I received a parking ticket in the lot L39 in Ybor City, ** on Saturday, October 28th. at 6:23 pm.I had actually paid using ParkMobile and received the receipt, however I have recently moved to ******* from Virginia and I had got my plates switched to ******* plates, but simply forgot to update my new license info in ParkMobile. The attached receipt still shows my Virginia plates. I had sent them irrefutable evidence as well as attached a photo of me holding my old plates next to my new plates as additional proof, as well as photos of VIN number and my old and new license and registration showing that this in fact the same vehicle that had its parking paid for. They refused to acknowledge the mistake and will not void the ticket, based on a purely logistical mistake. They received my payment to park and ticketed me despite this. The fact that they will not void this situation cruel and rudeBusiness Response

The company errantly gave us a parking ticket even though the parking space was appropriately paid for. Once documentation of the payment was provided to their support representatives, they refuse to remove the charges.Business Response

I parked in a lot with used the correct number the ParkMobile app. However, I did not realize that my license plate number had changed since the last time I parked. I paid through the app, but came back to find a ticket on my car. I immediately sent a screenshot from within the app, showing the remaining time on my paid account, as well as a copy of the receipt that 717 emailed me showing that I paid. I let them know that I had just not updated the license plate within the app and it was just human error. They declined my Dispute of the ticket. It was $25.49 to Park and they wanted to charge me an additional $25 plus a $40 fine for a misunderstanding. Despite my efforts to prove that I had paid for parking, they would not reconsider the additional charges. This company has nothing but complaints regarding their fees, fines and damages to the cars. It is absolutely insane that they think this is how to treat customers.Business Response

My 16 year old son received a parking ticket due to unpaid $13 unpaid fee plus a $40 notice is excessive. First off teenagers do not have credit cards there should be another way to pay. He went for his football teams dinner at Hattricks and didnt think you to pay to park to go to a restaurant. Downtown parking is ridiculous and you shouldnt be charged an additional $40. Have people out there to collect money or instruct them. Several other boys on the team received parking tickets too like they were just waiting to give them a ticket rather than educate them smh. Paying the unpaid fee is one thing but an additional $40 is crazy.Business Response

Hello!
Unfortunately, as a privately owned parking lot company we dont offer free parking to anyone at any time. We have different methods of payment in place to accommodate all guests, such as our mobile app. Most, if not all, city and privately owned parking lots downtown are pay to park. Please reach out to our support team if you would like further assistance at *************************************.Thank you for reaching out and sorry for the inconvenience!

I am rejecting this response because: I was not asking for free parking I was suggesting to have different ways to pay for those that do not have credit cards they have cash to pay with.
Sincerely,

I drove my girlfriend to the *** Hospital emergency room on September 10, 2023 sometime around 10-10:30am. I gave my car to valet and went inside. I was approached in the waiting room by the valet shortly after with report that my steering wheel had been broken off. The valet apologized and took me to my car which was parked downstairs behind another vehicle. I confirmed that the steering wheel and column had been broken and pulled out. The car was completely inoperable. I had to have it towed to repair shop- A&D Automotives for repair. I reached out to the Hospital Parking department who was very helpful and they wrote up a report that was sent to the valet company 717. I provided picture evidence, pictures of the report from the tow company, and the quote from the mechanic for the repairs. I called them with no answer and left a message. I never received a return call, but they did email me stating: after their "investigation", they determined that, "They determined this was due to common wear and tear or a mechanical failure, and would not be accepting liability". No one at the company ever inspected the car or had any professional inspect the car. I finally received the car back a week and a half later. I spoke with the mechanic who informed me this was NOT from wear and tear or mechanical failure. He told me to provide his number to 717 if they needed more information. They emailed me back today September 21, stating they spoke with the mechanic and "there was not enough factual information provided to agree to pay for the damages". The car was completely fine before I entered the hospital, and only has 85K miles on it. But they somehow determined with no inspection of the vehicle that this was still normal wear and tear. All I asked for was reimbursement of $783 for the repairs of the damages their driver did. I did not even include the cost of towing the vehicle, or the cost of not having my car for a week and a half, using rideshares. Wish I never would have valeted my car.Business Response

