I attempted to take an online traffic course. The original price was paid and upon completion additional fees not disclosed were added on. They proceeded to attempt to charge my debit card which was declined because I only put the amount disclosed in my account. The course was completed however, the website would not show completion without additional fees. Upon calling, I was told the course is not completed because the fee had to be paid. Unfortunately the date would be for today and not the date I actually completed the course making taking the course null and void for the purpose of traffic citation. Due to the bait and switch, no disclosure of the additional fee costs and now having to take the points on my license I would like my money back as the services paid for were not rendered.Business response

Lowestpricetrafficschool.com is a scam to bilk money from unsuspecting parents. I am located in ************ and my son needed a course for his learner's permit. ***** recommends this company?! The woman that finally answers is impatient, nasty and rude. She hung up on me and then refused to answer when I called back. The course is a joke, not helpful at all. This company is extremely elusive with several synonymous company names and different phone numbers. On 10/06/2024, I attempted to sign up for the traffic course for my daughter. During the sign-up process, I entered my ****** information and was instantly charged $69.85. After I was taken to the next page, I was prompted to pay an extra $29.95 to receive the certificate via email and even more for expedited mail. There was no prompt to execute the initial transaction nor any indication that clicking the button would result in an immediate charge to my card. Furthermore, I never received a receipt letting me know I was being charged. There is nothing on the site the stipulates that you will be charged $29.95 in addition to the $69.85. To make matters worse, I have been trying to contact the support team via phone and email to request a refund, but I have not been able to reach anyone and they have not responded to my emails.Business response

On 08/31/2024 I attempted to sign up for the traffic course. During the sign-up process, I entered my card information and was instantly charged at that moment. After I was taken to the next page, I was prompted to pay an extra amount to receive the certificate in a timely manner. However, there was no clear indication that clicking the button would result in an immediate charge to my card, and I never received a receipt letting me know I was being charged after I exited out of the website due to such a deceptive practice.As a result, I am now out of $85.15. To make matters worse, I have been trying to contact the support team via phone and email for the past four days to request a refund since I have not and will not use their services, but I have not been able to reach anyone and just stay on hold.Business response

This companies online ordering process is completely misleading. It gives you an original total and charges your bank immediately and then charges you a second time unknowingly to the customer. I have been attempting to contact the company both via online support request as well as via phone call. This business is advertised as Lowest Price Traffic School. They are on the approved DMV Florida list to obtain a learners permit for teens. First issue is they claim a price of $19.99 for the permit exam when in fact they add an additional $19.99 at checkout. After you have already paid, committed and created your account which requires sensitive personal information of your teen and a parent you then proceed to the exam. Except you cannot complete the exam. You authenticate identity then if youre lucky proceed to start of exam then you get rerouted to a website alert that just says test ********** cannot get out if it move forward. There literally is no test. You will never get to it. Of course then they have a message center to contact them & a phone number. You can wait in hold for hours with the same recurring playing over & over. Your messages have no response bc theres no one in the other end. My son chose this place bc it was on the approved list & was advertised as lowest price. It was a scam and this company if theyre actually a company should be ashamed and closed down immediately. The one time I did not do my own research & read reviews bc I was giving him responsibility the adults of this business take advantage and this is a great example of what us wrong wuth our society. I did not receive an email from lowest price traffic. Of course I dejected my sons account bc I did not want them to have his sensitive info. Im glad they cannot locate it, if they even exist as a legit company. But his account that has no impact on how there company is run. They have no customer service the phone rings off the hook for hours wuth the same VM pls see complaint. This is the problem. Their response is absurd. Even if they found his account it makes no difference in what our experience was, again please read my complaint about this being a fraudulent business. You cannot actually complete the exam you pay for it double fold. Its all a scam.Customer response

No they are not. The only contact they have ever had with me is by reading their response to you. You cannot contact anyone by phone or email & there is no live chat for issues on their website. Its all there to look at but when you try to use any of those things they are non existent. Why didnt they contact me about the refund from my email directly from my sons account? Because no one exists on the other end. No response to live chat on site. Why was I on the phone with the same fake voicemail Playing *** repeat to no end for hours. You should look at the reviews of all the people that have gone through the same experience. Exactly the same. Its a shame that its targeted at teens.Customer response

This is all around disappointing & clearly not being taken seriously. Even if AI were a feature it would not explain all ways to contact them. Obviously this is going nowhere & no they did not try to contact me. A refund is beyond the point.
