      I have tried to contact EarthLinks customer service **** to cancel my service for a day now. Each called disconnected me after 60 minutes. Its ridiculous they make it extremely difficult to cancel after two years. Customers cant cancel, if they are not given an opportunity to speak to an actual assistant. Im sure EarthLink will make excuses, but this is just ridiculous.

      Hello Mr. ****************** am sorry Mr. ****** experienced difficulties when he called to cancel his internet service. I was able to locate Mr. Rangel account and confirmed that it was successfully canceled on 8/24/2025. Again, I apologize for the inconvenience Mr. ********************** during the cancellation process.

      Plenty of people have said it scammed and trusted credit. I never singed a thing but I was singed up for a year of service that got the prices jacked up and when im canceling due to the price they want to charge 200 for canceling absolutely not.

      Hello Mr. ************** sorry to hear that Mr. ****************** misled during the sales process. After reviewing his account, I can confirm that all services were approved at the time of sale. The sales agent reviewed the monthly charges with Mr. ******** explained that installation fees would apply, and informed you that the added services would be free for the first 30 days.
      In addition, the terms were provided to Mr. **************** text message and in the Welcome Email. These terms must be agreed to before a sale can be processed, which confirms your acceptance.
      Please be aware that if the account is canceled prior to the end of the contract, an early termination fee will apply.

      EarthLink scams people. My elderly mom thought she was calling Spectrum to update her plan, the sales rep ****** said he was with spectrum (a complete lie). He said there was a promotion that they were running but she would be getting internet through ***** He told her all her billing would still come from Spectrum. Then she gets a bill from EarthLink (shes never heard the word EarthLink until now- so calls her credit card company). When I call to try to resolve the issue ****** insists that EarthLink is in fact associated with Spectrum (Spectrum denies this up and down and so does a quick internet search). Asked to cancel service and of course was told it would be a $200 fee, asked yesterday for the request to be escalated since on a recorded line they blatantly lied over and over about multiple things. Waiting for a call from escalation team. Of course we now have a **** modem that will also have to be returned Im assuming to ****, even though the service is throughEarthlink? I have been told that I will get a call today. If the issue is resolved I will update review, but based on all reviews Im seeing, I am not hopeful.

      Hello Ms. ****************** sorry to hear that Ms. ****** elderly mother was confused about her internet provider. To clarify, she is receiving her internet service through EarthLink, not Spectrum, and all billing is handled solely by EarthLink. 
      As noted in our agreement, there is a cancellation fee of up to $200.00 if the account is canceled before the end of the contract term. 
      I am part of the Executive Relations Team, and at this time, I have not received an official escalation on Ms. ****** behalf. In order for me to assist, I kindly ask that Ms. ***** send an email to *************************************************** with my name in the subject line. Please also include Ms. ******  valid photo ID so I can verify the account and provide support for her mother. 
      I do want to look further into what happened with Ms. ****** mothers account; however, without this information, I am unable to proceed at this time.

      Hace una Semana contrate el servicio desde inicio todo Mal para empezar dejaron el moden en otro domicilio y seguido desde nunca eh tenido internet cada que llamo puras mentiras y todos dicen lo misno 5 **** y nunca tuve internet Ahora me dicen que tengo que llevar yo personalmente el moden a *** para que puedan hacerme mi reembolso cuando nunca dicen nada de eso desde el inicio y si no resulta que no me daran mi reembolso mas de *********************************************** 400 dlls osea los del problema de conexion son ustedes el peor servicio de internet los peores tecnicos y atencion a clientes ni se diga

      Hola Sr. ************************* que su servicio WHI haya tenido mltiples problemas de conexin y que desee un reembolso por la falta de uso. Al revisar la cuenta del Sr. ********** veo que an se encuentra activa, por lo que en este momento no es posible procesar un reembolso, ya que hemos iniciado el envo de un nuevo mdem.

      Con respecto a la devolucin del mdem, enviamos a nuestros clientes una etiqueta de envo sin costo y solicitamos que lleven el equipo para ser retornado. En caso de que el mdem no sea devuelto, se aplicar un cargo por no devolucin.

      Una vez que se resuelva la situacin con el nuevo mdem, con gusto acreditaremos a la cuenta el tiempo en que el servicio estuvo inactivo.

      This company is completely deceitful and are out to scam people. The first month I signed up for the 100 g plan. I was living alone and was gone two weeks out of the month with nothing running. It was used up within a few days. Last month I signed up for the highest package over $100. 6 days later theyre sending me messages Ive used up 100% of the high speed. 6 days! And thats operating one television for a few hours in the evening. They assured me that this would be plenty sufficient to carry me through the month. They want to sell add on data so they shut you off saying youve used it all when it is impossible. They should be ran out of business s******* people over lying to them.

