Parked on 6/15/2024 overnight. I downloaded the app and attempted to pay that way but it gave an error and said credit cards are not allowed. The first pay station was inoperable - several people attempted to use it. The machine next to it appeared to work - entered my information, license plate, etc. It asked my for credit card, inserted it, and then removed it as it said - then after about a minute it went back to the main screen.Ended up receiving a $65 ticket ($25 in parking, $40 for notice fee). I have sent 2 different emails and 2 voice mails. Their sign says you need to email **************************************** however when you call them they say you need to email *************************************** They claim you have 14 days to dispute, but claim it may take up to 4 business days for an email response. Sounds shady as ****.As a disabled Vet I usually don't pay for parking anywhere.I would gladly pay the $25 and thats it

I parked at the lot, paid for the parking. They charged me $20, and $40 Notice Fee. That is outrageous. How are they allowed to price ***** like this. I have a veteran disabled plate at that to. This is robbery at its finest. Their kiosk are not properly labeled, and are not available to the consumer to make the payments. I made a payment to a Kiosk I thought belong to them. This so wrong on many levels.

05/29/2024 I visited ***** this week and parked in one of the 717 lots. Upon arriving, I went to pay for my parking and saw there was an app which I downloaded to my iphone. I registered my plate with the app, picked my parking duration then selected apple pay as the payment method. When apple pay come up, I saw the green check box which normally indicates a successful transaction. When I returned from dinner I found the attached notice on my vehicle. I checked the app to find no transactions had been registered with the app. I would like to pay for my parking but I find the ***** extra fee egregious. I offered to pay for the ***** which was the actual parking fee but the e-mail I got back was short and terse saying they do not offer free parking and my dispute was denied. Reference **********. I will be mailing a check today 05/31 for ***** to 717 Parking Services, **************************************

      Better Business Bureau:

I was able to settle this dispute with the company.   I told them I would only pay the parking fee and not their extra fees since their app kiosk didnt work properly.

      Sincerely,

      Complaint: 21684158

I am rejecting this response because: when I purchased the ticket at 717 parking I inserted my card and nowhere on the machine did it ask for my license plate information or I would have put it in I had taken a picture of my plate prior to leaving my vehicle- as soon as I inserted the card my card was charged $25 as you can see and I placed the ticket on my windshield not less than an hour later I came back to a notice on my windshield I contacted 717 parking and they advised because the plate did not match they could charge me an additional $80 where is this posted in the lot- I requested they send me where this is posted on the Kiosk and they never responded you cant charge people for a faulty machine- I have uploaded proof I paid for parking- I am not paying an additional $80 for an error that was not my own: I even took a picture of my plate it shows the date and time of this occurrence so I was clearly ready to put my plate number in the kiosk if it would have allowed me to do so again this is not my error the time stamps and dates prove this is not my error-

      Sincerely,

As an 80% disabled veteran, I parked in a handicapped spot Saturday, 30 March in a parking lot operated by 717 Parking near ************ for a Lightning game. I had assumed (erroneously apparently) that all handicapped parking in ***** fell under the same ordnances, that is as of 1 July 2023, handicapped persons were no longer required to pull a ticket from the nearest pay kiosk, and that Tampa no longer charged a fee for people with a handicapped plate or placard. 717 has assessed a fine of $35.00 for an unpaid parking fee and a $40.00 Notice Fee. This practice seems particularly predatory considering the dearth of available handicapped parking spaces throughout the city of *****. Interestingly enough, Tampa has waived any fee for handicapped persons with valid plate/placard for any metered street parking spot. I have attached a copy of the parking notice.

I parked in parking lot in downtown, and there was no attendant present. I figured when i come back i'd pay for parking. I came back to my car an hour later and there was a receipt/invoice on my windshield from 717 parking. $25 parking fee that i hadnt paid ******** $40 admin fee. I found the attendant and asked him what the admin fee was and he was not responsive and didnt want to help at all, directed me to the website link on the paper. If the parking fees are paid online and i happened to come back to my car shortly after i parked the car, what is this ridicilous admin fee for? This is a parking cartel who think they can charge consumers any amount they wish just because its a private parking lot. The attendant wouldnt waive the fee nor talk to me even about my complaint. I think it is absurd and should be illegal to keep these scammers scam people in ***** for a simply parking. I am willing to of course pay the $25 parking fee but why the admin fee of $40????

      Business response

      05/22/2024

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us.

Our standard procedure requires payment upon parking to ensure that you do not incur any additional charges. Also it is important to note that the notice fee is the penalty for not paying the parking fee.

On 2/9/2024 I used the 717 app to pay for parking in Ybor City. I followed the prompts in order, using Apple Pay as my payment method. The app immediately processed the transaction and there was no opportunity to update the plate number to my current plate. I received a notice to pay the fee again and a fine, I have emailed twice and the response was sorry the plate number did not match. There was NO opportunity to amend the plate number- my account has been charged for the parking fee. I need the fine and repayment dismissed- this is a faulty app that is generating a money grab for this company!

I paid with mobile for parking in Lot 13/Zone ****. The receipt that was generated does not reflect 717 and 717 issued me a $70 parking citation for not paying. They are now saying they don't recognize the receipt and expect payment. "We apologize for the inconvenience." is their only response. Show some ****** I should not be charged again, and should not be threatened with collection or towing of my vehicle.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Outside of this response,  it was confirmed by 717 that there was fraudulent activity occuring at their parking locations through the use of fake QR codes for payment. My 717 citation was voided. Thanks.

      Sincerely,

After parking for a Lightning game, I used the ParkMobile app to park in a 717 parking lot. I've done this before. On this occasion, the app continued to push me back to my default car, which I was not using. I tried four times and it kept doing it. On the fifth try, I paid my $35 for parking and it looked like the app took the other car information. Apparently, it didn't. When I returned, there was a parking ticket on my windshield. You can't call 717, only email, so I emailed them what happened. They blamed it on the app. I called ParkMobile. At least they had someone you could talk to, but they told me too bad as well. So now 717, who knows I paid for parking and about the app situation, wants me to pay for parking again a second time as well as a fee. They reek of greed and their customer service is non-existent.
