      On 1/4/25 I placed an order for brand new Electrolux washer and dryer. "Brand new" out of box product delivered and installed 1/8/25. Gas installer dropped water house for dryer on floor leaking water everywhere and damaged wall and baseboard which required repair and repaint. Water made a mess which we had to clean up. Immediately identified dryer door issue, told keep machines it will be fixed. Washer smell so strong of baby powder chemical. Machine had water back up in detergent tray and not leveled. They left machines at two different heights. Notified store salesperson. 1/22/25 repairman came to swap doors on washer dryer out but one door was defective. 2/4/25 Additional repair visit. Machines were leveled finally. 2/21/25 Additional repair visit to replace washer door defect and also screws in both washer and dryer doors that were stripped and sharp/rough to the touch, After multiple emails calls and request for repair/reimbursement for property damage, we did receive a check for $200 from installer Diverse Logistics and Distribution that caused property damage. Famous Tate made me talk with them direct and ***** would give me installer insurance information despite numerous requests. Although Diverse offered to repair for us, their person took over a week to contact us then said it would be several weeks for them to repair. Famous Tate offered no reduction or monetary compensation for time, headache and mess caused. The machines delivered were supposed to be brand new in working order free from defects. It should not take 6 weeks, endless emails and hours to resolve this. We are requesting $150 reduction on price of each machine for the time we spent on each repair visit, calls, vendor repair for damage, emails, etc. In the interim, I have disputed $1180.64 charge to my credit card. (To date, we paid $1032.42 as they split purchase between two cards even though we said to charge it all to one card.) We would agree to pay final bill of $880.64 not $1180.64.

      In response to Ms *********** complaint to the BBB regarding her Electrolux washer, Famous Tate quickly reacted to her concerns. In regard to the damage to her property our Delivery Partner did resolve that and sent her a check as agreed upon. Famous Tate has no control over the quality of the doors shipped to replace her damage door. The doors are manufactured and shipped from **********. If Ms *********** is looking for compensation we would suggest she contact Electrolux Consumer Affairs at ************. Famous Tate does not offer any form of compensation due to service delays caused by the manufacturer.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      If Famous Tate had thoroughly checked the equipment that they were delivering prior to delivering it to my home, they would have seen it was defect/damage to the doors of both the washer and dryer. They would have noticed the extremely overpowering chemical smell emanating from the washing machine.  Had they done their job in inspecting the machinery ahead of time this wouldve been known and the machines couldve been delayed in delivery to us instead of us having to lose several hours of time waiting for service calls. Although they are setting manufacturer defect, they have a responsibility as a vendor, supplying equipment and being the party that sells the equipment to not deliver defective product to a customers home. They also contracted a vendor and refused to provide both their insurance and the vendors insurance when it was disclosed to them that the vendor had damaged our home. They also failed to follow up immediately with the vendor to rectify the damage. They put me on the phone with the vendor they subcontract it to over the damage wasting more of my time.

      I went into FAMOUS TATE on JUNE ******* to replace a refrigerator that broke down after24 years.I met with salesman, **** Deliacco. I told him I want a plain white frig, no major electronics, no ice maker and small enough to fit under my kitchen cabinets. I took the dimensions with me.He steered me to Frigidaire appliance that was on sale for $698.88. I did not like the glass shelves because they can break easily and don't allow much air circulation; but the size would fit my space and it did not have a lot of electronics. The salesman told me it would be best to buy a 3 year warranty and that ******** had the best protection plan over the manufacturers' plan. I told him my last frig lasted 24 years; so why did I need one. What he failed to tell me was that a defrost component failed very often in this model; according to the repair man.He did not tell me that the warranty for food replacement would require that I keep a running total of all my grocery receipt to be paid for food loss. In fact, I never receive a copy of the warranty contract either from the salesman or ********. Mr. ********* must have been knowable of the particulars of the warranty contract because he said it was better than the manufacturers. I would have never bought this Fridge if I knew of the component failure. I certainly would not have bought a breakdown warranty that required you to keep track of all your food purchases if there is a spoilage loss; I am not a restaurant making a claim for receipts that I sell. I want my money back from this warranty so I can buy some of the food that I lost; which was over $300. I also want some compensation or replacement for being sold an appliance that the retailer knew had parts problems; but did not disclose to the purchaser.

