I don't know who this is. I saw I had a missed call yesterday and that the caller was from "FAMs," So I looked them up and saw that the complaints and that someone said they had emailed them as well. So I checked my email and saw that I had two emails from them from the day before yesterday. With all my personal info in it, requesting that I download an attached document, by entering the last four numbers of my social security number to do so. I received another missed call today. None of these calls have left any type of message, and I'm definitely not downloading any document by entering my social security number. I want them to stop contacting and calling me. I don't deal with them and never have. I've never heard of them until yesterday.

I've received 2 emails so far from this group that I've never heard of before telling me to look at an enotice about my account. I have no account and refuse to open anything from a random email. I have no collections on my record and if this company was legit they'd send me actual mail. I have no idea what this is about or how they got my email address.

This agency has been taking my state tax refund for over 5 years now. This is the second year I called and was told that I had no account with them but still my money has been taken. Nobody at the agency was able to help me, they asked me to send an email and I did that this year and last. The lady on the phone stated i havent had an account with them since 2021, but yet 2024 they are still taking my money. I asked for an explanation and received nothing. My hospital bills were paid off so Im not understanding what is going on. I would just like my money back and them to stop taking money from me

Received a letter from Financial Asset Management Systems a debt collection agency. I phoned and spoke with *********************. I asked if this was regarding ** financial aide and **** replied no. I asked him what this was regarding and he said it was for a Chase Credit card. I asked for the account number and when this came to their attention. **** said it's on the form and it had been referred by Dekalb County Solutions on October 10th 2023.(****************). I informed **** that I find this hilarious because I only have 1 Chase Credit card account and that I am currently in litigation with a completely different company on the matter because ***** illegally sold peoples debt and ***** was fined millions. I aslo said that ***** couldn't have sold my debt to more than one company. He replied you still owe the debt. I said it's impossible and this is definitely fraud and that I would be reporting them to the ***** I then contacted Chase Credit Card Recovery Team and they informed me the account number **** referenced was not affiliated with Chase at all. I called FAMS back and spoke with ********************* when I informed her about the account number not being from ***** and I said this seems like fraud. ****** said well possibly this isn't your debt however for her to cease and desist collections she would need something in writing.

11/4/2023: received a collection letter in the mail that states I had a balance from over 30 years ago for an unspecified debt. This is an obviously fraud and an attempt to get money from me under false pretenses.I do not own this money and demand this issue is cleared up and they never contact me again. If this has been reported to any credit agencies, I demand it is removed from my credit report.

This "business," if you want to call them that I don't, is harassing me at this point; I am receiving 3 to 5 calls a day. No message is ever left. The only reason I even know it was this company is that I looked up the 866 number they use. If it isn't them, fine, as I called the ************ number back, and someone answered with "Simple Solutions," so either lying about the name of their business or they changed their number. If that is the case, no further action is needed from them as they are not the ones calling if they are calling about a debt. I have no unpaid bills in my name; if you think I do, I'll need a mailed letter validating the debt from the original account holder. Also, stop calling me. I have filed an FCC complaint and will get a lawyer if needed. You can deal with me via e-mail or mail, period.

Reference #: ************* I received a letter dated May 5, 2023, from Financial Asset Management Systems **** It incorrectly stated I owe three debts ($17,881.80, $6,702.11, and $2,625.08) for a total of $27,208.99 to Navient. This puts Financial Asset Management Systems **** in multiple violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). I do not owe this debt. On May 15, 2023, I disputed this debt with a certified mail letter ***** Tracking # **********************). Financial Asset Management Systems **** received this letter on May 16, 2023, but did not respond within the 30-day window. Please see the attached **** tracking.I do not owe a debt to Navient. The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) states debt collectors can't use false, deceptive, or misleading practices. This includes misrepresentations about the debt, including:* The amount owed * That the person is an attorney if they are not * False threats to have you arrested * Threats to do things that cannot legally be done * Threats to do things that the debt collector has no intention of doing"This is a debt I do not owe, is uncollectible, and Financial Asset Management Systems **** is making threats that legally cannot be done and they don't have intent on doing. Financial Asset Management Systems **** has also committed a series of Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) violations. Please see the attached file for more details and the full version of this dispute.Thank You,*************************

I have been fighting with this company since 2012 to present regarding an alleged debt they claimed I owed to them. However, I have contacted them on numerous occasions letting them know I do not owe them, nor have I ever owed any companies. After having the rep from FAMS speak to " a billing manager at ********************* letting FAMS know that I do not owe any past bills. FAMS then switched the debt to my husband's name *************************** saying he owes this money. They have been withholding all our ******** refunds since 2013. I have contacted ******** regarding this company and had a case supervisor named ******* on this matter, she then spoke to FAMS who told her to contact ***. The number they gave was not *** it was again FAMS number. This company has been bullying and harassing me, causing me to go into preterm labor in ***************************************************************************************************************************************** order to collect this debt. After I told her I was hiring a lawyer they then stopped contacting me, after a year I again contacted ******** and was told that FAMS needed to sign a release form in order for me to get my money owed to me. I contacted FAMS regarding this release form, and they told me they had nothing to do with it, that the state is holding the money. As attached you will see letters, I contacted FAMS regarding this money. they then claim that it's not *** I owe the money it's a student loan. I have never taken out any student loans. Fast forward to now, after I thought this was settled and I am getting my money. I was sent another letter from the State, Stating FAMS contacted them again saying i now owe ******** from a ******* refund I was expecting, and another ***** owed on my husband's name stating he owed that amount from the ******* refund, so they took the entire check. I am fedup of this company withholding my state refunds I want all the mney they owe me from 2012 to 2023. please help

Financial Asset Management Systems, Inc. (FAMS) does not have the authority to withhold, refund, or release your taxes.  This process is entirely administered by the *******************.  However, FAMS provided the dispute and the supporting documentation directly to the ******************* and ******************* for review.   Per *******************, the accounts for both ************************* and *************************** are valid.   FAMS has requested a copy of the itemized statement.  Once received, FAMS will mail a copy of the itemized statement to the consumer.

I am rejecting this response because: After personally speaking with ******************* and The ******************* it was known that this debt was invalid and then, only then FAMS passed this debt on to another collection agency which stated the debt was a student loan which they had no proof of, Also on a 3 way call with this agency the *********** and **************** FAMS was told the bills did not exists and the aledge bills they were sending to me was invalid and they were statements from bills that were explanations of Hospital visits. This company are a Bully to innocent people and was told by the State to send a signed release form in order for them to release years worth of taxes due to my husband and myself.
