      I hired Total Comfort to install a home HVAC system and attic dehumidifying unit at their recommendation in 2020 when I built my home at ** ******** **** ** **** ****** ***  I spent over $17,000 cash and used all their recommended products and optional add-ons for the installation including an attic installed dehumidifying system. Total Comfort did all of the installation. Since the system was installed, the attic dehumidifier has malfunctioned and flooded my attic four different times, including saturation of my foam insulation and leaking water into my garage below the attic dehumidifier. During the installation of the system, the condensate drain for the dehumidifier was tied into and merged with the condensate drain for the main HVAC system. There simply is not enough space for both to sufficiently drain the excess condensate from both systems running at full operation during the hot humid flood summers. There is no easy fix for this problem and my attic dehumidifier is non-functioning at this point. I have tried to contact the company directly several times to resolve this ongoing issue with no response or resolution. I have emailed Jason who i was advised is the operations manager, i sent follow up emails to Jason as well asking for a reply to confirm he has received any of my communications or request for help with this problem and again received no response. The customer service and lack of communication has been unacceptable. I need help resolving this issue but Total Comfort will do nothing to help me resolve this issue they created with a faulty install of my HVAC equipment. Please help.

      DONT USE TOTAL COMFORT! Ripped off my neighbor! Look at what these guys charged my next door neighbor! To install 2 sets ceiling lights. The doubled the price for each set even though kitchen were only approx 3ft apart but charged for each full circuit. And bedroom approx 11 feet apart each. They extended the wire from ceiling fan instead of adding a switch! For the bedroom they tapped into the switch that controls the outlet. I called them out they got aggressive toward me and my 75yr old widowed neighbor and got in my face and even tried to intimidate me, going as far as following me to my garage. S*** like this just disgusts me. How can people live with themselves ripping off people like this!

      The gentleman who filed this complaint was not the customer for the work being done. On 2/14/24 a Total Comfort employee visited the customers residence and provided a detailed quote for some electrical work that she wanted done for a total of $1,454.95. She approved the quote and planned to go through with the service. On 2/20/24 two electricians from Total Comfort completed the work described in the proposal. As the electricians were nearing the end of the work being completed the customer thought she may want the switch next to her bed rather than using the existing switch near the door detailed in the proposal. She asked the electricians what it would cost to relocate the switch. They said it would be time and material and gave a maximum revised proposal price of $1,668, but could potentially be less depending on exactly how long it took to complete the work. At this point the customers neighbor (the complainant) entered the scene and became involved trying to tell the electricians how to do their jobs and that they should move the switch for no increase in price even though all the wiring had already been run to the existing wall switch. The neighbor was very aggressive towards the electricians even getting in their face as they were walking back to their van. Due to this the electricians completed the work per the proposal using the existing switch. The only changes to the proposal were the removal of $135 for the outlet for the wall hung TV that she elected to not complete and the addition of $16 for pancake boxes for the lights due to their weight. This brought the final price to $1,335.94. The customer was happy with the work completed and even tipped the electricians for their work and the trouble caused by her neighbor.
