I paid off my loan with Lendmark Financial in full back in 2020. However, the account is still being reported on my credit report. I am requesting that Lendmark update the account to reflect that it was paid in full and ensure that it is not negatively impacting my credit score. I have made multiple attempts to resolve this, but the issue remains. I am seeking assistance in having this matter corrected promptly.

On 8/16/2024 I purchased a truck part for same as cash for one year and paid it off 3/16/25. They were adamant when I called them regarding the same as cash agreement stating I would not be charged interest until after a year had passed, then would be subject to ******% and is normal. I called them when I received my first invoice that included $361.32 in addition to the $1,343.88. They stated they were recording the call and said great, so am I. They quickly stated they are not comfortable and hung up. I called back to speak to the manager and he confirmed the same as cash agreement and the extra amount would not be paid. They charged it and received this arbitration statement document and they cancelled my account online. This is deceptive practices and needs to be stopped. They need to pay me back and stop the deception.

      Dear ****** ********,

Lendmark Financial Services, LLC (hereinafter referred to as Lendmark) is in receipt of your consumer complaint. We have had the opportunity to review the complaint and have addressed your concerns as follows.

You obtained a precomputed sales finance installment secured by consumer goods with Lendmark on August 16, 2024, in which $******* was paid to a third party on your behalf for goods. As fully disclosed in the Disclosure Statement, Promissory Note, and Security Agreement, the original amount financed of $ *******, interest rate of *****%, for a total payment of $1705.20 to be repaid over 24 months in $ ***** monthly payments. This installment loan had a 12-month, same as cash option in which you would repay your loan with zero interest if paid in full within 12 months. You made six payments of $200.00 and one payment of $143.88 in recurring payments for a total of $******* and subsequently this account was paid off on March ******* within the 12 months zero interest period.

For further clarification, a precomputed installment loan account, the starting balance or the total of payments on the loan reflects both a principal and an interest component and each payment made on the loan is applied to reduce the total of payments. Additionally, the total amount of interest is computed at the inception of the loan and does not change; however, since you paid the account off early, a refund of $361.32 the unearned interest was applied to the account.

We believe this satisfies the requirements of your inquiry.

      Sincerely,

      Lendmark Compliance Department

I am filing this complaint because my credit report contains unverified accounts that I do not recognize. These accounts are appearing under my name without my authorization, and I have every reason to believe they may be linked to a data breach or fraudulent activity. I take my financial security seriously, and I refuse to allow false or unverifiable information to damage my credit standing. These inaccuracies are actively harming my financial stability, and I demand immediate action to correct them.Despite my repeated attempts to obtain verification, I have not received any legitimate proof that these accounts belong to me. This blatant lack of transparency is a direct violation of my consumer rights. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) 15 U.S.C. 1681g, I am demanding full documentation proving the validity of these accounts, including:Company Name: LENDMARK Account Number: ******* Reported Balance: $9,442.00 I require real, verifiable proof such as original account applications, signed agreements, or transaction records confirming their legitimacy. A generic response stating that the account has been "verified" is not acceptable. If no such documentation exists, these accounts must be immediately removed under FCRA Section 611(a)(5)(A)(i), which mandates the deletion of unverifiable information from consumer credit reports.Additionally, I am filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) against them, as this company has failed to provide proper documentation proving the validity of the reported account. Their refusal to supply supporting records and their failure to conduct a legitimate verification process are clear violations of federal law. I expect an immediate investigation and a full response addressing this issue.
