1 starModel number 258CE4428003. I have had issues since the unit was installed now it's about 3 years old I replace the high and low pressure switches the defrost board twice another high pressure switch compassetor another High pressure switch and high and low voltage wires. Reached out to Carrier they were no assistance calling the number on the website send you in so circles I finally found a number from the local office where I was able to actually reach carrier all they do is do a complaint ticket and never really assist you with anything not willing to help additional $3000 in labor on top of the original $8000 that I paid for in-and-out Carrier does not care not willing to help And at this point after 3 different companies coming out basically I'm forced to do a new install this week on a unit that's only 3 years old and always been broke Also just as a FYI authorized dealers for Carrier pay to be on their authorized dealer list they're authorized dealer list doesn't really give them any special understanding or any additional knowledge on being able to work with Carrier or any advantage of helping you work with Carrier just keep that in mind authorized dealer means nothingReview fromjohn s

1 starWe added a new addition to our home in Summer of 2020. I had a recommended Carrier Mini Split HVAC system installed by a local Carrier Installer and Distributor. The unit has two zones located in very rarely used part of the home. One of the head units failed before two years with less than 20hrs of operation. The warranty covers the defective part only and for the installer servicer to replace the part labor is more than an entire new unit negating the warranty. I spoke to Carrier **************** with no assistance from them. I ended up having to replace the whole unit with a new one as well as understanding the system we had has already been discontinued and the replacement is a different model. Carriers Warranty and customer service is useless if they make an item that a replaceable part is more to repair then an entire new unit installation. I would highly recommend not purchasing or recommending their products to anyone if this is how they stand behind their equipment that is very costly.Review fromEduard F

I wish there was a zero star option available for my review, but clicked the one star because this is the only way to post it.With over 50 years experience in the technical and customer service fields, I am perplexed how this company is still in business after si many complaints, even from their own dealers. In the past three years I experienced several problems with the two Infinity units servicing my house, and every single time has been a huge straggle to fix them, one time because the parts sent to the service people were not correct for the serial number of the unit, the the part was right but the tray was missing from the box. Other time the Carrier technical support did not call back their dealer service guy for more than two hours, and when calling could not help with a simple problem which other technician fixed second day. But by far the worse experience was few days ago when I called the executive office at Carrier and complained that three of their dealers in my area could not fix the second unit in my house for four days, and I need desperate help from Carrier to save my house from being ruined by humidity (I live in FL). After few hours being transfered from one insensitive attendant to another, their final conclusion was that I "must replace the 2008 system because is too old" I asked them to connect me to their best dealer in FL instead, because I want to fix my old systems, but denied it saying that I already had the best Carrier service provided by *******************, their best dealer in **. I decided to use my electro-mechanical background and at 68, struggling a bit physically I found the problem and my AC system is back working beautiful now. The problem was a broken pin into a socket on the control board. And Carrier wanted to replace my whole system!!! I will keep this system as long as I can, servicing it myself, but never buy Carrier. Please do the same!Carrier Corporation

Dear ********************* / *************************,Carrier Corporation is the manufacturer of heating, air conditioning and ventilation equipment; we go to market through a distribution channel. The distributors, in turn, sell our products to dealers and contractors within their territories. The distributors, dealers and contractors are all independently owned and operated businesses.I am very sorry that you experienced a problem with your equipment and that the recommendation by the service provider was to replace the unit. I am very happy that your 2008 model unit is working again. I hope it provides you with many more years of good service.Sincerely,*************************** Consumer Liaison - Executive Offices Carrier Corporation Phone: ************ Email: ******************************Review fromL. Carrier Owners of ****** ***************** This Message Has Been Sent to Your CEO!!BUYERS BEWARE! PLEASE SHARE! IF YOU HAVE A ****** PRODUCT BEWARE! WE HAVE BEEN WITHOUT AC FOR 14 DAYS AND COUNTING!Hello ***************************, I understand that ****** ***************** is owned by your company.I have a ****** ************ unit that I paid 8K for less than 3 years old and still under warranty. My AC unit stopped working 14 Days ago. I had a Service man from ********* Plus come out to assess it. It was found to have a leak in the coil which subsequently leaked all 5LBS of my coolant out. He deemed it a manufacturing error. A claim was submitted to ****** who confirmed the part was covered. My service man ordered the part to only be told it would not be in until September. I was then told a replacement unit would be given to me. After requests from ****** for pictures and videos of the leak they in turned denied my claim and instructed my service men to weld the coil and refill the coolant leaving me the customer to have to pay 1K for a defect/error on the manufactures end. I called ****** **************** myself on 7/26/22, spoke to ******** Customer Relations Rep as this response was unacceptable. I was told by ******** after sending her the info regarding the Purchase Order of the part I would get an update within ***** hours. 48 Hours later I called back myself to be told by *** Customer Relations Rep that their ******************* Manager documented that he received information from ********* that the repair was complete. This was a total lie and this is total incompetence on your company's part. My service man ************************* of ********* Plus never received a call from ******. Once again the Customer ************** has to put a call into a imaginary person to look into it. Meanwhile me and my family which includes my 2yo grandson and my Asthmatic 12yo son are left without Air on a less than 3yo AC unit under warranty for now 14 Days and counting during a recordCarrier Corporation

1 starMy caution is to share our experience with the poor product quality of Carrier residential air conditioning units. Exactly 2 years ago, we purchased the Carrier 24ABB342 3 -Ton, ***** SEER, Single Speed Air Conditioner with Carrier CNPVP48 4-Ton Cased Evaporator Coil. The compressor died. Our long time HVAC company who sold us the unit and installed it told us the parts are covered by warranty, but labor costs to remove the burned out unit, and reinstall new components would cost hundreds of dollars. My complaint is why would someone knowingly purchase a Carrier unit only to have it fail in exactly 2 years, and incur 5-6 hours of labor costs. The prior unit also died 6 years after purchase, one year after the parts warranty expired. It appears that Carrier is living off its reputation while product quality declines, and homeowners who buy their units experience significant recurring costs. If considering a residential Carrier air conditioning unit, do yourself a major favor, and research alternative brands more closely.Review fromJulie T

1. Poor quality product. Coils went out on AC in less than 18 months.2. Warranty is for parts only, no labor or coolant lost as a result of defective parts.3. Poor customer service. Waited on hold for over 20 minutes during which I was asked repeatedly to press "2" if I had warranty assistance.4. Delay in the technician receiving an important part - coils. I don't live across the country, only a couple of counties away. 5. Parts ordering system for technicians is inefficient and leads to wasted time and delays. Will NEVER buy a carrier again. Previously had Rheem ACs. They didn't last forever, but 7 or 8 years before they needed any new parts. When you spend thousands of dollars on any product the expectations should be that the product is supported. Seems to me like a scam that they only cover parts on their warranty. If other AC manufacturers do the same, I haven't had a key component go bad so quickly. What's to keep them from putting inferior parts in all ACs they sell, especially for residential use? We have no purchasing power.Carrier Corporation
