I just got a lease agreement two days ago from this company uown and they have been calling me non stop saying I have a past dew payment. How is this even possible if my first payment isnt due till next week? *** have had numerous charge attempts on my debit card from this company. I tired to talk to the person that keeps calling me stating we demand payment now, which in fact have the agreement and proof of my first payment being due next week.Business Response

the lease agreement (attached) states the first due date is 1/25/2023- we can see that you received the tires that same day. We can move your due date to 2/8 which is the next date in your bi-weekly cycle. If this does not work for you, please don't hesitate to give us a call. I signed a lease agreement for the purchase of 2 auto tires.My account number with ******************** is #*************************** claims that both December 16 and 20, of 2022 payments were returned for insufficient funds.On my ***************** statement, it clearly indicates that on December 16 there was a balance of $800 and on the 30th of December a balance of $167 Uown Leasing charged me $25 for each for a total of $50.Uown leasing has committed fraud and I believe now their lease is null and void.I have proof that monies were available and I believe they are doing this to hundreds of customers claiming that their payments did not go through It's impossible to speak with them, since any communication will be sent to *************************** is committing fraud on a grand scale and I am one of their victims.Business Response

Attached are the all the transactions that have occurred on your bank account with Uown - as you can see, we received an NSF return from the bank as well as one indicating a blocked account. We do not have control of the response we receive on transactions. As a courtesy - the $25 NSF fee charged has been applied towards your contract and the 90 day option has been reinstated without a fee. We recommend keeping the credit card on for autopay as that will give you instant notification of a transaction being successful or declining.

Beware of this company! I recently purchased a product and was financed by this company. Reasonable payments and all payments were made on time. Until this past Friday, I had an issue with my bank where my check would not be deposited on Friday, but instead on Monday. I called the company to advise them and was told that would not be an issue. I logged onto the account Monday and made the payment, I then noticed the 90 days same as cash option was more than doubled, almost as much as the whole contract price. I called today to ask why and was told that since I missed a payment (Friday's made on Monday) it voided the 90 days sac option. I explained to them that I called on Friday and was told it would be fine, and they told me the notes state otherwise. I asked for it to be reinstated and he advised it would be a $150 fee to reactivate the 90 days sac. I told them I didn't see anywhere in the contract that it mentioned the fee, he advised it was a "courtesy" and that it was listed in the contract. Basically they said I was lying about the call on Friday and want to charge me a large fee to allow me to pay the 90 days sac option. Something seems fishy. I will be seeking legal advise.Business Response

We reviewed the call with our representative on 1/20 - you were advised on that phone call that the 90 day same as cash option would be voided if payment was not made on that date. That payment was not made until 1/23. The lease agreement does state that 90 day same as cash option is voided on any late or returned payments (attached for reference). We have a reinstatement fee for customers who have lost this option and want to take advantage of the 90 day and this is a courtesy as the agent advised you. This is our policy. We can reinstate your 90 day option this one time at no cost, please keep in mind if there are anymore late, missed or returned payments we will not be able to reinstate again without fee.

I have tried contacting these people many many times about an order that was placed it was fraud and I didnt place the order it was done under my name and information with my cards for a washing machine. They try to tell me its going to be 450$ as a fee just to put it back on the early by out option instead of paying over double than what the item actually is!! Almost **** instead of the 2000$ I was trying to see if this would be taken care of so that it wouldnt be on my credit and they are cheating me out of money and its not even mine!! Im on unemployment this company is taking advantage of me after I stated that those payments shouldnt be weekly! I was trying to get this off. we want to help resolve your issue. We first want to clarify if you are asserting this was a fraudulent purchase made with your personal information. We have communicated with the email address you have submitted on this BBB complaint in which responsibility of payments was assumed. If someone used your information to take out this lease agreement and also have access to your personal email, you will need to file an identity theft report and follow our internal fraud protocol to get this resolved and possibly pursue that individual. If you are only disputing the full contract balance listed on the agreement or the 90 day same as cash - please review page 6 and 7 of the lease agreement. (attached for reference). The cash price (listed on page 1) matches your submitted screenshot of $1,900 along with the merchandise description-please keep in mind, there is also a $40 processing fee with the first payment. 90 day amount would be $1900 + sales tax in your state + $40 processing fee. I am rejecting this response because:
The order and agreement that was used was placed and to my understanding that order was canceled by either you or the store in which it came from and after reviewing the emails and what has been said it also stated that that amount was lowered and the only option would be for someone to physically go to that store and have it loaded and picked up in person then it clearly stated that that item was then cancelled and there was no order for thats said item and they had no knowledge of the order so lf the agreement and signing was for it to be picked up in person and that order was cancelled then that agreement is null. Then after further review it was stated that the company would have to reach out to that supplier where the order was canceled and see why it was canceled and what was going on. Then later messages states the order was re placed and it was no longer an option to pick it up like in the agreement ,that now in order for that unit it was now only possible m to deliver it and it could not be picked up, I never picked anything up. And not only that you replaced another order after it being canceled without a new signed agreement that should have been redone and updated. Now you have an order that you say has been fulfilled but it was a completly new order and not for pick up so how do I know you didnt attempted to deliver it to me?? Or if you even had the item to begin with ? Or if this a complete hoax to take peoples money and scam them? Or if you even delivered or a deliberate attempt to scam or if that item was even brought to the correct recipient or who it was gave to or who got it. Regardless it is not to be sent over to credit for my responsibility because I did not place, order, or receive anything and it also stated the once ready for pick up was now being held for another additional week or so did you set this up for a scam? Sounds to me you placed an unauthorized order, then canceled changed and went back on the agreement and didnt have the item and deliberately made the first charge that wasnt even supposed to be charged on my behalf because I didnt do it purposefully missed the 90 day early buyout option so that it was made to be automatically paid in full I read your reviews online. Almost all of them are one star and say that you deliberately made them miss their payment, and deliberately unfortunately made them unable to pay on time or messed up their payment to make it late purposely so that they would be made to void before even using it which is really bad business and you guys look pretty bad as well considering the reviews that youve got for these things and your type of service seems to be set up to scam people and make them miss the buy out and force them to have to pay almost 3 times the original amount as the retail price and also go as far as making signed agreements on your own and inflicting them on potential customers when they didnt order things to begin with I gave you proof. I also sent you an email earlier with the case number you now need to remove that off of my name and return any monies that youve charged. And delete any and all information you have that has my name on it because I will not be getting scammed. you have what you asked and thats all the information you need is the case number I provided and proof that this is fraud and it has been filed a search you know I need to take everything that has my name out of your system, and this better not go on my credit otherwise, they will be a much larger issue at hand

