GreenSky reviewed the customers account  and confirmed that the customer signed a contract with her merchant authorizing the financing of the GreenSky loan and made payments on the loan as well.  The customer has previously been provided with her loan documents and payment history to validate the debt owed.  GreenSky has an obligation to report accurate account information to the consumer reporting agencies in compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act and will not be able to remove the account from her ********************** reporting .  GreenSky has attempted to reach the customer to advise her of the status of her account but she has been unresponsive. It is GreenSkys mission to provide exceptional service and we will continue to improve our process.

I entered into a contract with Patio Enclosures on 6/8/24, which I canceled within the 3 business day period. I mailed the cancellation notice on 6/10/24 via **** Express 2-day, signature requested, with a scheduled delivery date of 6/12/24 by 6:00 PM. It was received by Patio Enclosures on 6/13/24 at 11:45 AM. I do not control **** delivery, however, it was received and signed for by a "PS" (signature illegible). GreenSky was cc'd regarding the cancellation by email. They emailed me on 6/11/24 stating "Per your request, we have closed your account effective immediately. You will receive a closed account letter by mail in 7-10 business days," which was sent by "Your Customer Advocate, FS." I have not received a closing letter; all I received was a packet from GreenSky stating "Congratulations on your project with Green Day Improvements, LLC **********." Patio Enclosures received a deposit of approximately $3,636.52, which ********************* of Great Day Improvements reassured me on 6/10/24 that "The deposit has been reversed." GreenSky neither had nor has a right to receive any payments since this contract was canceled by me. I want this matter closed out; all 3 credit bureaus notified that this was closed at my request; I want the open credit limit of $12,122.00 closed out since this was canceled by me; I want every company involved in this transaction to cease and desist calling, emailing, texting, or contacting me in any way (other than to advise through the BBB that this matter is now closed). I will not do business with companies who receive and send money to which they are not entitled and to which I am under no obligation to pay since my contract was canceled. My Notice of Cancellation was mailed at 9:25 AM on 6/10/24, the first business day after signing the contract, Saturday is not a business day. I do not control the ****. Patio Enclosures received the cancellation; this matter needs to be closed once and for all. You cannot legally force a contract on anyone!

I am rejecting this response because:

They have not provided proof that the credit bureaus were informed that I no longer have an open credit account with them or any other company(ies) involved in this matter. I do not wish to have a credit report pulled on my personal credit file showing that I have open credit available of $12,000+. Please provide proof that the credit bureaus (all three and any of which I am unaware) have been notified that this was closed at my request and that there are no negative consequences on my part.

GreenSky was able to speak with the customer and he confirmed that the merchant did explain an interest free plan to him, but he decided to go with another plan instead to give him more time to pay off the loan.  GreenSky confirmed with the customer that making payments above the minimum amount due each month will assist in making the balance go down faster.  The customer was satisfied and did not have any other questions or concerns.  At GreenSky we strive for excellent customer service and will continue to improve our process.

I bought a new HVAC system from business name Fleetwell Air. They had a loan servicing partner named GreenSky. I paid a large deposit and rest of the $6,500 GreenSjy was to cover all under an "umbrella" of a promotion of the the typical "12 months same as cash" where nothing had to be paid, including interest as described. They were to then send the loan agreement after sigjng on April 11. I received anything until May for now a statement surprisingly billing me for $285. as "minimum payment" all the while it showed interest already accumulating. I guess their catch is if the loan *** is paid by the promo period the interest is waived. I never once heard those terms. So, I reached GreenSky. Their customer service was non existence. I requested the 3-way call with ********* be pulled to confirm what I told vs what I signed. They refused and requested proof but the call would be my proof. Anyways they refused to do anything about it so we are at a stalemate here with interest and potentially negative credit report against me with then refusing to do nothing. Any help?

We contacted the customer by phone and via email asking him to contact us for assistance.  Based on our records, the customers loan documents were provided to him during the activation process on 4-11-2024.  On 4-12-2024, the loan documents were mailed to the customers address listed on his account. On 6-25-2024, a request was submitted to resend the loan documents to the customer.  The customers promotional information is listed on his monthly statements.  Beginning with the first transaction, the customer was approved for a 12- month promotional period with 12 payments.  The interest is billed during the promotional period, but all the interest is waived if the account balance is paid in full by the promotional expiration date of 5-19-2025.   At GreenSky we strive for excellent customer service, and we will continue to improve our process.

Greensky financial facilitated a loan for home improvements. After the job was supposedly complete, 5 years later, a fungus begin growing from the wood. It was discovered that this fungus was growing because the job was not completed, as indicated in the pictures and the attached letter from the manufacturer. We attemped to contact the contractor and it was discovered they had gone out of business. Subsequently we contacted Greensky as a recourse. Greensky opened and closed the complaint twice without communicating with me. After the third time, Greensky made a decision without considering the documentation. After the documents were sent again, they were reviewed with Greensky making the determination the complaint was passed their limitations. We reported the damage and incomplete work as soon as it was discovered. Additionally, the contractor and Greensky have preyed on me as an elderly individual. We were over-charged and Greensky has refused to budge regarding this matter. They have added a negative **** on my credit history even though they did not communicate what the investigation status was.

