We also are being given the cold shoulder. no response to email, no one answers when we call. Initial call was all friendly and we chatted a long while. Just confused why, after filling out that long application, we have not heard word one.

My wife and I liked a small Shih Tzu and started the application process. The application was lengthy, but we think it's fair, since they are trying to get the right dog owners for these beautiful dogs. Remember, it's all for the happiness of these dogs, not just yours, so be patient during the adoption process, and if you are denied, it's probably because either there was not a match based on your application or the space in your home is not sufficient for the type dog or energy level of the dog or something, so it's not fair that you are giving Shih Tzu Rescue such bad reviews. They are doing their job in filtering out people if they are not a match. Sometimes, if there is not a match or if they determine that a home is not right for the dog due to different circumstances, then it's all for the good of the dog. The experience we had was amazingly well. In our case, ******* was the person in charge and the person that we dealt with most of the time. She was extremely nice, friendly, respectful, very caring and showed that she actually cares in getting the right loving home for the dog being adopted. She was always available when I would call to answer any question I might have had during the adoption process. They checked my references, and then I sent them a detailed video tour of our home both front, inside and back fenced patio so that they can see if our home is right for the dog. I don't know why other reviews here say that they did not refund their money, if the money is not collected until you chose the right dog and you sign the contract. We went to see one dog, but there was not a connection with that dog and ended up adopting a couple of beautiful Shih Tzus that had to be adopted together since they had grown up together. The dogs we got are magnificent and we are extremely happy with them and the dogs are also loving life. Everyone in Shih Tzu Rescue was very helpful and showed compassion and that they really care. *******, her husbad **** and ******* thank you, thank you and thank you. We do not have enough words to describe the joy you have brought into our lives and we are thankful for calling and checking up how we were doing after the adoption of Princess Bluebell (5) and Brownie Beau (5). My wife ******** our older Shih Tzu (13) Tyler and I are very happy. We highly recommend Shih Tzu Rescue, do not pay attention to those negative comments, If we could give them 10 Stars we would.