we have reached out to RTB shopper to get clarification on your situation. Here is a summary of events:
-The washer/dryer combo was out of your approval limit. RTB worked to discount it for you down to $1,900 with the agreement that you would pick up the item.
-The item was marked as ready for pick up by Best Buy, when you tried picking up the order, it was not ready as indicated in the notification to you and to RTB shopper.
-Due to this inconvenience, RTB worked to get a free delivery to you on the next available date which was 12/15
-Delivery was complete at approximately 3:30 PM on 12/15.
We also want to clarify that Uown does not take part in the delivery of products and would not need to create a new agreement for the same merchandise, we also do not place orders on behalf of customers. We understand that you had a difficult time getting the product, please keep in mind this is completely out of our control. As a courtesy, we can reinstate the 90 day same as cash option without a reinstatement fee as long as the account becomes current.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:I told you someone has done this under my name I never even signed for anything and I just attached another screenshot of an email that I got from you guys recently about an application that was submitted for something else under my name which I did not even do! I provided you with the case number after you guys said file a report which I did and I still have you all trying to charge me. and I swear to god this better not go on my credit or we are going to have big problem, I did not sign for anything, I did not have nothing at my door, and I certainly didn't order anything from you all! I submitted a report like you said in your email and you said that that would be a suffincnt enough for you all to take it off from my name on it, I am not and will not be held responsible, and I did exactly what I needed to do and NONE OF YOU HAVE YET TO ACKNOWLEDGE what I sent to you all and gave you proof!! I have been in contact with the credit bureaus , I have reported fraud, and *** also filed complaints and claims against you and I will retain an attorney if need be, you all have yet to refund any money that was wrongly stolen from me and my accounts! and you have yet to make a statement in front of the BBB about what the h*** im saying to you all! but its funny how y'all can act very unprofessional in email and not even respond back to my emails and the screen shots and proof of what you all asked me to send you! I was considering buying tires from uown but didn't accept the terms. Before the tires were even scheduled to ship I canceled the order by email because the phone numbers I had for the company were bogus. Now I have no tires still and I'm also being charged 54 dollars a week for the tires that I canceled by email due to lack of a good phone number and a dial tone for the phone number I was given. I am about to file a fraud complaint with the bank if this does not get resolved.Business Response

Tire Agent can only cancel the order within one hour of it being placed. After that, you would need to do a return as long as the items are unused and within 30 days. According to the lease I signed with this company, I am not supposed to receive a bill until I receive the product. The product will *********** to 8 weeks to deliver. The UOwn company has taken multiple payments out of my bank account even though I have not received the product and probably wont receive it until around the end of February. I have stopped payment with them from my bank and they have used other claim numbers to still try to withdraw money from my account. I have also spoken with Enchanted Fairies and they have also reached out to this company to tell them to stop withdrawing money from my account. In September of 2022, furniture was picked up (please see the attached). ****** from merchandise recovery stated that this would be removed from my credit, closed out and no balance was due. He stated that he would follow up with me that it was taken care of, when I spoke with him over the phone. After the furniture was picked up, the gentleman that picked up the furniture stated that he would report that the furniture was picked up and it would be free and clear from my credit and nothing due. Time passed. Crickets. I reached back out to UOWNLEASING and ****** was no longer there. Second person that had my file, stated that they would take care of it and nothing. First person was ****** The next and final person I spoke with was ***** in Escalations, phone number ************. ***** stated she would immediately put in to have this removed and apologized for the inconvenience that this caused. ***** had stated the gentleman seen in the photo never reported the furniture to them and that she would have it rectified.On one of the attachments is when the picture was sent to ***** while on the phone with her so the date and time of the email is also when she was on the phone to confirm receipt of the furniture and this email and removal from my credit.I recently received a collection notice dated 12/20/2022 from **************************. with reference number CA687527 stating that I owe $5,200.35. This tells me that ***** did not do what she stated that she would. I want this cleared off of my credit please and the balance removed of what is due. I will not be paying this as this was settled out, furniture was picked up. Never again with I work with this company. It all started with ****************** and it has been a total nightmare. Over charged on several occasions. I'm seeing payments out of my account that are not the amount they should of took. When I have talked to them I've been hung up on, told to just pay it.