We called the customers daughter and reviewed his complaint about quality of the work provided by the merchant. It was explained to her that GreenSky is a loan servicing company and does not guarantee the quality of goods and services received by the home improvement provider/merchant. The merchant is no longer in the GreenSky program.  Our investigation determined that the customer signed a contract with the merchant on 9-10-2018 and he authorized his GreenSky loan to pay the merchant for his project.  The merchant processed a transaction to the customers ********************** loan on *********.  Initially, the customer stated he noticed the paint was bleeding through and he contacted the merchant. The merchant returned for service, and they resolved his complaint.  Later, the customer stated the coating was peeling, cracking and bubbling.  He contacted the merchant, and the merchant was unresponsive.  As a courtesy, GreenSky notified the merchant of the customers complaint about the coating.  The merchant was unresponsive.   Previously, the customers complaint was reviewed for vulnerable population and there were no vulnerable population concerns found.  While we do understand that a fugus begin growing from the wood 5 years after the job was completed, any complaint about the products or services provided by the merchant must be resolved by the merchant. At GreenSky we strive for excellent customer service, and we will continue to improve our process.

      Complaint: 21878955

I am rejecting this response because:

After 3 complaints, this is the first written explanation from Greensky, and it is clear the company  did not comprehend the issue. Greensky stated the merchant returned to the property to resolve the complaint. The contractor never returned  to resolve any issue. A third party was called to assess the damage.  Secondly, the contract was signed under false pretenses; as mentioned several times, the work was not completed.  Further, as elderly individuals, the contractor took advantage of us by inflating the price of work at least 40%  more than the going rate at that time.  In previous telephone conversations, Greensky has said this is  warranty issue, but could not provide information regarding  a warranty.  The product manufacturer has stated in a previously attached letter they could not fix it under warranty because the job was not done to manufacturer's specifcations.

Greensky has the means to help resolve this situation. Greensky agrees that work was not completed; yet they continue to insist payment for a proven incomplete job that requires more money to correct.

      Sincerely,

      4. They cite their  rules regarding complaints, but have not presented them  in written form.

      5. They agreed to work with a contractor who took advantage of elderly individuals.

The merchant was notified of the customers complaint. We followed up with the customer and he became unresponsive. The customers complaint case was closed. We received a letter from the customers daughter dated 6-30-2023 which included a warranty claim letter from Tex* Cote regarding their product and the quality of work performed by the merchant. I am rejecting this response because: Greensky has stated that they tried to contact us after complaints. This is not the truth. This is criminal behavior and preying on the elderly.

We currently have an open complaint with the CA ******************** and trying to resolve this as quickly as possible.  Since Greensky has no resolution and apparently content with providing false narratives, we are asking that the account be suspended for 1 year to give us time to resolve this problem.

Greensky did not charge me according to the established monthly payments and has been charging me *****% interest for the loan as it has now exceeded the 18-month repayment period. GreenSky did not provide an automatic monthly deduction in the amount I was informed it would so as to repay the loan within 18 months. I have paid $1,355.22 to date per the attached account extract. I owe $494.78 which will total $1,850, the loan I was provided with and what I owed. I paid the $494.78 today, June 18, 2024, and have requested GreenSky to terminate the remainder of my loan. I will not be providing additional payments and have informed GreenSky as such. Hi,I applied for financing through Tuff Shed financing. On their website which has since changed and I have pictures to show this change it states that they do a soft credit check NOT a HARD PULL. The Tuff Shed representative sent me a link and I filled it out and signed it. Later I checked my credit report for another reason and saw the GreenSkyinquiry on my report. I reached out and told them what happened and ******** said they would investigate to have it removed and also verified on website that it said of soft pull. I spoke to ****** at Greensky who said that my signture makes this a credit application and that it cannot be removed and that it's a soft pull for prequalification from Tuff Shed that was the soft pull. Greensky and TuffShed need to get their information correct as this is misleading to consumers, I did a second app with my fiancee to see if it could be my income was too low and I never would have done so if I wasn't under the impression that the inquiry was a soft pull. We called the customer and reviewed his complaint details, specifically issues regarding the quality of the work received by his Merchant. GreenSky is a loan servicing company and does not guarantee the quality of goods and services received by the home improvement provider/merchant. Previously, as a courtesy, the merchant was notified of the customer's complaint, and they stated the shower installations were completed. Our investigation determined that the customer was not satisfied with the quality of the work performed by the merchant.  He contacted the merchant and they returned for service.  The customer still was not satisfied with the quality of work performed by the merchant.  The customer hired another contractor to redo his shower installations and he feels he should not be responsible for the loan. While we do understand the customer's desired resolution is to be compensated for the additional funds he spent, any issues with the products or services provided by the merchant must be resolved with the merchant.  At GreenSky we strive for excellent customer service, and we will continue to improve our process.
