This is a horrible organization. Do not join! They are a scam and just want to take our money. I got invited to join through my college. I only completed 1/3 of the program. It is hard working, going to college, and being a single parent full time. I asked them to pause my membership until I had enough time to give to them. They agreed and gave me a time frame. Right before the time frame I see that I was denied access. I called and they said that I would have to repay again if I wanted full access. I called multiple times, and spoke to multiple people who dont care and h give different answers. They say anything just to her you off the phone, unless youre going to pay them. Do not join! I have yet to accept my invitation, if this isn't a scam then why are you replying to all the one star reviews with the same percentages of people satisfied FROM YEARS AGO. You clearly aren't updating the information regarding satisfaction rates if its the same in 2022 and 2024, therefore you physically cannot be telling the truth in your replies. So you are lying to publicly service and benefit the NSLS. Not to mention the BBB that you love and reference so much in your replies is not even a government agency, it's a private organization so it means nothing in terms of accreditation. You are backed by Cognia which is interesting and verifies that this is legal. However, I had to search and scour your website to even find any information relating to what I would do in NSLS, how i would earn my membership, and all I found was information for a probably paid course called the ****** If you truly sought to teach leadership skills to this upcoming generation, it would not be designed this way. The invitation gives you little to no information on the efforts needed for membership, instead it focused on establishing the legitimacy of the organization. Other people have also mentioned the modernity of this system and how there are links with 404 codes everywhere. If you cannot address specific problems but only provide false or past statistics then this is no true organization but a legal scheme. It's a really good program to get access to strong, successful leaders. The podcast and live speaker sessions with famous and trending successful leaders (in their fields) is remarkable. I was skeptical about joining when my school nominated me, but I am so glad I joined. It has made a huge positive impact in my mental abilities to be a strong leader, and given me access to a lot of great opportunities, such as scholarship money, jobs and discounts on lots of different services. Totally worth the money, I highly recommend joining to anyone who is nominated.When you join, they do offer additional opportunities, with steep discounts, but you are not required to purchase them. I like that they do have an "induction" process. This helps you learn about NSLS and what it can offer you if you want to make the time and money investment in your career. This "induction" also helps you learn and focus on your current and future goals, and teaches you how to lay out a plan for them. Besides it's a proven fact that if you don't have a time and money invested in something, you will not take full advantage of the benefits. I am glad I got the invitation from my college to join, and I am taking full advantage of the opportunities they are offering me, for the small one-time membership fee. When I joined today, the upsells began immediately. To complete an induction process, they immediately encourage you to purchase extra courses listed for thousands with, of course, a steep discount so you only have to pay hundreds more. What a deal, right? *sarcasm* The scholarship partner site, ScholarsApp, is broken and clunky with links that end at 404 messages and VFW scholarships only available to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. To access the NSLS scholarships, customer service informed me I would have to complete the induction process (see upsell above). Total scam imo. I've requested a refund. We'll see if it happens or if I'll be disputing the charges with my bank and coming back here to file a complaint with the BBB. Buyer beware and stay away...National Society of Leadership and Success