      Ms ****** purchased her Frigidaire refrigerator from our North Tampa location on 5/10/2024 order number NT05104043 (see attached). She did purchase a 3-year date of purchase warranty from us that is insured by ********. The reason she did not get a copy of her terms and conditions is that we did not have her email on file. If she would be so kind to send her email, we will have Allstate forward her a copy of her terms and conditions. 

      In regard to the food loss, I would strongly suggest Ms ****** keep the extended warranty. One of the many benefits of the ******** extended warranty is the customer is covered up to $300 for food loss annually. If we cancel the contract as per the customer request, she will only receive a $100.00. Please have the customer call her salesperson, **** and advise him what she would like to do, and we will be happy to help her.

      I bought a fridge a stove and dish washer all ******* products. I just bought my stove one of the burners is messing up really bad. I was told that I had to leave my job to meet the repair guy. I can not leave my job. They delivered my dishwasher installed my dish washer and the front of my dishwasher is completely dented in. I have recording of all my conversations with people. The fridge the seal is ripping I bought warranties and this is just horrible. I just want my stuff fixed or I want a refund and take it back. So done with this all getting tossed around saying I have to leave my job. What happen to customer service.

      Ms ********* purchased her ******* refrigerator from our Spring Hill store on 04/08/2025, invoice SH04084033. The refrigerator was delivered on 4/10/2025. A service call was placed to ******* to replace the customer door with the damaged gasket. The door was ordered and was sent to the customers home so ******* service could install the door. ******* service has called the customer twice to set up service and the customer will not accept the service dates. ******* service advised the customer to call them when she wants to set up service. 

      We have no record of the customer having issues with range or the dent on the front of the dishwasher. The customer is covered under *******'s manufacturer warranty. Ms ********* can call ******* at ************ to set up a service call for her range and dishwasher. This is the process the customer must follow under the manufacturer warranty.

      i have talked to ******* and they refuse to work with my schedule so famous Tate in Springhill sent another company cones to fix my fridge and dishwasher and stove. I was treated poorly by ******* and by a guy named ***** from famous Tate. I spent a lot of money there and I will never shop there again I will go elsewhere for sure. Plus I will not purchase ******* never again

      I bought a new Frigidaire Range thus February, had multiple issues with Range not able to use for the last two months repairs cant be made had part replaced but still not working. I requested a replacement but I was told they still want to fix if possible

      The following is Famous Tates response to Ms ***** complaint regarding her Frigidaire Range purchased from our Winter Haven store on 2/28/24. The manufacture provides a 1 year parts and labor on the range. Ms ***** was covered under the ********** manufacturer warranty. After reviewing her service file from Frigidaire we could understand her frustration. The being said, Famous Tate I called the customer and apologized regarding the challenges she has had to get her range repair. I advised her that Famous Tate is going to exchange the range so that she will have a working range for New Years Eve. The exchange was done 12/31/2024.

      I bought a Dishwasher from Famous Tate January 2020 and also bought the 5 year warranty. I have had and error code which was fixed in Sept. It is happening again. I called the warranty center and they said the would call me back within 48 hours to set up appt. They never called. I called famous tate and they called on my behalf and said I would get a call Sunday for an appt Monday. It is now Wednesday and I have not received a call. I am very close to my warranty not being in effect any more. They said if they fix it again and it breaks again after 30 days I will be responsible. Every day that passes puts me more at risk of having to replace my dishwasher myself with the warranty. This is just simple poor business. If they cant fix it for certain replace it. That seems fair and just to me. I have had bought from Famous Tate since the 1970s and never had an issue. They Famous Tate I know would step up and resolve this poor customer service.

      Mr. ******* purchased **************** Contract along with a Bosch Dishwasher, model SHP88Z75N on 1/19/2020 from our Famous Tate **** Store. The extended service contract is administrated and insured by **********. When a customer requires service, the customer calls an 800 number managed and staffed by **********. Their team confirms the customer has a valid contract and performs basic troubleshooting.If the problem cannot be resolved, ********** will dispatch a servicer who is qualified to service the customers product. When the customer contacted **********,they were talking to their employees, not Famous Tate employees. Famous Tate only sells the extended service plans to the customer as an agent for ***********They provide the service as needed to the customer based on the terms and conditions of the extended service contract.

