      I have paid my premiums to Delta Dental for 3 years.They refuse to pay 50% for a root canal.3 years, $70 per month, and they paid out a lousy $300 for a $2000 claim. THEY ARE CROOKS and a SCAM.I cancelled my "insurance" today and will put it in a bank account for ********************** care instead.What a disgusting company.I would give zero stars if possible.

      Delta Dental is a scam and does not cover anything except 6 month cleanings. The cost of monthly insurance is prohibitive and it is less expensive to pay out of pocket. They wont even pay for anesthesia for an extraction. I might as well be ***************** on a deserted island doing my own dental work. You are thieves and shysters who are lining your pockets and harming people by not giving access to vital healthcare. Dental health directly affects ones ability TO EAT. Truly disgusting. I hope you go bankrupt and no one bails you out, you morally corrupt troglodytes

      They sold me a plan ("Clear Plan") that literally no dentists anywhere within 25 miles of me will take. I can't find anyone in ************. So, I've been paying all this time for a service that I can't use. This is not a company that I will ever, ever work with again. Stay away.

      Horrible to work with over the phone. I tried for almost two hours to get an answer to a fairly simple situation. The automated service is difficult to navigate and when you get an operator, it seems they either hang up or put you on hold for another operator. I had to make nine phone call attempts only to find out if you go through the exchange program, you don't get coverage until two months after you sign up. Check into all the coverage and options before you commit. I would not recommend this company.

      After waiting a year, as required, to do a root canal, and the go ahead after several telephone calls regarding how to proceed with reimbursement, I did the procedure 12/4/23. I waited a month before calling about the reimbursement and was told they were waiting on the dentist to send the ************. The ** rep connected me to the dentist's office and they discussed the missing info, which was sent previously. It was resubmitted while on the call. I called back a few weeks later and was informed I needed to do a reauthorization, which the past reps failed to tell me about so I filed a grievance. This morning I got a letter that they were denying my request for the 50% their reps told me I would receive, and that 60 miles is considered reasonable for me to drive to do a root canal. They also said they sent me a check which I'm telling them I have not received and was told that they would not cancel and reissue the check because if a signatureon file, so basically tough luck! Ihave bit received a check from them and i don't understand their refusal to track the check, cancel and reissue it. Laziness and showing they care nothing about the customer. I told ******* I was disappointed and it's just another case of insurance fraud and the big company not keeping their word to the small man. They either need to train up their reps or stand by their word. I pay my premiums and get nothing in return. I see from reviews that this type of behavior is nothing new for **. If there was an option for less than 1 star I would select it. Shameful! Reissue the check and show that you care! Lazy!

      Delta dental has failed to send reimbursement checks for claims filed September 2023 4 times now. These checks have been supposedly reissued multiple times. It is now almost February ****. However, they certainly know where the post office is, as they responded to a complaint by mail within 3 business days. They also told me over the phone that reimbursement for fillings was 90%. Even when I clarified this was an out of network provider, the representatives stated it was 90%. The actual check, if it ever comes, is for less than 25% of that bill. This is incredible frustrating for me as a user. This ********************** should be embarrassed.

      I had an implant installed - which is a covered procedure - but this outfit denied payment on the grounds that they "don't have a record of that tooth removal" therefore, I was born without it. It's so ridiculous on many fronts. For example, even I know that gap from teeth missing from birth or even removed at early age gets closed because adjacent teeth expand so no implant can be installed. I requested an arbitration, and their "dentist" accomplice (no name provided) concluded that the rejection was justified.If this is not criminal, I don't know what is...

      Worst scam ever! I don't know why ****** Permanente which is a 5 star rated health plan, would attach themselves to this ******************** as a "********************** Benefit" provider, The Delta Dental website is of ZERO help to anyone trying to figure what is covered if anything. On my first visit to a contracted dentist I was charged closed to $500.00 dollars for a check up and gum treatment, I was told that Delta Dental was not covering anything in my visit (cleaning included). **************** requests are only via email messaging, there is no way for me to reach anyone to ask what if anything at all is covered by these people, and by the looks of their 1 star rating, why aren't they being investigated? Next open enrollment I am disenrolling from this so called "benefit". ****** needs to change Dental Services providers that are ruining their good reputation as a ****** Care Provider.

      I got this AARP sponsored insurance policy (filed complaint: Delta Dental Case APP-******) not realizing that there are only a few dentists who accept this insurance in all of ****** (about 400 square miles). I wanted to cancel this policy and be reimbursed 100% since I never used this policy this year because of the pathetic choice of dentists. I am being denied any reimbursement due to the "timeframe for buyer's remorse" which I never saw documented anywhere in their literature. I do not consider an insurance policy that only offers few dentists serving an almost 400 square mile region (******) to be much of a policy. At the beginning of the year there were many more dentists available. However, I started my dentist search in late October through early November and never imagined there would be so few dentists serving all of the ****** area. Considering one of the dentists has been punished by the state dental board makes their choice of available dentists even more absurd. As such, I do not consider their buyer's remorse argument to be valid in my case. Had I known there would be so few dentists (10) serving my area I would never have even considered getting this pathetic policy.

      I HOPE this gets to the wonderful woman that helped me on 11.29.2023, I meant to stay on the line and take the survey but its my habit to just end the call -- she was so lovely and helped me through step by step until the problem was solved. Lovely woman. She said she lived in ******** - and she was an absolute gem on the phone!!! Amazing customer service. We chatted for a good bit while I was trying to figure out my account <3
