  On 11/24/22 I went to the Emergency Room for an unknown ailment. While there with my fiancé plus the two attendants treating me a tv monitor was rolled up beside my gurney. A live representative came on and explained to me that if I paid $200 before my discharge that there would be no other charges incurred. The $200 was paid! I emphatically questioned if that included ALL charges including labs, x rays etc. I was told YES ! Approximately 1 1/2 years I start receiving a bill for $1261.40 for the November 2022 ER visit. I made two attempts by phone to explain the situation and attempt to get a resolution. No response from West Florida! I continued to receive bills so I attempted to write a letter for an explanation. Once again no response! The bill was then turned over to Collections! West Florida totally misrepresented themselves and lied to their patient. There is obviously no integrity nor genuine concern for their patients. I would urge all patients to use other hospitals in the Pensacola area and stay away from West Florida Hospital!

  I went to the ER weeks ago because I broke my leg I. 5 places. I followed up with my doctor to get a referral for surgery but I’m unable to see an orthopedic because HCA hasn’t sent my x-rays after my doctor and myself requested them. I am going on three weeks of needing surgery and when I contact them they just tell me sometimes it takes a while. I’m sorry but that is not acceptable at all. I can’t walk and I’m in pain and will probably need my leg broken again because I’m sure it’s healing wrong.

  Tina ********** HIM, Director reviewed, Ms. *******s concern. On 09/13/23, our outside medical record vendor, received, a request, dated 09/13/23 for her records, however, the incorrect facility and dates of service, were entered. The facility selected was HCA FL Palms West hospital, and date of service were 09/01/23-09/13/23. Our outside vendor received a request, from Mr. *******s physician, but, the incorrect dates of service were requested, and they were sent a letters ,(09/15/23, and 09/23/23 letting them know that.   On 09/11/23, Ms. ****** came to the facility and received a copy of her CD, and report, and then again on 09/23/23.