      After reviewing the service history that was provide by **********, we feel that Mr. ******* has been more than patient in trying to get his dishwasher repaired. That said, Famous Tate is making arrangements with Centricity to remove the old dishwasher and install a new Bosh Dishwasher that is like kind and quality as stated in her service agreement. Mr. ******* has been advised that the dishwasher will be replaced.

We review the rebate file from ** for the month of March and April 2024 and did not find any offer regarding a $100 rebate for the refrigerator Mr. ****** purchased from our Winter Have Store.       I bought a *** washer and dryer from famous tape on November 24th 2019.I also bought a warranty for both products. Which cost me $179.88 for washer and $129.88 for the dryer both for five years. I cannot get my washer fixed. My washer is off-balance if it does not need socks then something is broke around the cylinder that spins the cloth. All I want is to get my washer fixed. The warranty company will not send anyone to my residence to fix it. I have a stackable washer and dryer twice I've paid for someone to unstack them. The warranty company will Schedule an appointment.But no one shows up. twice they told me they were coming out. The first time they did not show up but called the next day they came out and tighten two bots and left. The second time they never showed up or called. After sitting at home on day. I called the warranty company again they are going to escalate my case again. Per Famous Tape they are having a lot of issues with them. They told me the warranty company is under contract for the next year and they are not going to renew them, but people like me are just out of luck and have to deal with them.All I want is to get my watch your fixed.

The extended service contract is administrated and insured by *********** Famous Tate only sells the extended service plans to the customer as an agent for Bankers *************** ********** is provided all the customer information and holds the liability to provide service based on their terms and condition that are sent to the customer.
      When a customer requires service, they call an 800 number managed and staffed by ********** The ********** team confirms the customer has a valid contract and performs basic troubleshooting. If the problem cannot be resolved and the service required is covered under their contract, ********** will dispatch a servicer who is qualified to service the customers product.  In the case of Ms ****** her service request was covered und the terms and conditions of the contract.
      This is no excuse for the poor service that ********** provided Ms ******* In reviewing the notes from ********** this customer has been more than patient in waiting for service.
      Famous Tate has been contacting Centricity 2-3 times a month on behalf of Ms ****** and was advised on 9/30/2024, that a settlement was reached with the customer. ********** is mailing the customer a check for $586.00. Based on this information we will consider the complaint closed as the customer issue was resolved.

Famous Tate refuses to reimburse us for the damage to our home. Our records did not show there was any damage to the customer home during the delivery. Regarding the multiple service calls, Famous Tate does provide service under the manufacturer warranty. Customer are directed to the manufacturer of their appliance to set up a service call. Therefore, we would not have any records of the customer having multiple service calls. 
      If Mr. Bousquet is still having problems with his appliances, Famous Tate would be happy to help advocate for Mr. Bousquet with the manufacturer to see what we can do to help him. He can call our customer care team at 813.935.3151 and then listen for the prompt for Customer Care.

      I am rejecting this response because:  Every appliance had an issue.  While we have resolved our issues with the kitchen aid stove, dishwasher and refrigerator we now have issues with our Samsung dryer.  It is impossible that every appliance is having issues without there being a common denominator which is famous Tate.  When we called famous Tate they pushed us off to our builder or the manufacturer.  I believe the issue occurred while stored at their warehouse for all of our appliances.

      Terrible delivery service. No problems with purchase. I received a text stating delivery would be from 2-5 pm on 8/28/28. Since this was a refrigerator, I removed all my food into a cooler and the sink (with ice) at 2:00pm. I left the boxed freezer food, and ice cream, in the freezer. At 2:40 pm, I received a text stating they would arrive within 30 mins. At 3:00 pm, I took all my freezer food and placed it on the counter. Nobody showed. At 3:36pm, I called Famous Tate. A lady in delivery told me they were on stop 7 and I was stop 9, and that she had no idea who texted **** put my food back in the freezer. At 3:39 pm, I received another text stating they would be there in 30 minutes. I figured that this too, was another lie, and it was. At 4:37 pm, the delivery guys arrived. I removed my freezer items, & placed them on the counter (the 2nd time). One guy unplugged my fridge to prepare for haul-away. They pulled a fridge out of their truck, unboxed it, & put it on the street. It was barely sprinkling at this time. Both guys got in the back of their truck with the fridge sitting in the street for over 10 minutes, as the rain slowly increased. Then, they put the new fridge BACK in the truck, & they stayed in the back of the truck. I waited. I heard nothing from them. Not ONCE did they let me know what was going on...for an ******* 5:39 pm, they let themselves in, & hauled the new fridge in. I had to remove my (now not-safe-to-eat) thawed food, out of the warm freezer again. They finished their delivery, & left styrofoam all over inside & out, left greasy marks all over my door, & threw the box the fridge was in, & their water bottles, in the street, before they finally left at 5:55pm. This was utter incompetence. Zero communication with me. I tallied up my boxed food, and ice cream I lost because of this nightmare delivery, and it was $56.89. I want reimbursed. I cannot afford to throw out food, which is what I had to do.

