1 starThis Dental practice should be shut down! My Tooth Bridge broke January, 2025. I made an appointment to have it repaired (they created the Bridge several years prior). Of course it no longer was under warranty. To replace it they wanted $3,535 up front even though I have dental insurance. I charged the amount to my credit card in anticipation that when my dental insurance reimbursed them I would be credited the amount charged. My Dental Insurance informed me that Coast Dental overcharged me, they did pay Coast Dental over $2,100 in March, 2025 for my Bridge. I have been trying to get my credit card credited from Coast Dental for the initial charge of $3,535 with no success. The last conversation I had with the local office, May, 2025, in Wesley Chapel, FL was they were too busy to follow up. I asked for the contact name at the Corporate Office I should talk with and the office manager said she didn’t know the name because everything is done online and the person is located internationally. This is a different story from what she told me several weeks prior. Calling the Corporate Office in Tampa is a waste of time since no one answers the phone. Coast Dental is an unethical business, they take advantage of patients, especially elderly patients. They “double dip”; they got paid by the me and by the insurance company over $6,000 for my Bridge. As of today I have not been credited $3,535, it is now June, 2025.

1 starI would give less stars if I could. My husband has been dealing with nothing but hell from this fraud dentistry. After paying more than we were originally told - and signed in writing - he finally received his dentures, which then didn't fit. After another round of fighting with them they finally fixed them. Only for them to break two months later. Now, the dentist that he saw is out of town until some time in June. They sent him to another office (same company, different location) but that office won't look at him without charging him for a consultation. I am beyond furious. Our only option at this point is for him to go without bottom dentures until his original dentist returns some time in June. HE HAS NO BOTTOM TEETH and the dentures broke clear in half while he was just brushing them. Handling them perfectly normal. Also, not his first set of dentures and he's never broken one before.Review fromMegan Andrea C

1 starI had a deeply disappointing and distressing experience with this dental office. I had all my teeth extracted here and was given dentures that never fit properly. After enduring significant pain, I returned and it was discovered a bone fragment had been left behindsomething that should have been addressed during the initial extraction. Even after removal, the dentures remained far too large and unwearable.Despite this being due to poor fit and improper sizing, the office refused to remake or adjust them without charging me for an entirely new set. On top of that, they billed my insurance for a $204 panoramic X-ray that was never performed and charged $167 for a "comprehensive exam" where all they did was ask me why I didn't like the dentures. This is unacceptable. Patients deserve competent care, honest billing, and support when something goes wrongnot blame and extra fees. I strongly advise others to seek care elsewhere.Review fromLynda S

1 staran hour ago New From the moment I walked in there University Area Tampa therewere unnecessary up charges attempted. Also the cleanliness of the establishment is questionable. The dental assistant didn’t have the proper financial information before taking my x-rays and once again an up charge was attempted. After all of this I still considered giving them a chance and went to an exam room. All the rooms are open with no privacy at all. I was asked to write my medications down on the paper they use to line the instrument tray with ( big red flag possible HIPPA violation in the making) that was the last straw. I got up and politely walked out. No thank you. Anyone considering going here turn around and run.Review fromTagiya M

1 starI have been with the same Metrowest Coast Dental practice for most of my career, spanning more than 15 years. I attend every six months for my cleaning and had never experienced what I encountered yesterday. The dentist presented me with a laundry list of expensive dental procedures I supposedly need, which left me completely flabbergasted. How could I possibly require all these treatments when I visit the dentist regularly, have x-rays done annually, and see the doctor twice a year either in person or via telemedicine? I had a cleaning just two weeks ago, and the tele-doctor mentioned a cavity on tooth number 8, which prompted yesterday's visit. During my examination, the dentist claimed I need six fillings, four root canals, and six crowns, yet could only reference when the previous doctor recommended a single filling that has now allegedly progressed to requiring a root canal. She was unable to indicate where in my records any other recommendations had been noted. I am thoroughly disappointed and frustrated. I will never return to Coast Dental again and will certainly inform all my co-workers about this experience. This is not the standard of service I expect to receive.Review fromMegan C

1 starI wish I was allowed to leave a - star I had a terrible experience at this dentist office. They made me a set of dentures that don't fit at all and are huge, causing sores in my mouth. I followed their instructions precisely, but the dentures are still unwearable. They used the wrong size mold for my mouth. They fit me for them right after I had 21 teeth pulled and now want to charge me almost $2000 for a new set. To make matters worse, they misled me about a tooth fragment they left in my mouth, saying it would fall out once my teeth healed. I waited two years, only to find out I needed surgery to remove it, which I had to pay for myself. This whole situation has taken a toll on my mental health. This office should be held accountable for their mistakes and misleading information. I would not recommend them to anyone!Review fromAndrew B

1 starWent to Coast near Publix in PG, told them 3 times i did not want a cleaning but to have xrays done to see what was going on. The xray tech took an overdose of xrays and then tells me oops i dont know what happened but they are all gone, i tell her I am going to leave and the ** comes in and asked why I didnt do a cleaning and I say I just dont want it and he says then why are you here and you can go! Then they charge my insurance for the erased ***** and a comprehensive examination from the **, I call for an explanation and they argue that everything was done. These people are criminals, do not recommend for anything unless your into shoddy work and getting billed for not having anything done.Review fromWilma F

1 starNever go to these people for any dental services, they took advantage of my ************************************************************************************ full even do they knew that the guard will be paid by our insurance they charged her ahead of time for it just in case according to the manager Kaittie, then after we went to complain that the insurance company paid them in full they said that she will process the refund in 4 weeks, this was done in January and we are on April and no sign of a refund, every time we call the office manager blames corporate for not processing the refund and gives us a disconnected number for us to call to complain,we told her this several times and she says she doesnt know of another number, finally we got a hold of the corporate office and after3 months of complaints and excuses we still have no refund,do yourself a favor and stay away from these people