      We had their service for a a year when suddenly, we kept losing connection. Multiple calls were placed to get the message that call volume was high due to shipping concerns and please leave your number. Did that several times only for them to call and leave voice mails with a number that did not connect you to a representative. Next, we tried the texting method. This took several minutes to get a response of which minimal effort was made initially. After a couple weeks of nothing getting done, ai demanded to speak to a manger. She was "busy". The *** tried the same trouble shooting again, which did not work and credited my bill for the loss of service and promised that a manger would follow up that night to make sure our service continued to work, which it did not nor did the call happen. I place another call and demand this time to speak to manager and refused to speak to anyone else. Finally, she takes the call and determines we need a new router and assured us we would have it in 2-3 business days. Those days rolled around and no router showed up. Made another contact who said there was a mix up on their end and the router would come in another 2 to 3 days. Never did. Placed another contact and finally the router came. Th3 amount of times I was asked to be patient was astounding and infuriating. Got th3 new router and it doesn't fix the issue. Contact them again where we asked to patiently wait again as there is an outage and give them a call back in 24 hours. 72 hours later still no service and so I called and asked to be disconnected. At this point, ai was pushed through to someone else who again tried all the trouble shooting just to end the call with, "Im sorry but we are unable to service you anymore with the new upgrades and I will begin your disconnection". I was continuously dismissed, unheard and extremely dissatisfied. I would not recommend them to anyone. I am seeking a comple refund even the 50 that they said I couldn't get back.

It is not EarthLinks policy to promise a callback and then fail to follow through, and I sincerely apologize for the lack of support provided during this frustrating time. The absence of understanding and empathy is not reflective of EarthLinks values, as we strive to ensure every customer receives the best possible experience when they need our assistance. Again, I do apologize ***** did not have the best customer experience. 
      Regarding your request for a full refund, we will not be able to refund the entire amount; however, I have processed a $50.83 refund for you. Beyond this amount, we will not be issuing additional refunds.

      300 GB goes by extremely fast even when youre not home. And thats the highest data plan they have and its 100 bucks! And once the 300 is gone the WiFi completely goes out it doesnt just slow down it completely stops until you are forced to buy more data. And you cant let the plan start early so youre without WiFi for how many days you have until it restarts. For 100 bucks a month that is a rip off!! Please make this your very last option. Youre better off hot spotting off your phone instead of using this! They are not worth the money! And it is a hassle to cancel the service they do not answer the phone and give you the run around!

      Hello Ms. ****************** am sorry Ms. ****** was not given the proper sales expectations at the time of the sale. Due to the number of devices, she planned to connect to the internet, she would have needed to prioritize usage. Depending on the type of devices and how they were being used, this could have impacted her connection and overall performance. Since our wireless internet is subject to data caps, even on unlimited plans, speeds will decrease once the data threshold is reached, which can result in buffering. Again, I apologize that Ms. ****** was not provided with accurate information regarding the data limits and their potential impact.

      Earthlink is a scam, they charged me for service after I canceled my service, they continued to charge me and tell me they can't cancel the service until I make a payment. They keep charging me monthly for additional services that were supposed to be canceled when I originally canceled my service. They do not tell you that the service they cancel is only the fiber service and not the additional services that they provide through a different company nortan and fiber security. They take no accountability either. Now they wont cancel the additional service unless I make a payment to 0 out the account. They should be liable for not including it as part of cancelation and not informing that it needs to be canceled. Don't waste your time with earthlink.

      Hello Mr. ******************** am sorry Mr. ******** was upset with his account, so I wanted to make sure we handled Mr. ********* account properly. If there is a payment due to EarthLink because payment rejection and then the account gets suspended/disconnected, the payment that is owed must be paid. I do see that there was a cancellation in May but then in ***************** called us to have his service reconnected promptly, but Mr. ******** stated he would call back if he decided to get new internet service with us. I see where the added service was reactivated, so I have credited the account $41.88, and inactivated the account. I do apologize about the confusion but I have cleared the account and the account is active so Mr. ******** will not be charged going forward.

      This company is a complete scam. I started service on a Friday and regretted my decision. Today is Monday and I've called 3 times and left a call back number and no one has returned my call. I tried calling back a fourth time and now the system is saying no one is available and it automatically hangs up the phone. I've reached out via chat and they will not help. I want my service cancelled. ******** customer service.

      Dear Ms. ************* sorry to hear Ms. *********************** issues when canceling your account the multiple times she has tried to call in. I see that Ms. ********************* us on July 29, 2025, and her account has since been successfully canceled.
      Additionally, a refund of $39.95 has been issued back to the card on file.

      Sad to say. My review is no different. Spoke with a representative over the phone at the local office. Said that I'd be receiving an email. Didn't receive that. Made a request via text about a quote and screenshots of the devices. They were very evasive. Did not follow the request that I had already given.Don't waste your time or effort with this "monopoly."It's just as shady and as dark as their competitor ********.

      Hello Mr. ***************** am sorry Mr. Gibbs had multiple issues when he contacted us for assistance. I was able to locate Mr. ***** account, and I do not see where there were any case notes regarding issues with his email account as that is what he has with EarthLink. If there is an issue with Mr. ****** internet and he wants to see what devices are attached, depending on the modem Mr. ***** can log into the modem to see what all is attached. We are always happy to assist Mr. ***** with his issue to get him up and running.