      The following is our response to Ms ******* BBB Complaint (BBB Case# ********). Unfortunately a;; our deliveries are affected by the weather. The automatic text message that was received was based on the drivers leaving the previous stop. Unfortunately weather and traffic plays a factor on our arrival to the customers home for delivery.  We use the text message to keep the customer informed. ********************** uses a third party delivery service for all their deliveries. They are taught safety when it comes to delivery appliances and bedding to our customers. That said, there is no excuse for not communicating with Ms **** about the status of her delivery.  We apologize for the miscommunication and will use this as learning tool for all of our delivery teams to improve their communication skills with the customer. We will also send the customer a $75.00 Publix Gift Card to cover the food that was lost during her delivery. 

      Famous Tate values all their customers and we appreciate the feedback so that we can continue to learn how we can improve to provide our customers a seamless delivery experience.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      I filed a BBB complaint 9/3/24. I accepted a response from them, because they promised to send me a $75 Publix gift card. Please review my complaint, and see their response stating that they would send me the gift card for the food I lost. I included a screenshot of their intent to send me the gift card. Well, they never did send me anything. I want the card. It should be more than a $75 gift card now, since it has been nearly 3 months, and they lied about it.

      So back in i believe it was June 2023 we bought our entire kitchen from famous Tate for our new home. We had the appliances delivered to our home in August before we moved in. Moved in in September, everything was fine till one day the freezer stopped working! Had ******* come out 3 times, told us it was a famous Tate problem. Had famous Tate come out and they agreed it was the delivery peoples problem and told me they would order us a new freezer door. And that was the last i heard from them since March 2024! Originally i was in communication with a man named ***** from customer care. He was the one who sent the guys out from famous Tate what the problem was and his guys were the ones that said they would order me a new freezer door. Then there was silence. I have called ***** number multiple times since and it goes straight to his voicemail that says due to high call volumes, etc. so then i called up to the store and have talked with **** (our sales lady) and have talked to a lady named *******. I think Ive talked to ******* about 5 times and **** maybe 4 since March 2024 its July 1st. Ive asked what the status is on the freezer door and no one can give me an update! Its always the exact same response Ill send an IM right now and you should hear from them maybe by the end of the day but most definitely by tomorrow and literally havent heard a thing. **** actually sent me a picture of the notes on my account and its documented that the guys who looked at the door said they would order it but i have no proof of actual order confirmation. Also, she had mentioned on 5/29/24 that the only additional phone call about this situation was on 3/12/24 and that upsets me because *** called NUMEROUS times and it wasnt documented. Im very aggravated because its Famous Tate! I love famous Tate but this entire experience involving this freezer door has made me scratch my head. Im very upset and would like my replacement or a refund so i have a working product!

      In response to *********************** BBB complaint *******, ******* dispatch an independent service who does not work for ******* to the customers home and stated the freezing in the freezer was due to the fact the frame was bent on the refrigerator and it was Famous Tate's issue. On March 12th we dispatch another tech to get a second opinion. It turned that the frame was not bent, the freezer door needed to be replaced. The freezer door was bowed inward on the bottom and the right sides neat the freezer door gasket. This caused a poor seal that could only be fixed by replacing the door. A replacement door was order from ******* on 3/12/2024. Everytime we checked with ******* we were advised the freezer door is on back ordered. Another call was placed to ******* today 7/2/2024 and we were advised the door is backordered till August 2024 

      To speed up the service we are going to remove a freezer door from a stock refrigerator so the customer can be taken care of and we will wait for the replacement door. The customer will be receiving a call from our ************* Team today or tomorrow to set up service. 

      We apologize for the delay of service and hopes the customer understands that ********************** has no control over manufacturer parts availability.
