AP&G has called our place of business numerous times. We have told them several times we are not interested and to not call us again and take us off their list. They will stop calling for a few months and then start right back up again. This week (06/20/22) they have started calling again. When I confronted them that they were told months ago to not ever call here again, they were very rude and pushy (and that's putting it mildly). If you hang up they call right back and are even worse on the phone. They tell you it's not a sales call, but it is, they want to become your supplier and save you money that your utility company is charging you tons of fees because you haven't named a supplier. That is a sales pitch. However, there are no extra fees on our bill, we checked. But they "promise" you there are. We are not interested in their services. This is a place of business and we do not want to receive anymore of these calls. Please remove all of the following numbers from their database - XXX-XXX-XXXX, XXX-XXX-XXXX, XXX-XXX-XXXX, XXX-XXX-XXXX, XXX-XXX-XXXX

Last week, My Mom and I entered a sweepstakes for this company. Worst mistake of my life. I got a phone call on May 31st (today), from a woman named Jennifer who said that she was calling from the company. She called and asked about what type of energy we use (Residential, Commercial, etc.) I told her that I didn't really have time, but she was really pushy. So I went downstairs and found the paper that would have the answer she wanted. During this time, I told the lady that my Mom was disabled and that I was her daughter, and I have to help her sometimes. I don't remember her response, but I think she understood. Anyway, as soon as I said we used Residential energy, she asked if I was comfortable confirming a rebate. I said no, I'm not. Not unless my Mom says so. She got ANGRY. She said that she wanted to speak to my Mom. I said she was sleeping. I didn't want to wake her up because, like I said before, she's disabled and needs the rest. Then she asked a question, which I think was "Can you ask your Mom about the rebate?" I answered her AGAIN with "I'm sorry but she's sleeping". She shot back with "That's not the question I asked you." Her tone was demeaning and made me feel like an idiot. At this point, I was scared and anxious. I think I told her we didn't want to be in the contest anymore and she said she'd call back and talk to my Mom. This crossed the line, but I hate treating people with disrespect. I said okay, and hung up. I woke up my Mom ten minutes later because I was freaking out. I called the company back, and the same person picked up. I handed the phone to my Mom, and my Mom said "No, we're not interested, take my name out of the sweepstakes." Again, the lady got mad and said "Then why'd you even call?" and hung up. I don't get it. I was biting my tongue at times, and she had no regard for who she was speaking to. I want my Mom's name out of the sweepstakes, per her request. Also, we want our number out of their list.

Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2022/06/03) */ After launching a full investigation into this matter, there were numerous areas of the complaint text we were unable to substantiate. We reached out to the consumer to further discuss, and she confirmed there was some confusion in her recall of what occurred. Regardless, she found our call and resolution satisfactory and wishes to close out this complaint. Consumer Response /* (2000, 8, 2022/06/03) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) The Director of Investigations, Tiffany , reached out to me personally, which I'm thankful for. The first part of my complaint, I did have trouble remembering. I will admit that. We both agreed though, that the tone of the customer service representative, Jennifer, to me was off. She could've meant well, but the way it was executed implied otherwise. If Jennifer, the customer service representative I was complaining about, is reading this, I hope she knows my Mom and I forgive her. I apologize, as well. She might've been having a bad day, which is understandable. Tiffany did agree, however, that how Jennifer handled my Mom requesting to be placed on the No Call List, was way out of line. Tiffany told me that she talked to Jennifer about this. In addition, Tiffany did send an email for me to redeem a rebate, but I'm stuck on the fence if I should use it. That's personal preference though. Anyway, thank you Tiffany for talking to me about it and giving me the facts. I'll keep you and Jennifer in my prayers. I understand times are hard. Have a good day and God bless you.

This company will not stop calling me after being put on the do not call list. I received calls from an agent named LeAndre who was very aggressive and would not stop calling me back immediately after asking to not contact me further. I called the number on their website (**************) and talked with an agent named Anthony at approximately 11:20am on 05/24/22 and asked to be put on the do not called list.

