to be shut down and not get first billing on a ****** search.

Reservations.com switched our hotel choice from a Marriott in Gettysburg Pa to a Best Western OK without informing us. We called immediately to inform them of their error in booking the wrong hotel and was told that they cannot refund our money. All we asked was to have the $435.33 refunded on our credit card.

Thinking that I had contacted my desired hotel directly, I booked and paid for a room for two nights. I was told by the booking agent that all discounts (special funeral rate provided in this small town, AAA, senior, lifelong educator) had been applied and that the quoted rate was in fact the discounted price for this room. Upon arriving at the hotel and eventually checking out, I discovered that no discounts had been applied, that the quoted price was a lie, and that I had overpaid $89.81. When I called the customer service number at Reservations.com for clarification, asking how they account for the discrepancy between what I paid and the printed hotel statement and where the excess funds went, I was simply lectured on my having agreed to pay the quoted rate. "True," I responded, "but I did so on good faith that you had quoted me the actual room rate, which obviously you fabricated." All to no avail. "Is there anything else I can help you with?" was the repeated reply. When I tried to call a second time a few minutes later, hoping to get a more cooperative agent, she promptly hung up even before I could ask my question. Apparently my name and complaint had already made it through their communication network. This is a thoroughly corrupt and fraudulent company, whose business practices should not be tolerated in any state.

I ended up being double booked into the Red Lion when the Reservations.com web platform failed and gave me an "Error" message that the transaction could not be completed. I then called Reservations.com on their phone line to reserve a room successfully. When I arrived at the hotel, they said I had two reservations and had already been charged. I only needed one room, so I immediately tried to cancel with reservations.com but they refused to cancel the double booking in error. I have contacted Resrveations.com customer service on five separate occasions including just after my arrival at the Hotel when the error was discovered and all I get is a run around about how they can't cancel the reservation. This company provides terrible service and is impossible to work with. Their website looks like you are booking with the Hotel directly. Do not use them, book direct or through a reputable travel service.

This crooked company is the worst of the worst. I pre-paid my 2 day hotel stay in Chicago. When I arrived late at night the hotel was sold out - they did not have a room for me. The hotel manager at the Westin was very nice - he helped me find a room, down the road and gave me his contact information. He later forwarded me an email showing that the Westin refunded the room cost in full. Problem is - they sent the refund to reservations.com. Reservations.com refused to refund me. After many emails and several calls I finally gave up. They got paid 2 times and I never even got to use the room. What a sham this company is! Terrible customer service! Beware!

They lured me in online - confirming a $195 refundable rate per night - and then added an extra $152 per night after I entered my credit card information - in "tax recovery charges and fees" (for a total of $347 per night). The fine print on the website said they keep any difference in price, if taxes are lower. Once I realized I had been conned, I double checked the hotel website and found the same room with taxes and added fees was $261 per night (not $347 per night). I called reservations.com to cancel (within 2 minutes of the booking) and they kept a $58 non-refundable service fee (after pushing the word "refundable" at every turn through the booking process). They only told me they were keeping the $58 dollars when I pushed them about my refund amount. This business and these practices should be shut down. EGREGIOUSLY DECEPTIVE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