On August 26, 2023, my elderly mother and I were visiting *****. We stopped in Ybor City to have dinner. We parked in parking lot location L39/Zone ****. We tried to pay our ticket at the kiosk. However, it was not working. Unfortunately, I am unable to download apps on my phone due to storage and cost. I searched around for anyone to help. No one was available. Each person who came up after me had the same issue as not being able to pay at the kiosk. My mother needed to get out of the heat, so I left the car lot to take her to her destination. Upon returning, we found a ticket stating we owed $65, which isnt the amount to even park in the lot. How are people supposed to pay for a parking lot if the machines dont work? I was willing to pay the $25 fee to park there, but was unable. And now Im being charged an additional $40 fee just to print a receipt? Maybe the kiosks should work. There were also over 20 other vehicles parked there with tickets in the same situation. My question is what are they doing with the $40 service fee?I sent in a dispute and they denied my dispute saying I owe them $65. I have a video that my son took, but it wont let me upload. When you try to call them, nobody helps you resolve the issue.Business Response

Similar to many other complaints. This business functions off of shady practices. They have parkmobile signs around the lot which is also the sponsor of their own personal app. The sign has 717 parking next to the park mobile logo. I paid parkmobile for 2 hours of parking a reasonable 5 dollars. I received a ticket for 25 dollars in parking fees and a 40 dollar fee for the attendant to charge me. This business clearly has a monopoly in ***** and is engaging in predatory practicesBusiness Response

I visited 717 parking lot 8/22/2023 in *****. I saw they had options to pay by machine, 717 parking app powered by park mobile, or download park mobile app to pay. I have used park mobile app at their parking lot before and found my zone number **** and paid for 2 hour parking from 9:29am-11:29am. I came back from my work meeting before my time was up and found a citation parking notice ********** for unpaid parking $12 and notice fee $40, total amount due $52. I saw email support on the receipt so I emailed them copy of my park mobile receipt for parking and explained situation, they responded back I needed to fill out a dispute form which I did. They emailed me back and said it was denied because the receipt was not from a company they use which was incorrect. I paid the fee online totaling $57 to avoid any legal or towing issues while I work on disputing this in the meantime. I am sure this is incorrect and I paid for my parking the correct way this should have been done. I would like to be refunded for my $57 since I have proof I paid for this parking. I am available to provide additional information regarding to this matter as well. I have attached parking notice and receipts of payment for that day. I always pay my parking and have never had an issue and understand errors happen. My license plate number assigned to this is ******.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I feel like this company has misrepresented their parking app due to the affiliation with park mobile. I have read more complaints online regarding this company and other consumers having the same issues and the company refusing to refund the fee or refund the filing notice. They are not willing to work with any of the consumers. I parked for two hours, paid on my app that I was under the impression I was paying the company, and I am stuck with paying $57 to pay for two hours of parking. That is not right and this should be refunded as a courtesy.
Sincerely,

On July 21st 2023 my partner parked our car in a lot (****************************************) witch featured a ParkMoblie app sign with a zone number asking for payment via the app. He paid for over 7 hours of parking (until 6am) via the app in parking zone ****. We have never had an issue parking in this lot and paying via the ParkMobile app in the past, and have done so two other times within the last year. When he returned at around 3 am, the car was gone, so he called the number on a sign nearby indicating unpaid parkers would be towed, and sure enough, the car had been towed. He paid for an Uber to go to the tow lot and then paid to receive the car back into our possession. The towing company said they were called and authorized by 717 parking to tow the car, and we also got a parking notice/fine from 717 which was on the car when it was received back from the tow company. The total cost of the ordeal, including the uber to the tow lot and the actual payment we made for parking was over $300. Losing this money created hardship for us. I called 717 parking and someone in customer service told me to email the complaint with all appropriate documentation to their support email address. On July 26th 2023 I emailed them a description of the unlawful towing, authorized by them or their representative, the invoice from the towing company and the receipt of that invoice's payment, our proof of payment via the app for that day and time and zone, and the fine/notice from them. The automated reply said it could take up to four bossiness days to receive a reply. It has now been 12. Yesterday (August 10th 2023) I tried to call them again since I got no response to my email and could not connect to a person despite multiple tries. It's almost like they put my number on a do not answer list because getting someone on the phone the first time was not difficult. I left a message asking for a call back and have not yet received one. I also sent another email. This company is predatory.Business Response