We have received numerous calls from Ashley from American Power & Gas, LLC. Each time I try to explain our our unique situation where we cannot access power bills at this present time and therefore cannot discuss anything related to our bills at this time. She continues to demand that I get the bills or the name of someone who can get the bills etc. etc. and clearly just wants to finish her script which does not have a scenario where the customer does not want to talk about their bills with her. I have had to hang up abruptly to end the call several times. She calls back and reprimands our volunteer who answers the phone about how she was told to call back. She calls and asks for other people instead and gets "referred" to me. I would like to never be called by this organization again. Please put my organization on the Do Not Call list!

I keep getting unwanted calls and voice mails at both my work number and home number from this company demanding that I return their call. I work from home and get interrupted every time they ring my phone numbers. I am not interested in switching energy providers. My numbers are registered on the do not call list and I demand they stop calling me and interrupting me at work and at home. They have now been calling and leaving voice messages for me for two weeks. They are in violation of federal telemarketing law and should not be permitted to continue in business if they continue to violate the do not call provisions. Also, I never ever buy anything sold over the phone and I do not donate to any charities that do any kind of solicitation by telemarketers. Why is any kind of business doing telemarketing in this day an age? It's annoying, does not build consumer confidence and wastes the time and life of consumers.

I am constantly being called by APG at different times of the day on multiple days weeks apart trying to get me to divulge ConEd bill information to them. They call stating they simply need the ConEd bill code on top of the bill . I have constantly told them I am not interested in their services and do not wish to be bothered again by their calls. They're trying to deceive people into providing them with information right away as soon as the call begins without even telling them what their company is, their business model and that they are not affiliated with your utility company nor will your utilities be interrupted, they're pretty much scammers. Their caller ID comes up as JP ****** ************ ( a New York City area code meanwhile they're based in CT.)

A representative named Ashley of AP&G started calling in 12/6/21 asking to speak to the owners about our Con Edison bill. She refused to provide me, the General Manager of the business and direct contact to the owners, any additional information. I gave her their e-mail addresses but informed her they had already let me know they were not interested in switching companies. Ashley then called on 1/19/22 later demanding to speak to the owners again. When my staff informed her that the owners do not work in this location, she accepted to talk to me. I informed her that I am the one she spoke to last time but she refused to believe that despite me informing her that we record all of our calls and I have her contact information in an e-mail so I can prove the conversation happened. She proceeded to harass me so after numerous attempts to end the conversation, I had to disconnect the call to attend my business. She immediately called back and started insulting me for doing so. I told her she was more than welcome to contact the owners directly via email, as I had given her the information many times, but she demanded phone numbers which I will not give out. She called again today and at this point, my entire staff knows about the situation. The employee who answered tried to save some time and informed Ashley that we know why she was calling and the owners are not interested. The representative Ashley proceeded to insult my employee. When my employee requested the contact information for her supervisor, she continued to give her direct extension, not the supervisors, and my employee even questioned it. I have blocked the number every time but she keeps calling from a different number. She calls once per month, to the date. At first, I thought it was just this employee and I couldn't believe she was getting away with cursing at 'customers' but clearly it's not just her based on these other complaints.

I was first contacted by APG last summer and after listening to their sales pitch, I decided I was not interested in doing business with them. At the end of that converstation, I made it clear I was not interested in being contacted again. This morning I received a call from the same representative I spoke to last year. I promptly informed her I was not interested and asked to be placed on their Do Not Call list. The representative immediately called back, speaking over me as to why I should be taking her phone call. She informed me there would be rebates and lower bills and she was "trying to put me up on the game" of how I could be saving money. I am inundated daily with phone solicitations all while attempting to run my small business on my own. The time I am forced to spend fighting off these pushy and sometimes down right rude representatives takes away from my productivity. I respectfully ask to be taken off of American Power and Gas call list permanently. This type of coercion is painfully disruptive to individuals and small business owners like myself.
